Rec-Bumhunter trying to go pro

Greetings to everyone and thank you in advance for your time.

I used to play poker as a rec, mostly tourneys in private clubs whenever I had time .3 years (!) later I fell in love with the game and cash games specifically. I used to work many hours per day so my volume was pretty low.I was making some money playing 100-200nl avg on private clubs and apps.I thought that there is some potential and joined a regulated site to play.I got crushed really fast. The reason was not that I was so bad as a player(still fish though),but I couldnt control my tilt. I stopped playing and I started reading about the game .I memorised wizzards preflop strategies with small custom simplifications in frequencies, learned some general MDA lines and studied some theory grids in various spots. It has been almost 1 year since I decided to take the game seriously. I reduced my working time to be able to play more poker and keep a balanced (!) life. If I am able to make constant winnings by the end of the summer I will probably go full time.

So I chose GG poker to be the place where I will give my shot.I went straight to 50-100nl rnc and got SWALLOWED by the nitfest and better regs. I used to play in pools full of aggro fish and aggro regs,so my calling button was always hot,a really but habit for this pool. I reviewed my hands and understood that I have to adjust a lot my preflop ranges and general playstyle to a even more aggresive style -overfold friendly.
I dropped stakes and started over from nl 25 rnc. My plan is to play up to 50k hands in each limit and move up if I win.
My study routine for now will be mainly ip srp btn bb.Then hj vs bb .

After 21k hands I was able to beat25NL.I know that the sample is really small but I was feeling really comfortable there and decided to move up to NL50 rnc.

So,atm ://////Stakes :NL50,/////Studying: ip srp early pos. ////Tilt issues :still tilting af

I hope for some advices-guidance from more experienced players.

I will post here my process .

played some 100nl regtables
the graph is below haha
experienced some ugly variance besides running bad, really brutal

rnc100 todays ses, not many interesting hands
The past month I have played some hands on gg reg tables (not much table selection),experienced some disgusting variance , I am running like -8bb/100 there in 10k hands lol

rnc100 today, punted at least 100bb
at 38k hands so far everything is going smoothly

how many zoom tables do you normally play?

how many zoom tables do you normally play?

I normally play 2 tables, 3 if I feel really good. I do pause the tables a lot though in order to focus when it is needed,eg playing vs opponent I have history and notes that I have to read ,to make notes , tough spots

Alright. So those are my first 43k hands on rnc100(Although I think some hands are not imported correctly). Running decent I guess looking at my all in ev ( I dont use to run like that :P). The sample is small but I think that I can beat this pool ,at least with 1 bb /100. Meanwhile ,on 100 regtables in 10k hands i am running with -9 bb /100 . Dunno if it is variance or me punting but it sucks . I wont play 100reg though ,I will stick to 100 rnc and throw some 200 regs with table selection. At the same time I am playing up to 400NL on apps.

I have plans for Q4 2024 and 2025 . I plan to put more than 40 hours weekly on poker. I will try to make a study-grinding plan and I am going to upload it here . Some feedback would be deeply appreciated. After playing some hands I will try to join a cfp. Not that I am not willing to pay a coach, but it would be really cool to have some guys to discuss about the game on daily basis. My friends do not play cards .

Today + some hands..Any thoughts ?

This is a pretty interesting spot I went over not too long ago to see how I was doing when I bet/called TT/JJ/QQ on boards like that in 3b pots. I wasn't doing too well, also noticed I almost never got it in as an overwhelming favorite.

Hi bro ,do you mean that you went over this specific spot ?On a cash drop ?

I have been playing a lot on apps lately ,so not much volume for rnc , still played 500 hands for cooldown

First session of September. Life issues wont let me play as much as I want to..

In the following hand my opponent snapped called every street. I see people snapping while they are in very marginal spots all the time. I have seen a lot of players blocking way thinner than me on this runout, with their sets, and I dont remember a single time that I have called a block on such a runout and see a bluff on rnc 100nl. That being said , I think that a snap fold would be way more reasonable than a snap call .

vol 2 mini session

.mini session vol 3

2 hands from this session

hand number 1 : I think villain played perfect his hand, I think I would miss this bluff on the river, thinking that I beat a lot of Ax FDs

hand number 2 : Micro leveling punt war, I havent posted such punts since I usually dont go out of line, action from my part was based on notes ( super aggro, floater etch)

Yeti theorum still alive?

theorum?I am the living proof

vol4 ,punty session

I have no clue about this hand. He is supposed to bet range on the turn . I thought that he was pretty capped . I dont think that many players would X call with a flush draw enough ott when a K comes. At least from my experience at this pool. Still ,maybe too greedy.

first part of todays session,I am gonna take some food ,hit the gym and come back later for another 2-3k hands

As it seems I am running good
Balancing a bit with my bad run on 50 rnc :P

Probably the worst session I had since July. Half of the hands were played while being tilted. I am really disappointed from my performance today, I could save a lot of money in many hands

Hand 99 : I cannot explain how fast he snap called, I instantly hated myself for bluffing

more hands

wanted to 125% flop- turn

tilt machine hits once again
sometimes from the very first hands you feel like this session will suck ,but you keep playing, and guess what

Broke AA with KK 2 times ,all in pre

thought process for the following punt :

vs flop cbet : mandatory call. Vs this bet I am floating very wide with almost every bdfd +bdsd
vs turn cbet : here things change a bit ,while in theory I should have called often , I think versus a 100NL reg I should fold .
vs river cbet : here is the spot where the punt comes .. first of all I didnt think that I have any sdv ,even for those pot odds .On the other side , I thought that blocking FH and nut flush were premium properties to turn my hand into a bluff ( I am not a psycho who jams vs blockbets all the time ,I jam vs every size ) . The problem is that the pot odds were way too good, so I cant blame him for calling ( Personally I would fold vs unknown- tight player ).

The interesting part : right after he called ,he typed in the chat 'You cant jam there'. A few hands later that I met him again ,I replied ' why I cant jam ' ?
He replied ' you have no flushes besides 65cc'

I realized that I am a blind man playing cards and promised to myself that I will never bluff again when I am facing aggression(at least if there is not a clear shift on nut advantage)

In the past I was playing like a maniac, trying to win every hand . Actually, you can do that on rnc. There is no point in staying balanced vs unknowns in a pool where none is able to track your stats. And this pool is huge.
You can either overbluff on every node, or underbluff (loosing a ton of value) on every node
