2024 WSOP!

The World Series of Poker has wrapped up its newest winter series and is announcing new details for the 2024 summer event in Las Vegas.

“…..Ty Stewart, SVP and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. “But it’s time to turn the page and begin the countdown to 2024. Records are made to be broken. We’re busy on improvements to make sure 2024 is both the biggest and best event in poker history. Mark your calendars and bank those vacation days. We’ll see you in Vegas.”

The 2024 WSOP will take place at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas from May 28 to July 17, 2024, with the Main Event running from July 3 to July 17. The Main Event – poker’s undisputed freezeout world championship – will have four starting days, beginning on Wednesday, July 3. Players may also register directly on Day 2 on July 7 and 8.

The full daily event schedule for the 55th annual WSOP will be announced in early 2024. Fan favorites, including the Mystery Millions, Millionaire Maker, and the Senior’s Championship, will return to the schedule in 2024. …..”

Dang I somehow did not know this at all! Thank you for pointing this out. I have a basic level card at my local Caesars property so I have been missing out on platinum. Definitely going to get that upgraded. Also shout out to any of the other vet's on here! Since I don't play that much I never really looked into benefits of platinum. As far as as WSOP what is main benefits?

Just free parking. Platinum doesn't give much

Oh haha I am use to non casino hotel perks where platinum is the highest. I looked it up and saw just one above the minimum. I will still take it though.

How does GR Steak compare to a typical U.S. steak place? Is it cooked differently?

Not to my knowledge. I don’t find anything odd about the food in any of the GR restaurants in Vegas. I also like Hell’s Kitchen quite a lot despite its relatively limited menu.

Okay, thanks. Those Brits like to cook meat weirdly sometimes, so you never know.

....After looking into Payfiniti (they don't even have a MOBILE APP out yet ) and realizing I would have to provide to PAYFINITI my Bank account information and allow them Assess to my Account I balked and tried again with WSOP support. I HATE to provide any unknown app that kind of information and access considering the level of security breaches we have seen from established brokerage firms for example....

When I went to Payfiniti, I baulked for the same reason.

If Bravo Poker were interested in improving its brand image, they would have gone with an established banking partner, instead of what appears to be a start-up with apparently one customer (Bravo).

Maybe someday Payfinity will be legit. But for now, no thanks.

AMEN 🙏

I will just go thru the hassle of a Cashiers Check and carry my non WSOP event cash....even though that has a level of risk both of theft and confiscation by "over zealous" police.

I was in the habit of sending cashiers checks but I believe that Bravo didn't allow that option despite WSOP words to the contrary. I wired money instead. These two options require 'clearing time'. Now I just use a credit card and eat that cost. I'll bring cash for daily deepstacks and such.

I have had some fairly detailed and helpful email communications and I am confident you can do the Cashiers check by going thru

CZRCredit

and

WSOP Faq

You just need to get the cashiers check a week in advance send Credit a COPY and they will clear it. IF everything is good you will have immediate access to your funds thru your TBIC account.

I probably knew this at one time, but I've since forgot - does Caesars Diamond move to the top of the list in the WSOP cash games?

It did for me last year. Went to the desk to put my name down for a seat. The lady saw my players card and said “Oh, you’re diamond. You don’t have to wait. Go to table ____.”

Thanks. I haven't played the cash games for the last few years because I was always chasing comps, and you don't get them in the WSOP room. But my card status is set for the next year, and Horseshoe has their promos going, which has made their games kinda crappy.

Problem with the Aria is that the tournament area is relatively small. If you bust and want to reenter there might be an hour wait to get a seat... This might change with the higher buy, (people less likely to spew it off hoping to get an early double up).

Plus you are surrounded by loud slots and a ton of foot traffic. And smokers. And not foot traffic headed to the Encore pool. Among my least favorite tournament settings I’ve ever seen.

Their twitter spaces thing did say they added 10-15 tables so hopefully that woupd alleviate that issue.

It is May 1st. WSOP registration via BravoPokerLive still not enabled? In a few days it will be three weeks later than year. What is going on? Why is it so late this year? WTF.

Why are you so excited to register via Bravo?

A release of the WSOP online schedule someday would be nice though.......

See, that's the thing. I remain very un-excited. Seeing registration open via Bravo would get me excited. It would mean I'd be a step closer to committing to play the WSOP.

I usually get excited around schedule release time but I feel kinda meh about this year. And I agree, the delays just seem to sort of suck the excitement out of it all. I’m actually on the fence about going now.

This. Feel the same way. Least excited I’ve been about a June/July trip in nearly 10 years.

I wouldn’t say it’s because of the excitement level, but I would not be at all surprised if numbers across the board are down this year.

I don't understand your logic, what is the difference in registering a month and a half ahead of tourney or a month ahead,(if you are playing the first week) it's not like you won't get in.
What difference does that make in whether or not you go to Las Vegas? So many options, great numbers, can't figure out why a few week delay in Bravo registration would be a deterrent.

Yeah i dont get why anyone is antsy about registering for a one off tournament. Just bring the cash and register the night before. Seats will not sell out* barring some circumstances like the mini main last year. *everyone still got in, they just had to wait for people to bust out.

But anyone that preregs online will be the same type of people that reg early when they get to Vegas.

If you're there for a while, one will load up a TBIC account and then register whenever anyway. Does suck if the rumors about not being able to wire money to load up an account are true but bringing 10-20k cash domestically isn't really a big deal.

Or put money into a big bank (chase, boa, wf etc) and withdraw in vegas if one is really that concerned flying with it
