People at casino asking you for cash for Cash app, Venmo, Zelle, etc…

At the casinos I play at, recs and regs frequently ask each other for cash and they transfer over funds on Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Zelle in exchange. Sometimes a huge whale will be the one asking for cash after busting many times and regs are always happy to give them more cash to keep them in the game.

Surprisingly I haven’t heard of anyone getting stiffed.

Anyone have stories and experiences of getting stiffed? On which pl

Stand up game in casino settings across USA - where is it allowed?

I see this a lot in stream games lately. Definitely great for the game and induces lots of spazzy action. I know most casinos I’ve played in have a stupid gaming commission rule (middle finger) saying you can’t side bet or pass chips at a poker table. I like how on HCL the dealer gives the players button(s) to keep track of who won/(should be sitting) and seems like they kind of also enforce that the loser must pay. I’ve played some 2-7

“I folded the naked ace and top two”

Hi all,

Playing plo, the flop and turn have been dealt and there is a $100 bet from a bad reg and a raise all in by a first timer noob rec to $295, on J742ccc, and while the bettor tanks a pro reg sitting to the bettor’s immediate right whispers to her bf also pro playing “I folded the naked A and top two,” loud enough for everyone on that side of the table to hear it, including the reg facing the all in bet.

Best location in the US for 5/10 - 25/50?

Hey folks. Haven't posted in awhile, but looking for some info.

I'm ready to move up in stakes and my local casino only runs a 5/10 or bigger game once or twice a week.

I've been destroying the 2/5 $1k max they run daily for roughly 17bb/hr for like 3 years now, I play in the bigger games when they run but I feel like I could be making way, way more money by finding bigger games more consistently. I'm recently single, which means I have the o

Was I playing bad?

Hey y'all,

I've started playing poker again after a ~4 year break, live casino (in the UK), trying to build a bankroll grinding 1/1, 1/2 tables.

Last night I was sat at a 1/1 table with what I believed to be a relatively weak field - mainly rec calling stations who are entering far too wide into pre flop raises (with hands like K7os, J4os). There was however one LAG directly to my left who was constantly raising 20, 35 preflop. He had won se

Dealer: “nice hand, good bet” to player mid-hand

Hi all,

The title says it all. Five way action in 3! pot and first to act bets on the turn into the field. Dealer immediately says (before anyone has acted after him) “good bet,” “nice hand” and taps the table.

What should happen?

Thanks,
DT

Crazy question player posed to a dealer mid hand

At the local 1/3 game Saturday this exchange happened.

The board ran out J5533.

Player A jams the river. Player B is one of the worst players in the room. If she calls it would be over $500 pot.

Player B says - "dealer, i have a question for you. If we both have a jack, does the 2nd card count?" - i'm not kidding.

Dealer says -

A) I'm not allowed to talk about the hand.

B) I'm sorry, I can't provide that kind of information

C) yes

Need advice on suspicious activity in a live tournament.

Hello, I've seen suspicious patterns at my local casinos and wanted some advices how to act, i'm not gonna give any names or places other than it happened in Spain. I don't want any problems with mafia or with slandering. I just want advices on how to protect myself and/or making them get caught.

I got this suspicions because the same patterns happened before in France and the guy got caught, after the corsican mafia scandal when one croupie

What is the take generally speaking at cash games in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi?

Commerce Casino still running 10/20 PLO?

Was thinking about taking a trip there but Bravo doesn't show the game running. I called the poker room and they said it no longer runs every day, which seems odd. I was there about 5 months ago and it was an every day game.

Is the NAPT dead again?

Ever since the Las Vegas NAPT, I've been sniffing around the internet to see when a 2024 schedule would be announced for Pokerstars' revived North American Poker Tour.

Up until now, I've only seen references to the recent Las Vegas series. Including on the NAPT page at the Pokerstars Live website.

Now, however, there is no NAPT page anymore.

This means one of two things.

1. That Pokerstars couldn't get any tour stops put together, and the tour

4 card flop?

Pre flop action is completed and the dealer goes to put out the flop. Dealer burns one card then counts off 4 cards and put out the flop. Dealer claims that the cards stuck together but everyone at the table saw her peal off 4 cards individually. Floor is called and again the dealer claims the cards stuck together. No one at the table corrects the dealer, we all just wait for the ruling. Floor decides to turn all 4 cards over, mix them

Re-Raising An Incomplete All-In Bet, What's the Rule?

I apologize if there is a more appropriate section for this question/scenario.

The scene:
Home game, 1/2 NLH.
Button straddles $5.
3 callers, around to button who raises to $25.
SB has $27 left and goes all-in with it.
EP Folds.
Question now is for the MP player who called the $5 straddle initially.
Now that the pot has been raised by the button, and incompletely re-raised by the SB, it's understood that the button couldn't re-raise.

Transgender - effect on table image?

I have a kinda odd question, that I signed up just to ask.

How do you think players view a non passing transgender woman at the table? I usually play in a chill and friendly home game, but would like to play at the casino. Obviously I'll get ****, that's just life, but do you think I'll get extra action? I don't expect people to softplay me like they do with cis women, but maybe they'll tilt more when I beat them? Anyone have any experience

Current Las Vegas Poker Room promotions for hours played?

Hi all, I am finally going to be In Las Vegas for a full month (starting March 12th ) vs. along weekend or week and have the chance to take advantage of some poker promotions that I see advertised occassionally. I think last year, the Orleans had something to the tune of $400 for 40 hours and then up to 600 for 75 hours in 1 week (less if you played graveyard shift or $2-3 NLH).. I also recall monthly or weekly freeroll tourneys if you pla

Increased rake

I haven't seen this discussed here, but maybe I am reading the wrong forums.

Anyway, Horseshoe Las Vegas has recently increased their rake to $6+$2. I have heard the MGM Las Vegas has done the same. The Horseshoe management has led me to believe that this is also happening at Caesars Las Vegas.

This is a 20% rise in rake. It moves Vegas much closer to California and Europe if this becomes the norm.

Understandable, but disappointing non-the-l

Maniac to your left better than on the right?

So I know conventional wisdom is you want an aggressive player to your right so you can act after them, however hear me out, does it make sense for them to be on your left.

Although this is a home game it does apply to the casino. We play all omaha games and play them as no limit. Big O, Double Board High Omaha and single board high omaha.

Our stakes are 1-2 and this player makes it $40 quite regularly preflop. He was on my direct right

Dealers who expose cards

My home casino has 2 dealers that "hole card" or unintentionally expose cards by accident

Both of them tilt the deck 30 to 45 degrees and are right handed dealers

I was laying back slouching in my chair ( Seat 3 ) one day, there is a new dealer, and all of a sudden i am getting shown every card as long as i remain slightly slouched low

I see every single card that comes out... now they are moving fast so i cannot distinguish jack of spades ver

2/5 games running consistently closest to the Kansas City area?

I will be moving to the KC area for a new job soon and playing poker on the side.

How often are Hollywood KC and Harrah's spreading 2/5?

Unless the local games run Friday night, and most of Saturday & Sunday (and hopefully some weeknights) ... seems like my options to put in volume are going to be really limited.

Are there other casinos within a 6 hour drive that consistently spread 2/5 or higher? I was also thinking of getting an unlimited
