SIDES - Inaugural Game Thread
In this thread, we will play a new word game called Sides. It's somewhat similar to codenames, but cooperative and different.

In this game, a target word will be randed as will a row of 7 cards that have letters on them (most 1 letter, some 2/3/4 letters).
2 people will be the guessers and everyone else will be able to give a clue.
The clue given must start with the letter on either the first or last card (the 'sides' of the row).
We discuss as a team who will give the clue with open discussion in the thread such as "I have a 7 letter word starting with a C"
Once there is some agreement on who gives the clue, that person will bold the clue they want to give in the thread.
The two guessers will then discuss in the thread and bold their guess. If it's correct, we move on to the next guessers and the next word. If wrong, then the clue givers post some info like "you are warm" or "you are about 30% there" etc to give directional info on how on track/off track their guess is.
Then they discuss and give another clue. But the person who bolded a clue cannot give another clue for the same word until everyone on the cluing side has clued a word (if we take that long to get the word), so one person can't hog the cluing.
Clues have to be one word, or an acronym, etc like in codenames; they can be hyphenated words
We can also give some info on how the clues relate to each other, or even say a clue is a 0 clue, so the opposite of what cluing for (e.g., clue 'colorful' as an opposite clue because the word is zebra)
I'll provide more details and examples in the thread in the morning, but this should be enough info for you to /in and join so we can play.

I wonder how I can hint to it cause I think you'd like it a good bit. There's an M8 that I think is decent and would probably be my pick if we don't do A7, it's in the same domain. Pretty different domain from the 2 M4s

The cookie idea is m7 is monster so milk monster is Cookie Monster; not sure what a7 cookie would be tho

what all does milk clue for?
drinks: shakes, coffee, tea, etc
food: eggs, honey, cookies, cheese
farm: cow, goat, etc.
body: milk from mother
magnesium: milk of magnesia
shake: malt would be the clue
coffee: a7 would be arabica bean; m9 would be machiatto; the most obvious m5 mocha wasn't mentioned; can't think of an m7 right now
tea: t6 for Tetley woulda been mentioned; also m5 for matcha
eggs: can't think of many words for m/a/t for eggs right now
honey: same as eggs
cookies: m7 would be monster; a7 no clue; they woulda just clued macaraon/macaroon for cookie tho for 1 shot
cheese: muenster woulda been the clue
cow: angus woulda been mentioned; moo woulda been the clue though
goat: same as eggs/honey
milk from mother: mammals or mammaries would be the clues; a7 would be anatomy; t4 for tits woulda been mentioned
magnesium: milk of magnesia; a7 is antacid; but I don't think so
so far, batting .000 for this clue

if it was mammal then they'd go mammary before milk I'd think, as mammary only refers to mammals while milk has lots of connections (see post above)
I'm fine with throwing out a hail mary. I'm afraid I'm drawing a blank as well.
Yeah I’ll look again when I’m home; if nothing comes to mind then will just throw something out there to keep it moving
milkman for delivery stuff, but they woulda clued mail or milkman itself; and a6 for amazon
every word that has to do with milk just doesn't make sense to me yet
there is chocolate milk, but Mars or Musketeers or Milky maybe? I can't think of an a7 for chocolate tho

milk just hits sooo many different things that it's strange they clued that one first instead of second; makes me think we're missing something obvious
What if a7 is apricot and milk is for coconut?

rice
other options are dairy and ice cream
mint would be another m4 for ice cream
I woulda mentioned t7 for Talenti, but they may not know that brand
can't think of an a7 for m7 for ice cream tho; a la mode is a7 but isn't one word
for dairy I can't think of many words for m/a/t besides milk/muenster/Activia to get dairy products
I think t4 for tofu gets mentioned for soy
for almond, you have amaretto and macadamias
for rice I'm not sure, but milk isn't the first thought for sure
farm and agriculture are two other options
if farm, then agriculture a11 woulda been the clue
for agriculture, I'm not sure; moo, mulch, acres, t7 for tractor woulda been mentioned

I like the m7, but not sure anybody else knows what it is. I'm sure there are several ways to get it tho.
