Philly Live!

No idea if there is a thread started already but I can't find one so I figure I'd post something. Anybody have any Info on it? As of now I know there will be a poker room a hotel attached and it supposedly is opening end of 2020.

Anyone know if they charge to park on 76ers game days?
Their website specifies Eagles and Phillies only:
https://philadelphia.livecasinohotel.com...

I asked on their Twitter page but no response yet.
If I cannot get an answer here I guess I'll be all old school and call... 😀

no its a different location and stadium

Random question that people may or may not be able to answer....

I'm going to be in town in a few weeks time for work, and am taking the Thurs/Fri off to watch March Madness. Will be a few of us, but the amount will vary throughout the day and it might be as few as 2 for large bits and as many as 8-10.....

How big is the sports bar / book bit there, and is it going to be super difficult to just come in and out through the day? I assume so, I don't have high hopes.......

How is the PLO action here compare to Parx?

I saw that they have a 5/5 PLO with no max and want to know if it's make up with mostly the same group of people who used to played at Parx?

I know they charge 30 bucks for parking during Phillies games..
If you play poker during a Phillies game will they validate parking? Or do you have to pay before you enter?

you have to pay upon entering, they waive it for a higher tier cardholders

validate receipt in the poker room after 4 hours of playing and you get reimbursed with cash at the main cage

I'd recommend doing it as soon as you hit 4 hours, last time I made a mistake waiting till the end and was stuck there for another 20 minutes bc the podium girl had to process it for several other players

Something you will dislike about this place is that all mobile sportsbooks besides FD are restricted from working on this property. Any clue on how they got that through?

I always seem to miss the times when 5/5 is going so can't comment on that, but 2/2 is good most of the time and plays with the straddle, bomb pots etc

think it's a Philly thing, they restrict online books nearby certain public places iirc

I think it's a wi-fi thing ... same thing would happen to me at Rivers, so I would just disable wi-fi and use cellular for internet and it would work fine.

Each casino can limit what you can use on THEIR wi-fi connection, I believe.

Try that and see if it works!

At parx only fanduel works all the time. Sometimes you can get sugar House/rivers or ESPN bet to work. Wifi doesn't matter.

Thanks. Do I need a players card when I pay to get reimbursed?

No, just save the receipt and they will take care of it

$300 for a night seems wild, i have platinum status from MD Live. Is there some trick I’m missing to get a better rate??

Either gamble a ton or pay it. There’s Not that many rooms. So any comp rooms are tough to come by. If you want call and talk to a host. I had a host for like a year as a black card and it was super tough to get comp rooms. Although she could never say no in the end for my tendency to spew on slots.

The rates are reasonable. They’re charging $300 because gamblers are willing to pay for the convenience. If it were so wild that people would rather stay at the Motel 6 and the hotels frequently vacant they would lower their rates.

It is near the stadium, so probably sports fans in town for the game are also willing to pay.

Looks like a big overlay may be in the offing in the $2,200. Final day 1 tomorrow; $500k guarantee that would need 257 players- as per poker news 83 entrants through the first 3 flights. Bin Weng awaits with a big chip lead among the 9 day 2 players who have made it through so far.

Borgata event is definitely problematic. Although it may also be possible the the Eagles opener tonight is keeping some number of people from playing today’s flight as well.
