Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
In his defense, he only supports genocide against Jews.
Accepting civilian casualties made necessary *by hamas* in order to defeat hamas, isn't "supporting genocide".
We went through this, you can keep inventing pallywood narratives, we don't care.
Every single palestinian civilian, not affiliated with hamas, who dies, only dies because there are no other ways to try to eradicate hamas, because of hamas choices. Accepting that has to happen isn't "supporting genocide". There is no genocide going on because there is no systematic killing of innocents for the sole purpose of killing them.
They die because hamas puts them in peril and eradicating hamas is more important than preserving their lives.
All the blood is on hamas hands. Hamas could surrender, or flee the strip, or just completly stop all operations and go in hiding, and civilians wouldn't die anymore. It's hamas killing each and every one of them.
And you, as a supporter of hamas efforts, are the genocide supporter IF a palestinian genocide is happening (which it isn't), it's by Hamas.
Is killing people wrong?
You also don’t think killing terrorists is wrong because you don’t understand blowback and how it works, or martyrdom.
The US is the leader of the free world and we keep lots of “terrorists” in our prisons. Seems like a good example.
You should show him the light and change his mind
No he supports Putin ukrainian genocide as well
is pretty pathetic that they are reduced to just saying "no, u" over and over again
no, its a direct attack on civilians. its not accepting civilian casualties. as the Israeli's and the Zionists have told us, there are no civilians.
the rest of your post is the typical incoherent hypocrisy that we hear from fascists.
I support a ceasefire and negotiated settlement.
however, I am not so depraved to accuse Zelensky and the West of being at fault for all of the Ukrainian deaths. and I dont support Putin or Ukraine simply murdering civilians to get the results they want.
for one, killing civilians to force a surrender almost never works.
No, I am fully in support of the death penalty.
Mega lol @ showing genocide vic the light.
I’m Jewish, so he wants me dead.
My bad, I was mistaken.
What are the teams in WW3? The US helping Israel clean out Lebanon and Iran is just more ME shenanigans.
Say the guy who responds with “lol” every time he’s made to look like an idiot.
anyway, in today's Mccarthyism news,
Columbia suspended her daughter after she asked the president about the chemical weapons attack against pro-Palestinian and anti-genocide students that hospitalized Jews.
This came out yesterday, it's quite good:
https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/ho...
And in it, Scott mentions that actually there's a case for Hamas being more atrocious than the Nazis, because even the Nazis evacuated their own women and children out of harm's way any time they could.
Iran has a bit more pull than Iraq did, but perhaps you're right and it would just be another 20-year military adventure that butchers a bunch of kids instead of a global conflict.
Call it an excursion, then. A little hike to Damascus, sort of a work-study program for the IDF.
I need a new phone
I mean, if you look at the armed forces comparisions of military equipment and take that at face value. The US breaks even against about 30-40 Irans. In that ignores all its edges in tech and of course needing a backup country lol.
It's not WW3 if it's not USA vs Russia. Simple as that.
USA would destroy the Iranian military in a month or two. But, like Iraq (military defeated in weeks) or Afghanistan (military defeated in hours), it would be the beginning of a decade or two of civil war and IEDs and such.
let me guess, that gives you justification to order all Palestinians killed
its Beirut. and things wont go well for Israel if they try that.
but they hypocrisy from the Zionists never ends. they act like Hezbollah just woke up one day and started firing missiles at them. as if doing a genocide in Gaza had nothing to do with it.
did Hezbollah help out with Oct 7? I wonder how many of them can correctly answer that.
Might take us a few weeks, I doubt a few months...
Could be, but Iran is a large country with lots of mountains. It would certainly take a while to get ready and USA would be sending at least half a million people there, maybe a million.
How is unconditional support of Israel not anti-Palestinan?
Basically....
Who really knows but im not confident that Iran would defeat SA alone in a conventional war. Iran edges in man power and terrain but SA is militarily modernized and I think that matters a lot.
