DB analysis, looking to add aggression

Hi all,

I’m doing a database review and I noticed my aggression is low. I created a filter for lines where I checked every street.

How would you sift through these hands to find spots where aggression could have been used?

Is this a bad approach to increasing my aggression factor?

Starting to get suspicious

I'm really struggling to put into words what has been going on. I am losing an entire buy in roughly every 300 hands for the last 20k hands. By no means am I claiming to be a great player. But this is 5nl and I am mostly losing to fish/whales. All my value hands seem to get sucked out on the turn o

Jamming for protection?

Worried that my run bad has turned into play bad.

I was concerned if I called here V could hit 2p on the turn or make a set or straight. Normally I would just call here but I've just been getting killed on the turn over the past 20k hands or so.

On this flop I think V c

Normally I would just be calling a raise here but I have posted similar hands in the past and it seems like the overwhelming response is to reraise on the flop.

Flopped nut flush in 3! pot

I wasn't sure how to play this OOP. I figured I am probably checking a monotone flop a ton (at least in theory). My betting range is probably something like flushes, sets, and the Ac. Wasn't sure about sizing or how often I should be trapping.

How to evaluate a down swing

I'm playing 5NL and feel like I am doing well, not crushing but I certainly feel more competent then the player pool. I'm on a 10 BI down swing over the last couple thousand hands which sadly has brought my overall win rate down to -4 bb/100. I'm starting to question whether I am actually playing we

Using the 50NL ranges BTN vs. SB it looks like A9s is 50/50 raise/call.

I considered folding pre because I really don't see many 4 bet bluffs at these stakes. As played I just don't know if I can fold given the odds.

TPTK vs. large river bet

V is 22 / 15 / 6 over 2k hands. Despite the reasonable stats I have them tagged as a rec with a note that they shoved 250bb over a 2.5bb open with AKs.

The small turn bet seems odd to me, like maybe V has a worse K.

Using Math to Build Preflop Ranges

Hey all, I am looking to learn some of the logic/mathematics that go into building preflop raise ranges.

Lets look at a scenario 6-max, 100bb effective. UTG vs. CO.

UTG opens around 18% of hands for 2.5bb.

CO responds with a linear 3 betting range, raising to 7.5bb, about 9% of the time.

How exactly is

Too nitty for 5nl?

V is 23 / 17 / 4 over 73 hands.

I think the low 3bet percentage convinced me to fold but maybe with just 73 hands I shouldn't make this assumption.

V is 32 / 22/ 8 over 2k hands.

Couple of questions.

With 2k hands against this V what are some other stats I should look at while in this hand?

Is this hand good enough to raise for value on the flop since I will have a ton of bluffs on this board.

River value range BTN vs BB

I realize this will be a vague question but curious how wide our value range should be on the BTN after villain calls our flop c bet and checks turn checks river.

I know there are millions of board combos so let’s assume there is no flush and no paired board. Also let’s say I range bet flop.

So maybe

Using PT4 for stat analysis

Hi all,

Looking for advice on how to do a monthly stat review using PT4. I feel like I am just adding random filters and looking at the results.

What should my approach be to a 30k hand stat review? How do you identify potential leaks?
