Kind of nitty asian guy with headphones open-limps in early position and someone else overlimps. I raise A4s in the CO, BTN folds, both blinds call, limpers call. 5 ways.
Flop 533r. Checked to me and I bet. SB calls, BB calls, nitty limper raises, other limper folds, I call, SB folds, BB calls.
Turn Ar. BB checks, limper donk-checks, I check back. (I figure this donk check is either a hand that has very few outs or a stone cold monste
Old guy opens mp. He’s opened A7o from early and 33 utg. Seems sticky but I don’t know. I three bet QhJx on the button. Flop is 974 one heart. He check/calks. Turn is Th. He check/calls. River is 6h. He checks. Barrel?
Gambly asian guy who plays way too many hands but seems to have a clue postflop open limps the HJ and I raise the CO with black KK. My image is LAG and winning. Blinds fold, HJ calls, HU.
Flop A72tt, I have a BDFD. HJ checks, I check back. HJ says "you play too good for me" and bets dark.
Turn 8r. I call the dark bet.
River Ar. HJ waits for the card to hit before betting this time. I call.
Here’s a situation that comes up quite a bit. Early position opens, one or two callers, and we have an hand like Ace Six unsuited in the big blind. Is this an automatic call? Long term does it make much of a difference? Let’s make the assumption we’re capable of folding top pair if the action suggests we’re beat.
I haven't played FLH at Bovada (or online in general) in years. I used to play regularly at FT and PS. It seems the 10/20 and 30/60 LHE games at Bovada have fairly low traffic but there is usually a game running during peak hours. If any of you play these games, are they still profitable? Do you suspect other players are using bots? Are the cheap bots even really good--I mean can a solid player beat a cheap/bad bot?
LA game. I raise in middle position with black Aces. Aggressive skillful player on my immediate left three bets. He can have a very wide range in this spot. He probably perceives me as being on the tighter side. Everyone else folds and I call. I normally don’t four bet regardless of what I have in a heads up scenario like this.
Flop comes J 7 6 all hearts.
I check and villain bets.
What’s my best course of action? I’m pretty sure villain w
I’m the first one to admit this. I sometimes struggle when I’m playing OOP.
Aggressive button opens. He’s the best player at the table and has a very wide opening range. He’ll open with hands like T6s, K5s, 98o, etc. He will almost always bet the flop heads up and cbet most turns if he has the initiative or senses weakness.
I make it 3 bets from the SB with QJs. BB folds so we’re heads up.
Flop comes 8d 9s Td. I don’t have a flush draw or b
I open 98s in middle position. I get one cold-caller and both blinds call. The main villain is in the BB. He is an older middle aged asian guy who is not awful, but is bluffy, overly tricky, and puts in too much action in bad spots.
Flop 885r. Blinds check, I bet, only BB calls.
Turn 8. BB checks, I bet, BB raises. He obviously cannot have the other 8 and has either a 5, another pocket pair, or some random airball. I think there is a n
Bad old guy open limps HJ and I raise K9ss in the CO. SB (young/middle aged asian woman who seems like she has a clue) cold calls, BB folds, limper calls.
Flop 652r, I have a BDFD. Checked to me and I check it back.
Turn Js. SB leads, limper calls, I call.
River Qc. SB checks, limper checks, I give up and check it back.
Good thinking pro LAG raise UTG+1 I 3! AA cutoff. Heads up Flop J103hh He C/R I call planning to raise most turn cards. Turn Ah he bets, I 2!, he 3! and I?
TAG regular opens in late middle position and I 3bet AKo next in. Folded back around to him and he 4bets (which surprises me because I have never seen him 4bet out of position HU before the flop). HU to the flop.
Flop AQ3tt. He bets, I call.
Turn Jr. He bets, I call.
River 9r. He checks, I bet, he raises. I puke, question whether I should have bet the river at all, and very reluctantly call.
Bad spazzy asian guy (who has a limping range) opens HJ and I 3bet ATdd in the CO. Super loose and quite aggressive guy calls 2.5 cold in the SB and HJ calls.
Flop T68r, I have a BDFD. Checked to me and I bet. SB and HJ both call.
Turn 5 putting up a different flush draw. Checked to me, I bet, SB calls, HJ c/r. He doesn't have any hand that makes sense, so I decide to 3bet to knock the SB out with the idea that it is the last $ I put int
Nitty older guy limps UTG+1 and slightly less nitty older Asian woman limps next in. Folded to me in the CO and I raise AJs. BTN coldcalls, BB calls, limpers call.
Flop AKQtt. BB checks, first limper donks, second limper calls, I call, BTN raises, BB folds, both limpers call. I call.
Turn J putting up a second flush draw. Limpers both check, I donk, BTN calls, first limper raises, second limper folds, I call (intending to fold any non A
I opened with A7c in late position in an 8 handed game.
SB three bets and BB folds. SB is a solid player who doesn’t get out of line very often.
Flop comes A 2 9.
SB checks and I check.
I expected the SB to bet regardless of the flop. I would normally bet in this spot but I decided to check hoping to extract a bet or two from the villian on the turn or river.
