WSOP 2024 - Wire transfer

Hello guys,

I m coming in Vegas this summer to play the WSOP. I m french and I m looking for a way to buy-in to WSOP tournaments. I wanted to do it via wire transfer as I did for the last years but apparently this year you can't wire transfer directly to the casino. You have to use Bravo/Payfiniti which is an application that I ve never used and never heard of. Therefore I don t really trust this new application and I don t wanna send large amounts of money to it.

I wanted to know if anybody had an opinion on this new Payfiniti app or if you had any alternatives to buy-in Wsop tournaments as a foreigners.

Thank you guys !

You've never heard of Bravo (Poker Live)?
They've been around for quite awhile. I could be wrong, but I believe that Bravo purchased Payfinity to use as their payment processing service. That doesn't make it risk free, of course, but it's not like it's a brand new startup, either.

Unfortunately, it appears that is currently the only way to electronically buy in to an event or fund a tbic account.

There's still a chance wsop & caesars respond to the negative feedback and decide to allow wires again, but I wouldn't count on it.

The only other options would be to:

Bring cash - read up on the rules and when/where to declare it. Also do research on converting it to dollars to get best rate.

Use ATM's w/ credit card and/or bank card. More hassle due to daily limits and how much you need to withdraw. Also, based on number of withdrawals, conversion rates and fees, this may be the most expensive option.

Bringing some cash, with plans to use ATM's for more, is probably the best compromise.

Good Luck

I don't think you need to use payfiniti. I think you can just use BravoPokerLive to register and select the wire money option. At least that is what I've done in the past. Lately I've been registering with Bravo and using a credit card. Can't do that for the Main Event though. I don't see a payfiniti app yet either.

Personally I was not comfortable with the informational requirements that Payfiniti wanted for access to my personal bank account. I contacted WSOPFAQ and Paris Cage about other options.

Basically you can fund a TBIC account with an approved Cashiers Check to avoid the PAYFINITI/Bravo Application

Contact
WSOP Faq

and

CZRCredit

For the specific process

Both support area's were very helpful and the process as they laid out is fairly simple. I wish they took Wires as they have in years past but this is the safest option. Oh my French wife says the equivalent of a US Bank Cashiers Check is CHE'QUE DE BANQUE (or possibly CHE'QUE CERTIFIE' DE BANQUE if less than 8 days)

It sucks that we can t wire money anymore because it was the cheapest and safest way to proceed.

But now I have some alternative ways to proceed

Thank you for your answers guys

Last week, I wired money to payfiniti to avoid the large percentage fee on credit card payments I did last year. Just $25 flat. Anything I don’t use, they say I’ll get back into the same bank. Money transferred the day after the transfer. My bank has no fee to send wires.
Once transferred, I transferred from Payfiniti to Bravo through the BravoLive website (not app).
For the fun of it, I used the bravo website to register for the mystery million. All was smooth.

If you want to wire more than $100k, you can wire directly to Caesars.

I got some instructions for wiring USD to PayFiniti from UK and I want to wire from Revolut, where I only have one field for ABA and one for bank account number. Which details and bank address should I use - the Beneficiary or the Intermidiary bank?

Did you get those instructions from Payfiniti directly? I think you need to have them clarify.

With no further information, I would use the Beneficiary bank info. Otherwise, the intermediary bank would not know where to send it.

If you are bringing a cashiers check who do you have it made out to?

If you are bringing a cashiers check who do you have it made out to?

You can make it out to YOURSELF or to PARIS see email from the Cage Mgr below BUT you need to submit a COPY of the Cashiers check to them IN ADVANCE so they can verify it.

XXXXX
Hello,

The cashiers check can be made payable to Paris, WSOP, or the Name of the guest.

Note: guest must be the remitter/purchaser of the check. We are unable to accept any third party checks.

Thank you

I know this is all correct but if I were you I would verify this via email yourself so you are 100% sure and not trust a guy on a message board. You may be coming in from outside the US and rules / procedure might be different.

Thanks, I did email them and sent a copy of the check. Arriving next week so hopefully won't have any issues

Good but VERIFY they received it. I sent mine 5/29 and had to RESEND it this morning. They were helpful and nice but the email appears to have gotten lost. I resent and again will follow up to CONFIRM they have it.

I never trust anything with money will get done right the first time and the last thing I or anyone else wants is to have an issue when we present our certified check to fund a WSOP TBIC account and have them say there is a problem.

I have until the June 16th to make sure there are no more snafu's on their end. Again they are helpful and trying but they are also probably swamped so I try to leave no room for error.

So again I suggest you verify their approval in a few days just to be sure.
