2024 March Madness Bracket Pools
Welcome! This is the beta version of the new TwoPlusTwo forum.

2024 March Madness Bracket Pools

I'm back again to run the pool this year. I will escrow the money for the pools and am collecting zero fees for doing so.

Inflation is up, Stocks are at all time highs, I think we can bump up the entry fees a bit this year. One $75 Pool and One $300 Pool.

Rules

I'm going to run through Yahoo with the same scoring system as we've always used (2-3-5-7-11-15). Allowing a max of 4 brackets per person in the $75 and 3 brackets per person in the $300. Payouts will be determined by number of entrants, probably paying out around 3-5% of the entries depending on how many people enter. All brackets must be paid for by Noon Eastern on Thursday. Any Brackets that are not paid for by noon will be declared ineligible. If you send $$ after noon on Friday, your bracket will be disqualified and your money will be returned.

All entries must follow the format of Bracket Name = "2p2name" (1 through 3)

So for my 3 brackets in the Yahoo site, it's

Zimmer4141 (1)

Zimmer4141 (2)

Zimmer4141 (3)

Payment

This is a cash only pool. I'm not a crypto guy, I don't accept BTC or other crypto as payment. There are 2 ways to pay me.

Paypal or Zelle. That's it. I refuse to use Venmo after having issues with them two years ago.

Put your 2p2 name and your 2p2 name only in the memo line. Do not put anything related to gambling, madness, basketball, any of that. Don't be an idiot.

Entering

Send me a PM if you're interested. I will send you a Google Form to fill out, the link to the Yahoo pool with password, and my Payment Information.

This will immensely help me track payments and entries. I'm working a full time job and have a 2 year old at home, so I'd greatly appreciate if you make this as easy as possible on me.

Please post in this thread after you've submitted your payments and brackets and we will track entries in this thread as a double check to make sure everything's squared away.

Happy bracketing!

All Unpaid Brackets have until Noon Eastern Thursday or brackets will be forfeited.

Current Discrepancies

BananaKendrick has submitted two brackets in the $75, I have no record of payment or a Google Form filled out. If payment is not received by noon Eastern on Thursday these will be disqualified.

Roger (High Impact) has submitted one bracket, I have payment for two. If the second bracket is not sumbitted I will refund the extra money.

Just entered and paid for 2 in the $300 thanks for running!

Entries are now closed.

BananaKendrick must immediately contact me for Payment or his entries will be void.

Roger (High Impact) and staticflyboy have not entered their brackets into the $75 Pool on Yahoo. If their brackets get in before Yahoo's deadline they will count, if not their entry fees will be refunded.

Glgl everyone

Are the brackets WTA or do they pay out 1 2 3 etc?

Final totals:

$75 Pool
138 entries for a total prize pool of $10,350

$300 Pool
64 Entries for a total prize pool of $19,200

I never received payment from BananaKendrick.

I can't remove the entries from the $75 pool, but the entries will not count.

Payouts:

$75 Pool
1st - $4,500
2nd - $2,600
3rd - $1,350

$300 Pool

Thanks for running, Zim!!

Kind of bummed so many people took Arizona in the 75 pool. Only 5 percent of brackets on espn and yahoo selected them. We are over ten percent in ours. I guess this group should be expected to be sharper than the general bracket population

You’re good people zim

How are you able to see what % picked which champion? Is it through the "Scenario Generator"? That gives me a message saying it will become live once the tournament starts but it's not up and running for me.

I cant believe 3 other jabronis picked Creighton to win it all ....My strategy in these big entrant brackets has always been to pick an underdog team that no one else does, with the understanding that I could flame out in the first weekend , but if they make it deep I have a shot to win as long as the rest of my bracket isnt a dumpster fire.

I finished 2nd in this league back in 2014 when I utilized this strategy correctly (luckily) picking #7 Uconn to win it all. I think picking the champion accounted for more points back then , so my strategy now may not be the best.

on the standings page the champion of that bracket is listed below the bracket name - then i just did a ctrl+f for teams name. there might be a better way but thats the way i did it.

Only person in the 300 with a perfect bracket!

This will probably be my only highlight of this pool so I’m taking it

Just realized my brackets never updated (maybe I never clicked save) so I have my duplicate placeholders in the 300. Gonna chop 1st with myself!

Current Discrepancies - Some people have responded to these but I'm just posting them here as a reminder and for my own record keeping. The only relevant deadline is noon tomorrow, but posting here just helps me keep track of everything:

BananaKendrick has submitted two brackets in the $75, I have no record of payment or a Google Form filled out. If payment is not received by noon Eastern on Thursday these will be disqualified.

huge doxing exposing myself as a non rick but i think I'm the adam m in question and i I'm in the brackets as adam 1, adam 2, adam 3 & adam's dad (who's crushing it btw but chose utah state to go to finals so we'll see how long it lasts)

sorry for confusion as not entering as rickroll but if I needed to show it to my dad it was a lot easier than explaining there's this thing called 2p2 and we all have alt identities there

It's probably more that many people have multi-entries, so they can just choose a different winner for each bracket. Although for people like me entering who don't know **** about college basketball, I imagine we are all listening to a few podcasts and reading a few articles to make our decisions.

And then no matter what it is, people hate picking back-to-back winners, so that probably got quite a few people off UConn.
