2024 MYSTERY MILLIONS Bounty WSOP Event #5
This year also like previous year ,one of the most exiting event will be with 4 starting day 1Flights.
THURSDAY-MAY 30 Day 1A
FRIDAY – MAY 31, Day 1 B
SATURDAY-JUNE 1 Day1C
SUNDAY-JUNE 2. Day 1D
After Missing Last year's tournament I will be glad to paly Flight 1 D.
Last year they had 18188 runners in 4 starting flight. Everyone making day 2 are a bounty . There were 1006 bounties. $1000 to $1000000.
Based on last year popularity ,I think They will have similar numbers of players or More.
Anyone here will be playing this Tournament ?

Last year they added an extra $1 mil bounty so 2 were given out. Would you prefer A) 2x 1 Mil or B) 1x$1 mil and 10x $100,000?
Great Idea !!
I would prefer any of these added instead 1 million.
4 X $250000
Or
10X $100000
Or
20X $50000
I played it last year and I will play 1D again this year.
I guess I am firing just one bullet unless I change my plans/reservations.
Also definitely in this year, probably play 1C and 1D if the first one doesn’t go well.
If you are playing Million $$ Bounty, I found some interesting facts based on last year tournaments.
Many of us are not happy even we made day 2 but not on the top 10 or top 50 in our flight.
I reviewed last years all 4 flights (A,B,C, & D) and selected top 10 stack of each flight.
Out of those 40 top stack of 4 starting days ( Total players going into day 2 were 1006):
(All of them finished top 10 on their Day 1)
*Only 7 made it to top 50 finisher
(* Only 1 made it to the Final Table)
7 finished in 51-100 range.
4 finished in 101-150 range.
3 finished in 151-200 range.
8 finished in 200-300 range.
7 finished in 300-400 range.
1 finished in 400-500 range.
3 finished in above 500-625 range.
Now Lets look at Top 10 Final Tournament finishers , Where were they on their respective Day1?
Name Day 1 Chip # Finished on the day 1
1, Tyler Brown IL 750000. 157/1D
2,* Guang Chen SI NY 330000. 232/1C

* 476 made day 2 on flight 1d out of 8061 players.
*Brown finished 157th and Finished #1 on the Tournament.
*Ho finished 152nd on his Day 1 and finished 8th on the tournament
*281 made day 2 on flight 1c out of 5147 players.
* Chen finished 232nd on his Day 1 and finished 2nd in tournament.
My point is , don’t give up as long as you make day 2 you have a chance .
I will be at the WSOP when it starts due to it fitting my schedule better than any other window of time, so I will be firing in this event.
Here is the list of 1006 bounties of 2023:
1 Million………. 2
500 K……….. 1
250 K…………….1
100 K…… 3
50. K………. 5
25 K……….. 38
5. K…………. 42
2500……………..55
1000…………. 859
Based on popularity of the Mystery Bounty Last year what do you think will happen this year ? Last year they had 18188 runners.
1,Less than last year runners
2, More than last year numbers
3, Any guess ?
I would guess more. Everyone who played last time would be Jonesing to try again. Add in newcomers. 100 more tables too. I'm guessing 20,000.
I think I will go with same conclusion above 20000.
As I wasn’t there last year ,was there any flights were sold out and closed or registering players as standby ?
I know with extra 100 table situation will be better this year.
But I am little concerned as I will be playing last flight of the tournament, do I need to register online in advance. ?
What are the chances of flight D selling out day before ? I know in that scenario I will be out of luck. But that extra 100 tables are a good assurance.
I registered and bought in via BravoPokerLive for day 1D. If memory serves I saw lines of standby players waiting for their seats but not when the day started; later in the day.
You bought on BravoLive in advance or same day ? I think there is some fee involved with BravoLive.
I registered using Bravo many weeks prior to the event, using a credit card. 3% charge on the CC, $3 Bravo processing fee. My bank would have charged me $30 to wire the money so that was not an advantage to CC. Beats standing in a long line.
The 100 extra tables are in the Versailles tower (formerly Jubilee). This will obviously help overall, but it's not like they expanded the main space where these mega field events are being held. I'm pretty sure they cancelled the 1:00pm daily Deepstack for 1D of this event last year. So, they were using all of their available space. If they allow spillover into the new space during these mega-field events, or if that space is used for stuff which would otherwise have to take up room in the main areas (like cash), then yes, the extra 100 tables will make it possible for there to be larger fields. But if this new space is just used so that they don't have to cancel Daily Deepstacks, I don't think it will necessarily affect the field sizes much.
At this moment, if I were a gambling man, I would take the under on 20K, and might even take the under on last year's number. We are another year removed from the bounty which was Covid relief, and I think there have just been a lot more great tournaments and series available to folks over the last year than there were the previous year. Add to that a general malaise in economic outlook, and I'm not sure bankrolls are as flush as they were last year. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a bit of a pullback from last year's numbers on many events. All that being said, I have no reason to believe this won't be another really great WSOP.
I agree with many logical questions in Akashenk post.
But I think there are some special reasons why some tournaments are very attractive to an average poker players . ( Like me )
1, Small buy-in with Big guarantee for example :Gladiator , Mystery Bounty,
2, Reasonable buy-in with potential huge attendance & Jackpot:Colossus, Monster stack etc
3, Surprise $$ : Mystery Bounty :knocking out someone can surprisingly turn into Million or 1/2 Million payday!!
So even Mystery Million Bounty, Gladiator,Monster stack etc are not a novelty as they are being offered for last 3-4 years, will attract huge crowd.
With that in mind I think Mystery Bounty will attract close to last year or maybe more !!
I am assuming that, like last year, there will be no daily deepstacks if you bust the Mystery bounty on day 1. The WSOP offers event 12 a $1500 6 handed NLHE tournament on Mon June 3rd. That is a bit funky -- how many have experience playing 6 handed? It isn't especially deep stacked with a 25K starting stack and the first day features 40 min levels and is a tad pricey. What other tournaments will be running that day outside of the WSOP for all of the MB bustees? Last year there was a $600 event 11 NLHE tournament if you busted out. Disappointed that they decided not to run that same combo this year. This may push me towards giving up and not playing the Mystery bounty this time. Who wants to bust out and have no playing options the next day? No, seriously. Thoughts?
Mystery bounty has 4 starting day 1. Each one has ONE RE-ENTRY PER FLIGHT. So if you bust out on day 1 , you will have 3 more flights to play .
Let me rephrase that. If you don't make it to day 2 you are S-O-L.
Well I don’t think so . Any given tournaments only15% to 18% runners makes day 2.
Mystery Bounty starts paying on day 1, and ends the day with only 5% of the field. Out of starting field of 18188 only 1005 made day 2.
I am tentatively thinking of playing this year Mystery Million flight D. (June 2) will be reaching on afternoon/ evening of June 1st and only planning to fire 1 bullet.
I was looking at last year’s statistics. Flight C had over 5000 runners and Flight D had over 8000 runners . Based on popularity of Mystery Bounty tournaments I expect similar large field if not bigger.
I have questions to players who played last year.
Was any flight were sold out ? How was registration experience ? Was any flights had long wait to get your seat after registration ? Standby ?
I appreciate any input. Thx
I played flight D last time. I did see long lines of people standing, waiting for seats to open. My memory is sketchy on exactly what time of day I saw those lines forming.
Late reg lines will be long (the line to get your seat after you reg).
Nothing sells out at WSOP, you'll just be waiting.
How and when did you registered ? If you did in person?
Thx
I think I will be registering on June 1st (the day before of flight D) so I guess i will be ok .
