Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Israel will be up for round 2

Between Russia, North Korea, Iran, Palestinains, Hezbollah, Houthis and possibly China it really does feel like the Axis of Evil is sensing weakness in the liberal free world and looking to take advantage.

In order to maintain their reputation for being tough, how many bombs does the USA have to drop for every protest at Harvard?

Definitely getting a fist bump from the axis for bombing a college protest.

Iran would love it for Saudi to come into Gaza. Would be open season on Saudi troops.
Also is the regular Saudi army competent at all? I'm sure they have all kinds of fancy training but coming into the Gaza aftermath with a remnant hostile force, they'll probably just be hiding in their green zone eating mortars all day and night.

The only competent militaries are the ones who have been doing the fighting and the guerilla forces who have been defending. (And Ukraine)

That’s about it. China? SA? India ? Untested and poorly trained

Ya SA and it's mercenaries got their asses kicked by the Houthis.

If they wanted the job done the US would get it done.

That footage of the guys when they took that ship a month ago or whatever. Landing in a helicopter and looking pretty geared. Guys look like a problem.

I dont think you can eradicate a resistance movement without annihilation of the entire group. or ofc Israel and the USA could give them their freedom lol.

Gaza is a bit different because of its size. Probably 50% of the group will do the job.

pretty grim. they may be able to achieve it. certainly have the backing of the West.

scenes from the food truck sniping yesterday were incredible. thousands of people all across the beach as far as you could see waiting for a truck.

today they murdered some fisherman.

so yesterday they just sniped a few starving people waiting for the food truck. today they bombed them with planes.

lots of reports from hospitals of people starting to starve to death.

Have you ever seen breaking bad? The key is to off them all at the same time. You cut off enough beads at once and the hydra dies

The war with Hezbollah is inevitable now. Less than 4 months imho. They have to secure the North for Israeli citizens to be able to go home safely. The troops are resting now ahead of that front.

Btw the IDF in Gaza has lost under 200 men since the incursion. The Hamas count is coming up on 9000. That's 45 to 1. It's 48 to 1 if you use the exact counts. Apparently the main issue is Hamas can't seem to mount attacks in excess of 10 guys, the organizational structure and communication apparatus isn't there.

People that think kill counts matter in guerilla warfare are sadly mistaken

Let’s incentivize the ratio! Then people lie about how many kills they found. And that benefits the guerilla force

Hamas still need some strength in numbers to launch Oct 7th style attacks, launch rockets effectively from multiple positions, dig more tunnels, and so on.

Taking their numbers down below 1000 is going to unquestionably help the average Israeli citizen sleep at night. I agree with you that it won't snuff out all violence.

If their numbers get really low, there's a good chance people will fear their reprisals far less.

First off they will never launch an attack like that again as Israel’s perspective on life was changed by that event and they will adjust.

Below 1000? Their numbers are growing exponentially. People hate Jews man. It’s sad. It means that the freedom fighters will be flocking there to do their crazy ****. Or maybe they won’t. I dunno. I wouldn’t bet on their numbers declining long term over this.

He's essentially saying that nearly every male killed is Hamas. It's absurd.

And no PW, people don't hate the Jews. The Zionists really want you to believe that tho.

Yeah but posters here want to get rid of the only safe haven for jews. But they aren't antisemitic!

this is backwards. Israel is probably the most unsafe place that Jews currently live. its far safer in Europe or USA.

Well, if you leave out October 7th, the USA is more dangerous than Israel just because of the general homicide rate. Most of Europe is safer though.

Honestly if things get much worse here we'll consider going back. And this is what you hear in Jewish communities all over the world right now. I've attended gatherings all over, the comments are all the same.

In Israel they're processing a literal record amount of applications to come from France. Never before seen numbers. They're looking at this as one of the great returns from the Diaspora. And it makes a lot sense.

You aren't safe being openly Jewish in NA or Europe or Australia right now. An Orthodox Jew is harassed on the daily right now. More reform Jews who aren't visibly Jewish is another story. But if someone can see you're Jewish, it's a rough time outside of Israel.

In Israel there's a near unstoppable force willing to die for you to protect you. The stories coming out of the IDF right now are CRAZY. Guys getting crushed by buildings, making miraculous recoveries, and going BACK into Gaza. The amount of people who came back to Israel to put on the uniform are in numbers not seen since 1967. And it's the most unified the country has been since the wars like 67.

I would feel 1 million times safer in Tel Aviv than Paris. And that will be the case up until Iran has nukes. When Iran has nukes, we can reopen this conversation. Till then, it's not close. You want to be where your protectors are. The Diaspora has very few.

by metsandfinsfan k

But yeah, Israel is not all that safe for Jews. Jews are hated around the world and in the US for sure. Look at what happened in Pittsburg. Look at Charlottesville. Look at that ****ing Evangelical POS who spoke at the Israel rally. So, yeah, be vigilant in the US and Europe, but Israel is not really safe and the warmongering right-wing monsters in the government there have done their best to make sure that it won't be safe going forward. Yes, strong military, but still, constantly at war thanks to the racists who were so terrified of free Arabs that they segregated them and limited their free population to the level they considered guaranteed to be overridden in any elections.
