Bryson's sequence of events was just absurd on 13
Probably the greatest betting tip I ever got was Danny Willett in the 2016 Masters. I was playing poker at Ocala Jai Alai joint and a guy had a story going about how Danny Willett was way undervalued and was a great wind player (bad weather that year). He was 55/1 on the Tuesday before the tourney.
What can I say? I liked the story. Normally with a tip "gift horse" like that I either laugh it off, or, if it's a ball game, take the opposite side. I was very successful with that opposite side play over the years ... somehow I had a special radar for when tips/touts were BS, which is most always.
This time I kept crunching the story and kept liking it. Strange. I took the 55/1, somebody saw that and followed me on Thursday when it had gone up to 70/1. Well the bookie was pissed and threatened to cut us off, but ultimately didn't.
To this day I couldn't tell you what Danny Willett looks like or pick him out of a line up. But here we are again. Bad weather at Masters and he comes out of the shadows. I slept on it ... don't have him this time. I wonder what odds he was. Anyway he's blowing up on 18 ... just wondering what odds he was.
+60000
Cut to +6 one time. Thought my to make the cut parlay was dead hours ago.
Most likely hinging on Rory or Rahm since JT gonna at least bogey the 18th
MATSUYAMA! So unexpected
I think if Wyndham Clark birdies one of the last two, it will drop to +5?
Edit: He bogeyed 17 instead
Won't matter when McIlroy double-bogeys to finish at +6
Edit:nevermind
It's a wrap unless he miraculously eagles 18
When was the last time 69 was low for a round at the Masters? It was a legit test of golf today
Tiger gave up sex for a 6 over round?
It's nice that Scheffler's horseshit rungood chip-ins are mitigated by his horrendous putting.
Bryson you LOSER
happy for Brybaby
a bit of good news to sleep on
Well it's hedging on Scheffler time. I stabbed at a bunch of pricey players pre-tournament, all for $50.
Koepka +2000
Fleetwood +4000
Morikawa +5400
Homa +6200
I've got current 2nd and 3rd at long prices and a great shot if it isn't Scheffler.
Vijay is currently 1 stroke better than Tiger. Tiger +15 and last of those that made the cut.
This seems to be the normal, starts off looking ok and just gets worse every day.
If the reports are true as to how much time it takes to get his body ready to play, it's no surprise at all that yesterday was a bad day after a very long day Friday. He just isn't physically able and his competititve future is dim as a result even though he can still do golf things at an elite level.
It’s also quite impressive that Vijay was able to walk 72 holes on an ankle in such bad shape that he was allowed to ride at last year’s US Senior Open.
pretty impressive for Homa to only be one back after making his first birdie in 34 holes, most players would have shot themselves out of it during a stretch like that.
I had Homa pre as well. Got in on Morikawa before yesterday's round since I had a few others circling. Let's get it.
Team Morikawa
This is going to be fun.
4 way tie is awesome
One of these guys is really going to have to play their ass off to beat Scheffler.
I love Morikawa. He might be the only one that really draws me since Tiger and Phil faded. I do like Koepka too ... I know most don't like him.
Morikawa and Aberg now 4 shots back due to one bad hole each. Homa needs to do something or this is over in a few more holes.
Edit: And one shot later Morikawa is done.
Edit: And now Homa is dead. Gratz Scottie!
