Stole the thread title from the Arrested Development fans. Didn't open that thread, because I've never seen the show, but I instantly felt like the All Time leader in subtle moments among tv shows, deserved such a thread.
Also, I love it when crap like this is pointed out to me, so I'm hoping you guys will bring up a few things I might have missed.
One ground rule for the thread: no discussion of the final scene. It's been done. Over and o
OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.
Just watched the first two - holy cow, this has the potential to be truly great. The budget must be astronomical, because it looks spectacular. The actress who plays Galadriel is damn good, too.
Loved the dwarves and the look at Khazad-dûm in all its glory...it was great fun. Not sure what the meteor with the weird giant is all about, but I guess we shall see.
This season has been good. They've started doing little visual gags during the panel and it flows a bit better than last season. Last week there was an interview with a guy that talked about Apple's factories in China. Seth McFarlane is a usual guest, as is Neil Tyson.
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about a particular season or votes for hottest, best, etc.
Given that who knows when/if the show will come back, here's a general thread to post all things Survivor.
I won't ruin the OP with my content post, so it will come next.
Kinda shocked there isn't a thread yet. This blew me away. Season 1 was great, but season 2.... I can recall very few 'sit up and pay attention' moments in my tv-watching career, and episode 6 had me sitting up and paying attention throughout its entirety.
Just got done watching the WIRE. Came in knowing it was known as the GOAT show or one of the best shows and while I am not sure how to feel about that, I will say each and every ****ing episode , every season kept me entertained. I still need to think on how I would rank the seasons.1 might be the best or worst depending on how I look at it. but as far as shows goes, the show was CONSISTENTLY good through and through. Will say easily,
I think it's a really good idea for everyone to start watching Saturday Night Live again. Last season was great, and this season has been more of the same.
Doubt they'll be able to keep much of the current cast around for a long time, but Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, and Kristin Wiig are some of the funniest people SNL has ever had on the cast if you ask me.
If anyone else watched Jeopardy tonight then maybe they feel my pain on this one. The worst part is that if either of the 2 trailing players had bet the "right" amount they would have won, including the guy who went into Final Jeopardy with only about 1/3 as many chips as the other players.
Dollar amounts of players from right to left entering Final Jeopardy from left to right (I don't remember their names):
I'm in the middle of what is probably my 30th "Sleep Show Marathon" with TWW and I think I can say confidently that it's the best network drama of all time and top 5 overall drama of all time.
The first 4 seasons are about as good as TV can get and even though a good portion of season 5 and 6 were a little meh, the 7th season was pretty close to the quality of the first 4.
I'm genuinely shocked that someone came up with about 90 episode (jus
I’ve watched the first season (9 episodes) and find it very interesting. The premise is disturbing, the same way many of the Black Mirror story lines were.
And USA does it again...they continue to produce top notch shows.
I thought Suits was pretty damn good. Never saw the whole weed angle coming. I think that's what made the show, the whole "guy leaving his past behind him". From the previews I thought it was going to be a "rainman" type deal but the fact that he was trying to sell some bud to keep Fay from Wings in her hospice care was a pretty awesome twist.
The new Star Trek will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.
What shall we talk about in the fourteen months before the pilot episode airs?
