Is 10% rake beatable

In a local casino, they offered 2/5 NLH with a 10% rake up to 200. There is no flop, no drop, and the maximum buy-in is 500. Is this game beatable even if the players are bad?

No. No cap means you need a 10% average advantage on every hand. This is not possible in an real world scenario I don't think.

no.

No , unless you got some guy jamming blind pre every hand, even then its pretty close.

Just FYI the cap matters more than the %

Did OP mean a maximum rake of $20 (not $200)?

The maximum cap is 20 dollars. Meaning that is the pot is 1000, they only take $20 dollars in rake.

"only"

I hope it’s going to a good cause at least…

It depends, like most things in poker. I'd be more concerned about the sustainability of the game. A high rake will wipe out the marginal players that could sustain the small losses over time or make a little. Those are the ones that will keep those games going. Failing that, the game would need a high level of new players to games alive.
