Intervention request
First off I want to note some great things:
I presume this moderator could just ban me. They haven't. They haven't done anything at all besides issue verbal warnings. They seem to be bending over backward - along with devoting a lot of their own time - to try and avoid things escalating. So big props to them on that. That's awesome modding.
But it appears we are rapidly heading toward escalations and I'd like to avoid that.
At this point the moderator is giving me instructions I simply cannot follow because they are so vague and subjective. I'm sure they are clear to them but they are not clear to me. It's seems clear as day they are unhappy with my conduct in their forum but how to fix it they are not being clear about.
For example I reported a post. I explained to them it was a sincere report and their response was effectively to tell not to abuse the report function. I repeated that it was sincere and explained my reasoning and once again they repeated that I was abusing the report function and don't do that.
That's an impossible to follow instruction. I didn't think I was abusing it and so now I have to read this moderators mind every time I report something? I can't read minds.
Now an issue in the forum has come up and they are instructing:
Don't be obtuse and troll incessantly. Simple as that.
That isn't simple because I have no idea what they consider being obtuse, nor incessant trolling. And they aren't explaining what they mean. Once again they are instructing me to read their mind anytime I do something.
I am requesting specific, actionable instructions for what I can and cannot do in their forum.
Your only choice was to try to read my mind, instead of asking for clarification? Or perhaps even looking up the definition of the word "obtuse"?

You lied and made a false accusation towards me. That I take offense to as I make a real effort to be a fair and just moderator for the SE Forum. 2plus2 through the years has taught me so much and I've met some great people on here. Being a moderator "for free" is my way of giving back and I do it with great content in my heart.
What I am doing itt is that I am merely defending myself, showing proof towards my warnings, and explaining things to you as simply as I can.
Like I said above, I do not know you well enough to be able to determine if I "like you or not". However I can see a trend in the posts that you are making, that other posters are taking notice of as well. A trend that is not congruent with the forums rules and guidelines.
I am not showing you the door. On the contrary, I am showing you what it means to be a part of this forum community.
It is your choice if you choose to accept that or not.
For the record: I have not changed my view that this dude is a good mod and he has done a good job here. I think roughly 100% of mods most anywhere would have banned me by now and he hasn't done anything. Maybe he's pissed off by now but he's still working to resolve this. I appreciate it. And so should 2+2.

I don't get emotional over forum posts. I'm a grown man and make moderator decisions objectively.

I wish you well whether you decide to be a part of this community or not. Btw, I value your passion for Brock Purdy. There will never be another "Tom Brady" but there certainly can be a first "Brock Purdy" who can end up being pretty damn great himself. I root for the guy to succeed as well. I mean, who doesn't love an American true underdog story!?

Sealioning is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with relentless requests for evidence, often tangential or previously addressed, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity, and feigning ignorance of the subject matter.

I understand what you mean. I was employing the principle of charity and interpreting what you said in the strongest, most rational way possible.

But this sort of thing isn't bad (and I agree on both points) and isn't what you do in SE. You would be a Hero in the NFL threads if you made fun of America's Team every now and then. Everyone would love you. Unfortunately, all you've done since SF lost to Bal is whine about the Haterz over and over and over...

Twitter and 2+2 are identical in this way. They're both private companies with social media products anyone can use.
Twitter used to be a publicly traded company (which wouldn't change this at all) but now they are private, mostly owned by Elon Musk. Making it a direct apples to apples comparison.
Perhaps in your country, companies like Twitter have restrictions on what they must allow. In America, they can do pretty much whatever the **** they want. They choose to very open. 2p2 chooses to be far more restrictive. Twitter is worth over $10 billion. There are people who learned poker on this website with more money in front of them at poker tables right now, than this site is worth today.
