Changing Limits and Buy-ins

Red Rock just upped its max BI to $500, and changed the blinds to 1-3 in their base no limit game. And perhaps ended the spread of 3-6, now seeing only 4-8. South Point also ended the spread of 3-6, making 4-8 their lowest offer for limit poker. There appeared to be no bad impact at SP last Saturday, as the room was sold out at 330pm (granted it was a NASCAR weekend).
I'm thinking the only 3-6 left in town now is Golden Nugget and Orleans. I'm good with that, as its not my game. But any thoughts as to impacts, growth of game, new customers....?

Good for the Red Rock! Haven't seen 1-3 NL in a while but it is welcome out here in the burbs...

3-6 spread limit replaced 2-4 limit a while back. Good riddance to 2-4 limit. 4-8 limit out here has always drawn a squad of loose max-raise degenerates. so no loss there other than some of the OMCs will have to ante-up if they want to continue to play limit at the Red Rock.

OMC games are OMC...

FWIW, those two rooms you mentioned will spread whatever game you request... just don't expect other players to join in all the time.

SP only occasionally can get a 5/10 going and for the most part is the standard 3-5 $1500

Horseshoe offers 4/8 limit holdem with a blinds of $1 and $2. Decided to make the trip to Red Rock as they previously had a $4/$8 game and to my surprise, the blinds were the same as Horseshoe with $1 small and $2 bb.

Gone are the days of a true $4/8 game :(

RR also changed the 2/5 $1k cap to 3/5 $1500 cap

Doesn't Orleans still have a 4/8 game with 2 and 4 blinds?
