Thought it would be a good time to post a little update!

Have been really focusing on playing short sessions (no more than 2 hours) and table selecting hard. With the current PLO environment online (high rake, potential for cheating) when I do pay I really wanna give myself the best chance of achieving a high winrate. For this reason I also only play 3 tables max at one time. This might seem low to most, and is definitely reflected in my volume for the year so far, but from talking to much better players than myself, it is clear that to reach the high stakes you must be focusing on every single decision each session, and this is near impossible by 6+ tabling on GG and relying on rakeback.

The year so far:

Currently playing a mix of 6max and HU. In my opinion becoming proficient in HU is a postlflop cheat code for all other table formations. It can get stressful, I have to actively work on my mental game regularly to play my best HU as I have a tendency to take beats a lot worse vs. one opponent in a HU match, than any other opponent in a 6max game. I think there's probably some element of being 'embarrassed' by losing to someone in the zero-sum game of HU that doesn't affect me nearly as badly as in 6max. But this is a great mental challenge for myself and the winrates achievable in HU are definitely worth the extra mental stress.

My HU sample so far:

I am continuing to shot up to PLO600 and hope to make this my minimum stake by the end of the year. Running good in your low stakes tables and bad in your higher stakes tables makes this a little difficult but eventually it will turn around and I can break through permanently. I definitely feel like I am comfortably beating these games, and I am not choosing higher stakes tables with tougher line ups, although I am sure a time will come where I will wanna do this to challenge my skills. For now, bum hunter life it is.

Full sample so far:

Currently looking for players to add to a small 5card stable we have started. If anyone is interested in joining you can send me a message here or ideally on Discord @leefaeblue. Qualifications are not strict but desired:

1. Reasonable sample of hands in any PLO variant. Don't need to be winning, although this is preferred, but just showing that you are not absolutely getting destroyed.

2. Speak English or Russian.

3. Have time to commit to playing decent volume (15k hands+ per moth).

4. Most importantly, a desire to improve quickly and a good work ethic.

Cheers!
