ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:

a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?

b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

dont count yourself out of the fight

I would call those fighting words but you obviously can't comprehend the terminology.

Good pitch. I'll put you down as a contender. Go wild.

If BLM is right and police actually targets unarmed non violent blacks for point blank assassinations (hint: it absolutely doesn't) much more often than others, then violent rioting against police buildings and cars would have been justified.

That's why BLM leadership and all politicians who supported it are each individually legally responsible for all the damage caused by those riots, and the deaths.

See how it works?

Imho it's insane to con

I've never heard anyone even allege that. I can't swear it has never happened, but it certainly has not been claimed by many politicians.

New ballot fraud study concludes that Trump almost certainly did win the 2020 election.

That's awesome. They polled their readers to ask them if they committed fraud. They said yes of course we did. They then used this as evidence that there was fraud and used the percentages of respondents as representative of everyone in their calculations.

And you took it so seriously you posted it here with a straight face.

mj

And then they somehow assumed that their conservative readership cheated to help Biden?

by Gorgonian P

So, no, then. You cannot produce a direct quote, nor the tape. Got it, thanks.

And no, then. You cannot produce the US Code and concrete evidence of that US Code being specifically broken, like we can with Trump.

Got it again, thanks.

Special Counsel's report are you denying what the special counsel said in his report ?

Biden won the election by the way

No. I have no idea what the tape says. Which is why I didn't make any claims about it.

I asked you if you could provide a direct quote for what was said. You cannot.

I asked if you could provide the US code that Biden violated with evidence showing that he did. You could not.

You stated that Biden and Trump's cases were equivalent. You cannot do those things for Biden, but we can for Trump.

I'm simply saying that no, the two cases are not equivalent.

Got it?

Even if it were true that the CJ system treated blacks and whites equally, BLM would still have a pretty valid argument.

The US is the only rich country where the underclass is mostly a particular race that was formerly enslaved.

It also has the world's highest incarceration rate by far, the weakest social safety net of any rich country and the most violent police of any rich country (I think).

Perhaps there is an outside chance that these things are related.

A far cry from completely fictional claims about stolen elections.

I have done some serious work on criminal justice reform. First off, the cjs is incredibly biased against black people.
I would like to point out that Americas incarceration rate peaked 10 years ago, when it was indeed the highest in the world. Americas Incarceration rate, while still 5 times higher than any western european country has dipped due to reform and now has the third highest incarceration rate.

However, the incarceration rate of individual southern states like louisiana and mississippi is still higher than any country and in all 50 states the incarceration rate for black people is higher than for whites or any other ethnic group.

I don't think Biden won because of mail ballot voter fraud at all.

Okay.

by Luciom P

But can we all agree that you should have a voter ID (free of charge ofc) and only vote in person? Militaries and similar situation should have special booths set up for them. Same for people in hospitals, mobile booth.

Mobile booth? You mean like put a porta potty on wheels and people can go in, have a seat, maybe drop a deuce, and vote?

A traveling booth is silly. What you're asking for is at least two people to go person to person and have people vote.

Like, people are screaming fraud with cameras filming every ****ing second of a polling station, and you think people are not going to cry fraud when a red and blue worker goes person to person to collect pencil drawn votes? Have you gone mad?

by Luciom P

But elections are core functions of democracy so it's ok to spend more to guarantee the process.

Ah, so Biden didn't win because of voter fraud at all, but you know, just in case...

by Luciom P

It's also beyond absurd that we don't know the completely full perfect count in 12-24 hours, like normal countries do.

Each state has a legal process to follow. For example, that crazy dingbat Karen Lake was in a state where early ballots are not counted until election day, and then those are the first ballots to be counted, which is why she got slogged 80/20 out of the gate and was crying foul a few hours later.

Also, no one was whining about election counting taking weeks for 100% to be counted before 2016.

by Luciom P

And of course, strictly and only paper and pencil voting.

Oh, yeah, nothing can be tampered with good old fashioned pencil and paper ballots, especially when dragging a porta potty from hospital room to hospital room. I'm sure that will help get ballots counted within 24 hours when it takes 6 months to collect all the old, infirm, and deployed military votes, too.

Final thought about mail-in ballots. Trump, the man who claims mail-in voting is rife with fraud, votes by mail himself.

That is exhibit A that he doesn't believe mail-in voting is susceptible to widescale fraud.

Exhibit B is that he said FL is the only place where voting by mail is secure enough to do. Then when he heard that Qtips in AZ that can't vote in person were just going to not vote at all rather than be cheated, he rescinded his claim and stated that AZ was also very secure for mail-in ballots and encouraged his elderly base to vote by mail.

One could also argue that if Trump 100% believed that he got cheated, he wouldn't be running again just to lose, but dude loves being the center of attention even if it's the worst kind of attention so who knows.

In most other first world countries the underclass are immigrants (exceptions are south Korea and Japan that have basically no immigration).

Dunno why you think the social safety net is non existent in the USA, just for Medicaid they spend more than most countries spend for all public healthcare as a % of GDP.

Land O Lakes, were you around for when wreckem started postulating his hypothetical scenarios for voter fraud? That was a hoot. One of them included a hypothetical cyber criminal called "Jake" who uses his l33t hacking skills to steal identitities in order to... wait for it... send in mail-in ballots using their details.

Prescription medications cost on average 2.5x - 3x in the US as they do in other countries (for the same drug), so it's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

how easy is it to hack mail in ballots?
I get you a pair of POTUS 45 if you answer that correctly.
I know you cant effort them... but you as an established fraudulent crook, how easy is it?

by Rococo P

There is also a huge problem with asking people whether they are Republicans or Democrats, asking them about their behavior w/r/t mail-in voting, and then stating that you assume behavior was the same among Democrats and Republicans. Is that what the results of your survey actually showed? I ask this question in part because I think MAGA types would be sorely tempted to report dubious mail-in voting behavior, especially by others, because

We surveyed a bunch of posters in the internet poker riggie thread and asked them whether they would rig online poker if they could. They said they would, from which we have concluded that online poker is indeed rigged.

Even Hillary said her election was stolen and rigged, u hypocrites.
with Hunter... that was not rigged?

I'm not sure exactly what you meant to ask, but I'll answer the question as posed.

You would need to intercept the envelope containing the ballot at some point in transit, use steam to open the envelope without ripping it, substitute the contents of the envelope for your forged ballot, destroy the original, then re-seal and re-send the envelope. You would then need to repeat this process for every mail in ballot you wanted to "hack".

see? thats how easy it is. and youre like " no it cant be done!"
you can also find a bunch of names from the internet and just send out
phony letters. you could do a bunch of things. all you need is a freaking printer and a bunch of idiots who know what they are doing.
