2024 WSOP!
The World Series of Poker has wrapped up its newest winter series and is announcing new details for the 2024 summer event in Las Vegas.
“…..Ty Stewart, SVP and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “But it’s time to turn the page and begin the countdown to 2024. Records are made to be broken. We’re busy on improvements to make sure 2024 is both the biggest and best event in poker history. Mark your calendars and bank those vacation days. We’ll see you in Vegas.”
The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2 on July 7 and 8.
The full daily event schedule for the 55th annual WSOP will be announced in early 2024. Fan favorites, including the Mystery Millions, Millionaire Maker, and the Senior’s Championship, will return to the schedule in 2024. …..”

Looking forward to the WSOP. Plan on starting with the $600 PLO the second week of June, then the $800 NL. Then it's down to business, with the Monster, the Seniors if I bust the Monster, then the Millionaire Maker. If that goes belly up, there's always the Super Seniors before going home, and possibly the Seniors high roller if I'm not completely blown out after two weeks.
Re: Milestone satellites would love to know if they are shorter to conclusion than non-milestone satellites. I would think yes, and if that's true, I would expect universal adoption because operators spend less money for the same rake.
Apologies if this isn't the right place for these noob questions:
I'm thinking about playing some WSOP events for the first time and am pretty clueless about how to do so. I've only been to Vegas once.
Where do you go to register for a tournament? On the day of the tournament, how do you get your chips/table/seat?
Where do you recommend staying? Is it cheaper to stay at a different hotel than the Horseshoe and to take an Uber?
The main cage is in a big room in the Paris convention center next to the giant ballroom where most of the tourneys happen.
The cage opens for registration at the start of WSOP, and is open 24 hours. The worst time to register is in the morning of a large field or weekend event. You might be in line for 2 hours.
The lines are much better after dinner, and even better on graveyard hours.
When you register, you’ll get a slip of receipt paper with your name, table number, and seat number. You find your seat, match your ID, and the dealer will give you your chips out of the well.
Where to stay is a complicated question, but the good news is there’s no shortage of hotels, or options. I’m staying almost 3 weeks, so I got an Airbnb, which is much cheaper than a strip hotel with resort fees. I won’t have a car, but I have no trouble getting around with Uber.
The above post is spot on with some of your questions.
As for where to stay, that depends on what your situation is. Are you only playing WSOP events or are you going to other tournaments at other casinos? Are eating options important to you? Are you looking for any old place where you can sleep or do you have higher standards?
If you’re thinking of going cheap and staying close to WSOP, probably Ellis Island is your best bet. It’s cheap and walking distance.
If you’re thinking cheap and might be playing downtown at The Grand Series at Golden Nugget, I would recommend Four Queens as it is cheap and no resort fees. But very old and smells of cigarettes.
If you want pure strip and close to WSOP for cheap, Flamingo is an option.
If only WSOP and you don’t want the stress of any travel, HS isn’t bad and Paris isn’t bad, either. Take an elevator down and you’re basically at the WSOP.
So again, it depends on your situation, your budget, and your standards.
For those planning to drive/Uber into the WSOP, don’t forget to plan ahead for traffic. I assume that area willonce again be a **** show at various times due to F1 and other construction.
F1 is coming back again?
Yes. 10 year contract.
Thank you for taking the time to respond, very helpful!
Thank you!
Additionally you can register via App, but I think they have a new one this year so don’t know how it will work yet.
“…. but I think they have a new one this year so don’t know how it will work..”
that means WSOP will be using different system for online pre-registration other then BravoLive.
May be I missed that announcement from WSOP.
Can someone post some details or link ?
Thx
For more discussion on places to stay in Vegas, check out LVL. The FAQ thread is very useful.
It’s WSOP+ but no word yet if they’ll use it this Summer. They used it at Paradise, though.
Nah. There's been talk of 'Payfiniti' firing up this month but BravoPokerLive is still very much in play. I read that they 'own the Payfiniti wallet' ... whatever that means. BravoPokerLive is still the service to use. They just haven't activated yet for this year's WSOP. Last year they did so on April 13th. This being April 8th, I would expect to see it happen very soon. I don't know how the wsop+ app fits into all of this.
It sure doesn't look like they will. In the schedule release they note that they will again use BravoPokerLive for online/mobile registration. There's no mention of WSOP+ at all.
As per WSOP schedule announcement “ Registration will open in May. WSOP will announce to the public when it is live.“
Anyone read if Ceasars will be running Main event qualifiers across the country at their properties again this year ?
Seniors high roller?
PIG its event #65 on June 26th $5,000 buy in 50,000 starting chips 40/60 minute levels. Its on the same day as the Venetian and Golden Nugget Super Senior events
Yes, it’s a real shame that GN elected to hold its Super Seniors event on the same day as the Venetian. Although they are at somewhat different price points ($400 v $1100), it would’ve been nice to have the option to play both…..
The announcement for the 2024 schedule release said that main even qualifiers would be held at participating poker rooms, without too much detail as to when. Probably need to check each individual casino for details. I know Foxwoods has started running main event satellites this month. The list of participating locations, according to the WSOP release, includes the Horseshoe St. Louis, Grand Victoria Casino Elgin, Harrah’s Cherokee, Horseshoe Tunica, Harrah’s Pompano Beach, Thunder Valley Casino Resort, Turning Stone Resort Casino, Horseshoe Las Vegas, Foxwoods Resort Casino, and Graton Casino and Resort.
Exactly, it put a dent in my personal scheduling that's for sure. I like to play both events when possible. Probably comes down to how many WSOP Senior and Super Sr bullets I fire and results.
Mr. McCoy I have Poker CRYSTAL BOWL. You are awarded Sr. Final Table. !!!
