ex-President Trump

ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:

a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?

b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

Biden is a warmongerer

Is he a liberal?

Lol

by Slighted P

give him some preferred branding licenses in NATO countries and he'd be 100% in.

Promise to name a new aircraft carrier to Trump and he’ll donate a Gerald Ford class.

So under two Democratic Presidents Russia invades Ukraine and under Trump they do nothing . Keep spouting BS

Probably because Trump publicly supported Russia (and maybe moreso privately) so Putin didn't want to get on his bad side.

by lozen P

So how do you explain them taking Crimea under Obama?

So under two Democratic Presidents Russia invades Ukraine and under Trump they do nothing . Keep spouting BS

Obama was weak and he showed to the world when he told Syria to not cross the “red line he draw in the sand”.
Syria did anyway and Obama did nothing . Putin went forward 2 hands on the wheel into Crimea.

+1
And trump was facking with nato , don’t stop trump by showing him he made a mistake by expanding Russia ….

So a bad leader behaves because he likes Trump hmm that doesn’t sound bad

What would be the reason they attack under democrats? They don’t like them ?

Trump can't remember saying he has a great memory.

While Republicans criticize President Biden over his age and supposed poor memory,
the Daily Show found instances of Donald Trump forgetting simple facts.

Biden has lost a step, but Trump lost all his marbles.

Maybe Trump the destroying a political unified front against Russian works better for any Putin than some potential weak landgrabs he's attempting.

I wish they would show us the part were he questions Biden's competency.

This is the Network that said Trump was extorting countries for the USA to defend them .

President Trump took and passed a cognitive test, Biden refuses to take one. There's no comparison to these two gentlemen's cognitive ability, only a blind squirrel can't tell the difference.

Lara trump is taking over the RNC.. lol. im sure the few non maga republicans will get fair treatment and funding going forward.

what's the lindsay graham quote before he licked the boots? if we elect him he will destroy us?

btw I don't think non-maga republicans will get treated worse by the RNC than sanders was by the DNC, do you?

I don't think it is fair comparing what slighted thinks the RNC will do to whatever he defines as non-mega repubs and what the DNC actually did to sanders.

Sanders was openly pitching a slow and deliberate destruction of America. The DNC had an obligation to make sure sanders never became president in the same way a police officer has an obligation to run towards danger. Plus repubs would be saying for at least 20 years that sanders was the dem nom back in x year and that was not that long ago and they would refer to every far left leaning dem as a sanders type of dem.

I think we can all agree that sanders would be less than 1% to beat trump (or any other politician in a presidential race), but you can't take the chance that aliens could come to earth, read minds and kill everyone who was going to vote against sanders. There may be other scenarios where sanders could win a general election, but this is by far the most likely and scholars believe this makes up around 60% of his win equity.

bernie sanders (I)

the (I) part means...not a democrat...when not convenient.

it's not totally dissimilar. clinton was the money maker in the DNC at the time, and Trump is undoubtedly the money maker in the RNC. however Bernie was an (I) by his own choices, and he had his own power base. the smaller candidates in the RNC stand zero chance against maga candidates if Trump is in charge. it's undying fealty or no support in races where they wont have their own ability to fund. the RNC is already treating Haley like Bernie even before the official trump family nepo takeover.

Sanders would’ve easily beat trump or Clinton.

Bahbah from what I gather from your posting, we share a fair amount of "values" (preferences) in politics, so I don't want to sound condescending.

I think you are dismissing the actual value of democracy which entails accepting horrific (for you) preferences when constitutionally valid.

Accepting as in "they have a right to full and complete representation if they gather enough votes toward that"

At a glance all countries actually threatened by Russia as a neighbor qualify, with the glaring exception of Germany who has a moral and legal duty to spend more for it's armed forces

A list of one: Iceland.

Uhh what? How is Germany any more of a "country actually threatened by Russia as a neighbour" than for example Czechia? Or even Italy, which is not much further away from Russia than Germany (if you exclude Kaliningrad) and spends even less? Hell Norway literally borders Russia and is below 2%. Singling out Germany from that list for that reason is bizarre.

The Czech republic and Italy don't border Russia.

Germany does. I don't exclude Kaliningrad where nuclear weapons are deployed.
