standard line here?

standard line here?

I hate these spots. i always try to find hero calls here lol
villain is very competent reg, at the top LB for rake race, capable of bluffing but i dont think this is the spot.
i can have alot of other hands that take this line to hero with like : QQ,JJ,ATs for example.
thoughts?

also how do i post it in [MID] section? i tried to edit but cant edit title and i cant delete post either to repost.

Call.

It's even more of a call since you 3bet smaller preflop.

If he has Tx/JJ then you need to start xring thinner for value in this spot.

Hero call seems optimistic.

B50 is the most overbluffed sizing OTR.

Most regs don't value bet as thin as a solver and also over 4bet QQ/JJ preflop. Tx is more likely to X back than bet river so you would rather have 88 than ATs/QQ/JJ since now you unblock more bluffs.

Also look at C30-B frequencies as 3BP IP PFC. They over stab which makes their C-X-B line weak.

Interested in results since his hand will tell you a lot about how he plays.

There are two different straights, and flush, a bunch of 2 pair, occasional sets, and a ton of better 1 pair hands that can either bet for value or get turned into a bluff. I would guess that some 9x and Tx are supposed to get bluffed too, which you don't beat. Super hard to have air here.

They checked turn so I'd discount most of the 2p+ besides flushes

Looking at a sim I was very confused why 88 isn't better than JJ/QQ. What's happening is some 9x should value bluff so that OOP can't just call based on blockers. I don't expect to see that especially for half pot

checking turn with 2p or even sets seems reasonable to me, considering there's a double FD and two straights, plus the SB is still uncapped. I haven't looked at any kind of sim though.

im pulling up my sim in monker right now to see what it says.

In game i folded so we will never know what villain held. his stats are std though, 23/19, 10% 3B, wwsf:46%, wtsd:23.7%, W$SD: 38.9% over a 700 hand sample.
