US Immigration Crisis

US Immigration Crisis

I didn’t see an immigration thread so I figured I would add one. This problem seems to be worsening everyday of the current admin. Hopefully some of our new elected officials can help with this. Mr. Luttrell is a great start

That's not what he said.

That's the corollary of one party pushing for citizenship for illegals (IE for people who criminally entered the country or overstayed their allowed time disregarding the democratic rules of the country) and the other withholding it.

The alternative to citizenship path is to kick them away for good, otherwise when Dems win they give them the vote and who are people who got the vote from the democrats gonna vote, while the others refused to do the same, i wonder.

You know that's about it.

There could be some sane way to give a path to the good ones and kick out the bad ones but you would still be rewarding crime which in general is something you should never do even if it makes sense on paper in the present.

And among the criminals you are rewarding there are those who get paid to help you enter illegally.

Why? Because you don't want to incentivate future crime by others obviously.

We tried with Reagan amnesty in the past. It was supposed to be a once in the country history thing then ultra strict border controls and draconian treatment of criminally entered illegals.

It didn't go that way, never again

But that's still not what he said, and there are other explanations. Do you not believe that some could want a path to citizenship for moral, not political reasons?

yeah, it's much worse what i want, at least in his opinion.. i dont just want them to be able to vote on the obvious issues that effect them like every other person living here. i want them to receive all the other benefits of being a citizen including social safety nets and such too. it's not my job to convince them to vote for republicans. that's republicans job to be less overtly racist.

I believe that every time a policy proposal is conducive to a clear political gain for the people proposing it, because of Occam razor that is the actual reason for the proposal.

And no I don't believe in fairly tales in politics in general

Yes it's only random that you want to expand the franchise to people with a profile that fits your party voters much more than the other party voter.

A party more favourable to welfare to the poors will want to give the vote to foreign poors, how moral of them to increase the number of wardens of the state that will forever vote for their government paycheck and keep the people writing the checks in power.

In general people propose stuff that helps them yes (to be more exact: that they think helps them), one way or another

party more favorable to people gets more votes than the party of bigots. news at 11.

Party more favourable to VOTERS get more votes.

And as I said and gangsta for some reason denied, you want to import voters that agree with you to win elections, because current voters disagree with you.

That's kinda horrific tbh, a violation of the basic concept of democracy.

"You don't want the way I want so I will dilute your vote with people that you share absolutely nothing with until what I want gets voted".

And I will do so rewarding crime, letting them in even if you, the people, the only sovereign in the nation, decided democratically through congress they weren't allowed to enter.

Horrific, distopian.

Immigrants are made up of every race so are you suggesting that repubs being anti illegal immigration is proof that they are racist towards all races?

i do understand that not all immigrants are equal in the republican mind. trump made that pretty clear. i'm sure white people here illegally will definitely be deported in correct proportionate numbers if Trump and co get their project 2025 going, totally believable. keep telling yourself that.

they are usually deported *more* because of bilateral agreements with the countries of origin, obviously.

Same as it's easier to tax white people income in white majority countries , for the IRS.

Bring on all of the immigrants and let them vote as soon as possible!

Agreed. Open the US borders and solve (or at least drastically reduce) the asylum crisis.

After taking an insane L with his previous investigation,
James Comer has decided to go after Kamala Harris and the border.

Let's investigate why the bill was killed!
