Is Dealer Out of Line

Large main pot, medium side pot.

Player who is only in main prematurely shows the nuts.

Player 2, slides his cards face down (he's in seat 6 or 7 and muck is on the other side of the table). Dealer instead of picking up his cards says other players show hands for the side. Player 2 retrieves his cards and shows 88 which beats Player 3's missed garbage.

Player 3 goes insane and the entire table and floor let him know he lost the side because

Poker Etiquette Question

In my home game (cash game), I was reprimanded for “not showing common courtesy”. I don’t understand what I did wrong so I’m asking others to weigh in. In the hand in question, I was last to act after the river in a PLO bomb pot. It was a heads up with my opponent to my right. In our PLO bomb pots, there are two boards. After my opponent checked, I raised to the pot limit, he calls and we split the pot. He then gave me a harsh reprimand for

I am starting a poker room- what should I include? What should I not include?

I have the opportunity to open a private invitational and fully legit room.
I know what I'd want in a room but I'd love to hear your thoughts to make it incredibly good for players as an experience.
Here are some things so far:

- massage girls
- smoke-free / air purifyers
- luxury chairs
- well trained dealers
- free beer, some liquor free
- luxurious private decor
- security guy

Cameras - do we need? This is invitational and private so nobody

Pay Changes for the 'Floor' in my Local Room

Was at my local room a few weeks ago, and the floors were complaining to some of the regs that the room had changed the pay structure for the Floor employees.

At first the floors were earning 15$ an hour and could collect tips, now they were earning $30 an hour and did not have the ability to accept tips unless they were working as a 'dealer' that day. Many of them expressed that this change was now hurting their bottom line.

My question is

Minimum Raise With A Straddle

We have a NL game with a $5 small blind, $10 big blind and a $20 straddle. If I want to raise, what is the minimum raise? $30 or $40?

Google says $30 (see below):

"In a no-limit game if any other player wants to make a raise with a straddle on board, the minimum raise will be the difference between the big blind and the straddle. Example: small blind is at 5, big blind is 10 then a straddle would cost 20."

I hear arguments on both sides, b

Time Charge Question

Time charge question. I’m at a new casino. Night 1, I sit down and they deal me in free behind the button and I pay the time charge at the next dealer change about 20 minutes later.

Night 2, as I sit down the dealer has pulled in time from all players and asks me for time and I say I’ll wait till the next hand. He says nope and won’t proceed unless I pay.

Maybe this is room dependent but I’ve never had to pay time if I haven’t been dealt

3 way pot, 2 players to act, dealer possibly reveals card to player who had acted

4/8 LHE game 8 handed.

SB is to the very right of the dealer and bets the turn with out the dealer seeing it after the Co and BTN had indicated checks prematurely.

Dealer burns and lifts river card with a slight flair, possibly revealing it to the SB -who has already acted-as the table is pointing out the bet. He returns the card to the top of the deck, has the CO and BTN complete their actions(they called the bet) and calls the floor.

Realized I was overpaid in split pot, what to do? (Poll)

In a 3-way all-in double board bomb pot, I won the first board, and chopped the second board. The shortest stack got 0, I (largest stack) got 3/4, and the other player got 1/4. The dealer seemed kind of tentative, needing a prompt to bring in the right amounts from each stack for the main pot, and leaving the side pot for the end.

When the final cards were dealt, I said I cover the other guy in the side pot, so I get half of his stack for th

How to Deal with Bullying

I get bullied a lot playing live poker, and I don't know how to deal with it. I'm very quiet, introverted, suffer from chronic anxiety and depression, and have been told by mental health professionals I appear to be "on the spectrum." I have been a target of bullies most of my life, and this plays out in poker too. I'm a semi-regular player, and one of the other regulars always makes a comment about me when he sits down at my table, somethi

Dealer Messed Up - WWYD?

Playing 2/2 PLO in local room.

Dealer is a regular dealer that has been dealing since I have started playing poker in the NH rooms ~ 2010ish. Guy is usually funny, but can be an airhead make mistakes, seems like he is just a space cadet.

Anyway on to the situation -

Player A and Player B are all-in on the turn - dealer drops the stub, spreads the remaining deck out, essentially into the muck, asks players to reveal their cards. Players state t

Giving SSN. Bad idea or doesn't really matter?

Long story short. I play 2 days a week. I've never cashed over 10k, but they "require" my SSN sometimes when I cash out (usually anywhere between 3k to 9k when I cash out and they ask). I've always refused. They denied cashing me out last week because of it. Last night they tried to again. I got lottery to come down. They cashed me out but the cashier said for now on they will refuse if she sees me.

I just really prefer not to because it's m

Starting a UK poker room - any experience?

Hi guys, myself and my best mate (both early 30s) are looking to get out of the rat race and turn a lifelong passion for poker into a business by starting a poker room in the UK. We've got a name and a website already (www.thegrindcardroom.co.uk), we've spoken to the gambling commission and have started drafting up a rough idea of costs. An ideal next step would be to pick the brains of anyone with experience in this field - please let me k

How “Bad” is this…

1/3 NLHE deep.

I am BB. 3 or 4 limps. Action is on SB. SB has been slowing game down but just a little. SB has also been active from all positions. SB is distracted, stacking chips.

Now the question…action still on SB who is now considering what to do. Dealer proceeds to pull in all the limps and BB.

How bad is this? When I say ‘Hey has hasn’t acted’ dealer is like it’s fine NBD.

Really tilted me for bit. Dealer is on my will not tip lis

You're the floor...

$1/2 card room

V1 limps pre UTG

H in LJ makes it $10

V2 IN BB says to V1, "I'll call if you call"

They both call. Dealer who was speaking to a brush verifies what he thinks he's heard and admonishes both players and prepares to flop.

I call the floor.

Floor admonished both players and says significant action with 3 players, so no penalty, continue the hand.

Was this handled correctly? The floor's logic that there are 3 in the hand is what

flipped cards

very strange situation never happened before. dealing a private event with lots of fans. well, dealing to a table of nine, the card pushed to the dealer flipped over. The deal was continued, and the dealer received the last card. normally the deal would conclude with the dealer button then I would replace the turned over card with a fresh one and make that card the first burn card.

but luck as it has it, the replacement card for the dealer t

Where to find 5 and 6 card PLO games

Hi guys,

I'm looking for good 5 and 6 card PLO cash games (preferably 6 cards), where can I find them in the world? I have played 6c in London but it seems it is the only place in the world where I can find it.

How often do you play?

I played mainly online earlier, with some live interspersed. Now it's only live, and practically solely NLH tournaments with a 50 bucks buy in. As my main game was online O8 for a long time I have only recently gone deeper into the cadillac. Inspiring. My tournaments are every second week, but have long hiatuses during summer as I'm out of town. Looking forward to the next. How about you?

Who has to show first?

I’ve been playing poker for 49 years and always thought the last aggressor had to show first at showdown. Last night, on the turn, I checked, and V on the button bet. I called. I checked the river and v checked back. I was waiting for V as the last aggressor to show. Dealer said I have to show first because V’s check back on the river is like calling my bet of nothing.

Correct Ruling? Hand Tabled Across Betting Line

Late night 2/5 game, our storyÂ’s protagonist is some combination of drunk, doesnÂ’t speak English well, possibly some sort of mental abnormality. When he speaks, heÂ’s mumbling quietly, he needed bomb pots explained to him, but easily knew how to post when coming back from the bathroom. Just sort of erratic like sometimes he was present sometimes he wasnÂ’t. His play also erratic, fairly active , showed down a few junky hands, weird sizing

Where do you play?

Hi everyone, I’ve noticed that this subforum isn’t very active. Maybe we can change that?

I’ve been playing online casinos for about a decade and I still haven’t lost my house (that’s good). Perhaps a good way to start a conversation and get to know each other is to talk about where we play.

I’m a bit of a bonus hunter, so generally, I’m all over the place, with a few new casinos every month, but I have a couple of “bases” that I keep coming
