Two unconventional line checks

Two unconventional line checks

2-5 at Caesars

Villain- just sat down with 2 purples. Like 50-60s well groomed Floor greeted him so prob a high roller type.

ES 500

Villain UTG opens 15
Folds to hero
Hero BB A A raise to 45
Villain flats

QQ7 2diamonds

Hero checks
Villain bets 55
Hero calls

Turn 5diamond
Hero check
Villain bets 155
Hero calls

River 2offsuit
Hero check calls a shove

This seems like the best line to induce/pot control OOP in a WB/WA situation. My thoughts were since I had the Ad the chances of a flush were fairly rare for a normal raise UTG/call range. If he had a Q he would check behind the turn or river normally so this is a situation wieghted towards bluffs. Thoughts and suggestions where you would lead/fold/cr if you would are appreciated.

Hand 2

Villain-raising an cbeting almost every hand. Hyper aggressive deep stacked.

Es-1100ish

A limp UTG
Villain raises 25 in MP
Hero in CO KdQc flats
2 more callers.

Flop JdTs6d

Checks to villain
Villain bets 50
Hero raises to 150
Folds to villain who flats

Turn 3h
Villain checks
Hero bets 200
Villain calls

River Qh
Villain leads out 600
Hero calls

This was a fairly unconventional line for me but seemed to be best vs the villain as he was forced to have wide ranges pre and OTF. When he c/ced the turn I figured he had to have a draw or maybe an overpaid pot controlling. When he led out on the river it polarized his range to QQ/AdKd/Kd9d/9d8d and I had blockers on all except 2 combos which bets that big for value and bluffs. 98os and QJ made sense but I was playing fairly tight so I put him on a bigger draw... Seemed like a bluff a high % of the time so I called the river. Thoughts/opinions on if I overplayed my hand appreciated. I can explain the my thoughts for the raise OTF later if you guys think that's bad.

what did he have?

Ever consider a x/r otf in hand 1?

Hand 1: Preflop is small. I don’t have a check range OTF, but if you do then obviously you should be capable of showing up with some AA.

River’s close. Call is fine against high roller type.

Hand 2: I’d rather 3! pre in the CO. As played I’m fairly confident flop is a flat. Turn bet is fine in a vacuum, obviously, but I’m a little worried what your range looks like and if villain isn’t accidentally exploiting you.

River is close. Based on his behavior in past hands, the unorthodox line, the simultaneity of this river blanking some draws and bringing in a “scare card”, and my concerns about your turn range, I’d say you made the right call.
