2024 Las Vegas Summer Series - non-WSOP
Anyone have a clue when some schedules are going to drop?

There’s already a thread about this. Nobody knows yet but since the WSOP schedule is finally out, it should happen soon.
I have found that the Venetian posts their Deepstravangza schedules about 2 months in advance. The April schedule came out about a week or two ago (so 6 or 7 weeks in advance).
Having said that, the Venetian and Wynn typically host Senior events just before, during, and just after the WSOP Senior and Super Senior events. Often cleverly on Day 2, 3, and 4 when there is no competition from the WSOP. And their day 2 (if there are any) don't conflict with any Day 1's from the WSOP.
Orleans might have like a $400 senior at this time as well. Maybe two.
The Golden Nugget typically has like a multiple day (at least 3 days) $300 tourney that has 3 start times each day (like 11am, 2pm, 5pm) and if you get in the money more than once your smaller stack was worth $1,500 (which was roughly 25th place in the Day 2 with about 300 players making it). This was before Covid so I don't know if they are still doing it. And the GN will have a couple of Senior events around the WSOP time as well.
I think the MGM had one Senior tourney last summer as well but I could be wrong about that...
Planet Hollywood has shut down which is tragic as their fields were the worst in my opinion.
And Binions I haven't seen any NL (they used to do a seniors) but a lot of other types of tournies. Binions was the only casino I have ever seen do a BTN ante instead of a BB ante which is much better because for players don't benefit from some rooms way of doing it (where their Blind comes first and then the ante which is unfair to all other players which have anted for the BB up until that point).
Have fun this summer in Vegas!
Edit: my bad --- there is a full schedule out for the Venetian and others as well. See the other thread. And the Aria has Senior event as well (which I play at every year so why I forgot that I don't know...)

can you link the other forum please?
Aren't all their events senior events? 😀
Haha nice post dogface! I was going to email tommy larosa earlier today asking for
When schedule could be released and whether I could see a preliminary version of it (I doubt they would give that out).
Any guesses when other series could be released? I’m most interested in Wynn, orleans, aria, and maybe gold nugget/ mgm as those rooms tend to offer what I like.
Btw I love wsop time but I wish they would run more like $400-800 big field great structure stuff outside of the WSOP. Venetian has a nice schedule but most of it is $800-2k. Me personally, I would much rather play a $400-600 vs a $1100 that might have a smaller field. I know goofy to say and they want to maximize money and don’t have unlimited space- just wish Venetian didn’t deviate so much from their normal mtt schedules. $600-800 multi day big
Field gtns are bread and butter my favs. I know it’s laughable but a $600-800 vs a $1100 is a huge difference I feel. 3 bullets at a $600 is $1800 while $1100 is $3300. Trying to make my bankroll go as far as possible while still playing best mtts with solid structures and not say the golden nugget $400 big field gtn that has a laughable quick structure that is prolly 15-20
Bb avg when itm
Wynn usually releases their schedule after Venetian I would expect mid/late March and wynn late March/early April
The price of good events is just higher in summer across the board. You can argue that it's a better time to play in LV because there are more fish and tourists, but purely from a value standpoint, something like the Wynn series in April will provide much better quality and structure for lower cost ($400-600 events with strong fields and 40 minute levels). You generally need to pay $1k+ to get that in Vegas during the summer. The majority of cheap stuff will be single day with 30 minute levels.
I'm looking forward to the WSOP as usual, but my summer trip will be short and sweet this year. When you add the brutal heat and long cash wait lists to the high price points, I think it's in some ways the worst time of the year to visit Vegas as a card player.
The appeal of it is the huge variety if events and the huge fields, but it's not the best season for quality and value.
FYI, the Venetian poker room is moving to a new location on the second floor this summer. I'm not sure if it will happen before this year's DSC series, but either way, I am sure they are busy with lots of stuff on top of creating a summer schedule.
Is there nearby space for the tournaments? I've never been in that area.
I have no idea if the series will have additional space. But the new poker room is supposed to have 50 tables, which would be about 40% more than the current room.
I’m hoping Venetian runs a similar schedule to last year. They had a $1100 500k and 300k or similar gtns that I think are the sweet spot for me. Great structure and buyin I’m comfortable playing where 1st will be chunky.
I plan to avoid mystery bounties. I’m a big fan of multi day flight one mtts so I expect Wynn and Venetian will be what I want along with maybe mgm grand/ gold nugget/ etc. I also really like the $600 one days aria runs. I feel they bring out a lot of players and have solid prize pools.
I’m a hater of mystery bounties honestly. The $1k wsop 1mill bounty to me is a joke. Way too much money goes to one lucky player. I like mtts that just focus on rewarding top 3 the most. Wynn / Venetian to me are the gold standard for vegas. By far my 2 favorite rooms to play a tourny at.
I agree about the mystery bounties, at least the ones with such huge payouts, but I disagree about the top 3 stuff. That has a lot to do with luck too. Any event which gets 1000 entries and certainly those with 10x that need to have less top-heavy payout structures, IMO.
So far none of the WSOP competitor published their June/ July tournament schedule yet !
I am particularly interested in Venetian, Orleans, MGM , Mirage,Bellagio, Resort World and Golden Nuggets .
Sahara use to have good dailies too.
There’s hundreds, if not thousands of us out there waiting on these schedules in order to finalise our dates for this summer. The competitors can’t organise their schedules until the WSOP schedule is issued, and those pigs were ridiculously late this year.
WSOP have already lost the battle for primacy during the winter to the WPT series in December. I’d love to see someone lay down a real challenge to them at summertime too, those complacent bastards really need a shake up.
Yeesh, living up to your username with such an aggressive post.
Don’t you not agree that WSOP have become increasingly self-serving and complacent? Would you not also like to see a rival organisation emerge to challenge their summer hegemony?
I don’t think Dr. Meh would have commented on your post if you had put it this way, instead of invoking pigs and bastards.
Bingo
Can we all make a pact not to bump this thread until a schedule has actually been released at one of the mentioned properties?
Kevmath just posted on Instagram that The Golden Nugget’s dates for 2024 are May 28 to July 1. Apparently the info derives from GN’s Bravo feed, with further details to follow…..
