$400 deep, UTG old nit limps, someone raises MP to $15, i $50 with KK OTB, old nit 4b to $175 and looks super strong, MP folds, i tank several minutes and fold. 90% sure he had AA.
then a few hours later, stack $375, I $15 with AA UTG, 1 caller, nittier type 3b to $60 in sb, i 4b to $130 (should have made it $150 but it would have not made a difference), nittier type calls.
I am trying to get better at poker but I keep running into a problem. I am told that I lose because of I am not skilled enough. Then I study and practice and learn new things and go play online for real money and keep losing. My opponents always have a better starting hand and if they are behind then they suck out and so they make better hands than me. How do I study or practice so that I make better hands? Poker's a skill game right? These

I've never posted here. Tonight, I visited the old fraternity house.
Brag: Some of the guys wanted to play some poker. I hardly play these days. It wasn't meant to be a freezeout, but it worked out that way. I now have $310 more dollars.
Beat: I was surrounded by hot college chicks, but am now home alone posting on 2+2.
Was playing on GG and some guy came to the table with a real odd name, took 500BB out of the game within an hour playing every hand he possibly could and then left.
Checked hand history afterwards and noticed his identification number was a little different than anybody else’s. I could just be being paranoid. But thought I’d see if anybody could confirm.
60k starting chips and blinds at 100/100. First orbit. Heads up to the flop and about 1500 in the pot. T52r. Can't remember the action, but both players get their money in (120k pot.) Player A shows TT and player B shows T5... 5 on the turn, 5 on the river. GG.
So I'm playing with infinite effective stacks, and I open on the BTN with 9♥8♥.
Dude in the BB 3-bets.
He's re-popped my BTN opens all day, so I take a stand. I 4-bet.
He thinks for 30 seconds... and then 5-bets. Large. I 6-bet larger.
It goes round and round like that. What did Harrington say about the 30-bet? Always aces? How do I adjust to a guy who is capable of 45-betting light? By the time I remember (you're supposed to tighten up your 44-
I was on the button with **10-10**. UTG opened with a raise of 3 big blinds, and I 3-bet to 9 big blinds. Both the big blind and UTG called. The flop came **9-8-4**. The big blind checked, and UTG bet 18 big blinds into a pot of around 27 big blinds. We all had 50 big blinds in total.
I decided to go all-in, but UTG called with **8-8**, which gave them a set on the flop. I ended up losing the hand.
