AA in WSOP $5K Seniors High Roller

AA in WSOP $5K Seniors High Roller

300/500 blinds. Stack is around $40K from $50K starting stack.

Make it $1,100 in late position with AA.

Button makes it $3,500. He slightly covers ($43K). Guy has played fairly solid.

I make it $7,400. Should I have raised larger?

He calls.

Flop 986 rainbow.

I bet $5K. He thinks and makes it $15K. My stack is approx $27K. What do you do?

All in. This is a basically a fist pump shove spot. Get it in now vs TT-KK rather than risk action killing cards on this connected board.

Edit* 4-bet sizing is fine. I wouldn’t mind going slightly bigger with a clean number like $8k.

80BB deep I definitely go bigger, more like 2.5x if not slightly more.

For one thing, you need to make the SPR low enough that you're comfortable stacking off on basically any flop.

I just get it in here-- if he 3-bet 99/88/66 and called a 4-bet, good on him, I guess.

Agree with others - I'd go 8,500 or even 9K. Beat him into the pot with your AI.

I shipped and he called with 88. Didn't see any scenario where I didn't go broke in the hand

These min clicks just suck vs whales in deep poker. 4b to like 12.5 imho, make him rip or fold. Prefer rip obv.

That’s 12,500 btw.
