These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. 2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

I wouldn't say they're worse. They just have more power and might and stuff. With the impunity backing of the U.S.
In Egypt some Islamists murdered a prominent Israeli businessman just because he was Israeli/Jewish. He did some sort of agricultural import business; completely unrelated to anything going on in Gaza. The Houthis repeatedly shoot at Asian sailors that again have nothing to do with Gaza, sinking one ship and killing a bunch of crew. They captured another crew months ago and we have heard nothing since.
I could go on and on and on. Almost every day in this part of the world there is some random brutal attack on civilians in the name of Allah, where there is almost never any comparable actions anywhere else in the world.
In the year 2024 no other culture in the world is this sort of stuff so normalized.
The wanton brutality of MENA Muslims as a group killing in the name of Allah is way beyond what you see from any other culture/people. And 10/7 was an especially brutal example of this type of behavior, but it wasn't any big outlier except in size and scope. Islamists are doing this sort of stuff almost every day.
There is a Twitter video circulating where in the last day Hamas shot up a bunch of Gaza civilians while stealing an aid shipment. Again, completely normal behavior. All you guys like to **** on US police for being brutal, ignoring the fact that your hero's Hamas are 100x worse; but you are all willing to overlook that because every once in a while they take a break from brutalizing their own population to shoot some Jews.
There is no moral equivalency between Islamists like Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah, ISIS, Boko Haram etc. and Israel. One is 100x worse than the other. And the most charitable thing you can say about leftists who try to make a case for moral equivalency, or worse invert everything, is that they are morally confused.

Apparently neither are Israelis if vic's Hamas & oct 07 apologia is anything to go by.
The indiscriminate bombing of Gaza has been to destroy Palestinians in part. Maybe not to destroy them for the sake of destroying, but destroying them as a tactic, nonetheless.
I'd add that the IDF is destroying all the schools, universities, and civic buildings. This gutting of civil society shows they don't want the Palestinians to exist as an organized people. That's genocide.
I mean given the 110 other conflicts taking place and for you to be consistent, shouldn't you be arguing that some of those groups deserve to be killed? What makes this one so special?

This. Hamas, at a minimum, needs to be demilitarized.
Hamas is doing everything it can to maximize civilian casualties. The civilian deaths are for a good cause, PR cannon fodder to ensure the survival of Hamas and the eventual eradication of Jews in the region, as far as people like Sinwar are concerned.
Doesn’t make it less stupid for Israel to do exactly what Hamas wants and do less than the bare minimum when it comes to aid.

I think they are targeting the Israeli soldiers that have been murdering civilians for the last 6 months. in other words, legitimate targets.

Israel is not doing anything with the intent to destroy a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. They are trying to destroy hamas or at minimum demilitrize them and take them out of power
