We don't agree often, but I think this is spot on.
It will be interesting to see how good a job Kamala's campaign team does. Her campaign team's execution was very poor when she ran for the nomination in 2020.
There has been a lot of volatility in campaign execution on the Democratic side in recent elections. Biden's team did a great job in 2020. They urged him to fight back against Trump, but not too much. And they focused very effectively on a simple message ("Just go vote and the chaos will subside and everything will be fine.").
Hillary, on the other hand, made some surprising errors down the stretch of her campaign that cost her dearly.
I didn't say that. I am merely telling you what qualified medical professionals have said about the two. Neither you nor I are qualified to judge, so deferring to experts is the correct move here.
That's insane, and yes I'm easily that confident. I stopped gambling years ago, though.
Dems have always been the party of young people going on IG or whatever saying ‘make me care about you when you don’t care about (insert cause d’ejour)’
Enough Dems voted for a dead gorilla just for the lulz just so they could brag about not voting for hilldawg that trump won
We were on that path until yesterday. Wouldn’t have mattered if biden were still coherent enough or if there was an open primary and we got, idk, Newsom or Whitmer. There was an actual fear that we sleepwalked into a 2nd trump term that ended up with the Dems in a UK ‘I don’t care who labour puts up, **** the tories’ which til yesterday I didn’t believe was going to happen
Good strategy ? to allow the Red Team convention rant about Old Man Blue guy.... only to have Blue guy walk just a few days later?
Is Old Blue Guy alive? No proof of life for a few days.
Cognitive dissonance.
He's undergoing a medical procedure and will be back in a few days. I believe the technical term for it is "reanimation".
Trump's actual betting odds of winning are about as good, if not even better than Biden's were in 2020.
It's gonna take more than just the campaign. She's a weak candidate relatively speaking.
If we were to go back the last few decades, and got to pick any democrat candidate that ran in the national election, she'd be at the very bottom of the list.
The entire democrat washington DC power brokers surely thought so.
They skewered a roman spear through him.
I think if the election were today, and i had to pick, i think kamala might be a slight fav to win. But i also think Kamala's appeal that she has right now is going to take a hit to some degree.
Biden was strong in 2020, but he still barely won Mi, WS, and PS with a legitamate boost from mail in votes and new voters.
I would suspect there is very little overlap of the personnel between then and now.
He's my boy!! I heard he might have had a heart attack wrestling in KY.
It will be interesting to see through what mechanisms GOP will sue to force biden to be on the ballot since it definitely seems like that’s what the groundwork is being laid for
Ordinarily I would say lol glhf but today’s judiciary can’t be overstated in their hilarity
I agree.
i dont think kamala can win unless trump has a stroke or something. she's going to pile up votes in deep blue states and get absolutely smashed in places like pa and fla
Have Trumpers started laying the seeds for 'we lost because Dems cheated by bait and switch' yet?
I'm really not seeing much success - economy - inflation has been rampant for awhile now?
border - lost control of the border with record number of illegals crossing and only in the last couple of months signed an EO to try to stop it
foreign policy - botched withdrawal of Afghan troops, oversaw the start of the Ukraine war nearly what 2 and a half years ago and no signs of an end, Gaza conflict and not enough to settle that.
What exactly has he accomplished?
More likely Parkinson's
anyone have any reason to state about why the current VP is a poor or weak candidate?
It is money pledged more about that donors are happy that he stepped down than confidence in Kamala to win.
They're happy he stepped down because Kamala has a greater chance of winning. No one is giving money to a candidate they don't think can win just to spite the previous candidate who couldn't win.
