2) I'm sure there were blockades to keep people from entering parts of front street so more people didn't die. I don't know specifically what happened beyond what Fish's (I've talked to Fish plenty, so next time I see him I'll ask him directly, it's a pretty chopped video) report in your video, but they obviously weren't intentionally blocking people in. 3) As far as barbed wire now, I'm sure there are still things to steal, but it's also

It's a proven fact that the cars were blocked from escaping, which is how a lot of people died. This doesn't only come from your friend Fish who was interviewed it comes from just about every survivor. There are countless interviews with people shocked as to why they were blocking the escape routes with no explanation why. And it's not just barbed wire, on HRE's video from yesterday, there are miles and miles of fence covered with a black tarp so no one can see in. They also used heavy yellow iron equipment to move large boulders on a lookout point on a mountain that overlooks the city so no one can park there anymore to look down on the valley. Since you know this guy Fish, why don't you ask him what they're hiding there and why our government (this operation is lead by FEMA, the national guard there who are blocking the road are answering to them only) is doing this

Our president who went there to visit compared this to a small kitchen fire in his house and joked that he almost lost his corvette. That was a stab in the back to everyone involved. It was a disgrace (as usual).

Since we're in the study game... I have two for you.

40% of deaths could have been prevented from Covid-19, if the Trump administration took the virus more seriously, didn't spread misinformation, and took better policy positions:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021...

Over 230k preventable covid-19 deaths in the US if people even had 1 covid-19 vaccine shot:

So all it takes for you to believe something is a website? See how easy it is to control people?

It's not hard to see what's going on, but just in case, cliffs: Biden is a front for the global nazies who are all hidden (in plain sight) behind klaus schwab and the WEF along with their cohorts over at the CDC, FBI, CIA, DOJ, FEMA and the UN who are doing this in plain sight, but everyone is too programmed to hate trump as much as possible (who's also a front fwiw, he's basically a nothing in this war it's not all about him either but he's definitely on humanities side) or too closed minded to ever think they're being lied to.

The fires that caused all the smoke in NYC all started at the exact same time over hundreds of miles of forrest in Canada. How on earth does that happen naturally? But everyone wants to turn a blind eye because they believe "of course no one would do that on purpose" which was probably so they can start their plans for climate lockdowns. I'm not a conspiracy theorist I'm just stating the facts that need to be answered of which everyone wants to turn a blind eye to.

They're also currently preparing for a new pandemic with a new variant. Also, FEMA just emailed the people involved in the Maui disaster to not post any pictures of the disaster on social media. What are they hiding?

Your president doesn't care at all about anybody he's supposed to be serving, because he's not serving us he's serving his masters who control him along with many other leaders of other countries. If they continue to get their way, you will all be living in a climate crisis where you won't be allowed to travel more than 15 minutes from your home and forced to eat bugs and artificially grown foods. Bon appetito.

This is a huge goalpost shift. I was questioning your statement that "while in power, Dems killed family leave."

Manchin isn't a Democrat?

But it fell out of his compromise framework, a victim of centrists who objected to its ambition and cost.

nty is so funny. People to the right of 80% of the population on an issue are centrists.

These articles are always written as if lobbyists, campaign contributions, speaking fees, fake jobs, etc don't exist. All of this is decided by people sitting around and debating the issues from principled positions.

by ES2 P

Manchin isn't a Democrat?

He hasn't been much of a Democrat for the last twenty years, and now, as everyone knows, he isn't even nominally a Democrat.

so you think he's been killed and replaced by a double?

by rickroll P

so you think he's been killed and replaced by a double?

No. I'm just aware that he is no longer a member of the Democratic party.

exactly, but have you considered it was because he was killed and replaced?

I can't say that the thought ever crossed my mind.

Yeah. When you read that article it seems almost impossible that the policy didn't get through. Even some Republican politicians support it. Trump supports it and put it to congress while prez. How could even a right leaning Dem (at the time) oppose it? Seems crazy.

Set over set. Again! Well, i guess I'll rebuy.

I searched to be sure. The word "lobbyist" or any variation never appears in the artcle. No mention of donors or campaign contributions.

It was all just a high school style debate over sincere beliefs.

Well that's a good thing in my book.
I would be fine with a law requiring vacation time off, but paid parental or family leave given only to parents is ridiculously discriminatory.

That’s ok because it’s equitable.

by PointlessWords P

That’s ok because it’s equitable.

How can it be both discriminatory and equitable?

by chillrob P

How can it be both discriminatory and equitable?

plenty of ways

the rich dont need as much as the poor so we discriminate against them and give an equitable amount to everyone, equitable as in its an amount they need or deserve etc.

the rich dont need the same as the poor and they certainly dont deserve more

What does that have to do with parental leave?

by chillrob P

What does that have to do with parental leave?

sorry, I see. Its because as a nation, we need people to have children and having kids is an incredibly important part of life. Those people are doing much more than citizens who do not have kids.

The government already subsidizes children with tax benefits. And we certainly don't need more children in the US when we have people dying to move here every day.

Sometimes I think that I should discuss politics some place other than a poker site so that I can avoid ill-fitting poker analogies.

Sounds like you're thinking of folding. You could also raise.

Sigh. I should have realized that blocking bets haven't worked since 2005.

Yes but they don’t do it enough. It isn’t equitable

by Luckbox Inc P

Probably better to be an enthusiast than a victim.

I dunno, the CIA used to kidnap people off the streets and dose them with LSD and buy them prostitutes. (proly still do tbh).

As possible retorts go this was A+

Sounds like they were early pioneers of your government subsidised hooker programme.

ETA: lol, confused you with PW now that you have the same avatar.

I set em up...

by chillrob P

How can it be both discriminatory and equitable?

You are taking this hyper literally, which is why almost everyone disagrees.

Pw is right. Essentially every policy is discriminatory in some way. You favor vacations. "Discriminatory" against retirees, houswives and husbands, etc. Oh well. It is equitable and good.

Moreover, you would eventually benefit from living in a more stable society. Better developed people. Less divorce, welfare, crime, mental illness, etc.

After we all croak, it would be as close to a non discriminatory policy as possible as all children would benefit and everyone starts off as a child.

by PointlessWords P

Yes but they don’t do it enough. It isn’t equitable

That's ridiculous. There's no reason the government should be subsidizing the creation of new people at all. The US is in no danger of becoming depopulated; as I said previously, people are literally dying for a chance to move here.

The only reason I can fathom for a disinterested person to support current Americans having more babies, instead of letting more people immigrate would be racism.

But really the main reason it is supported by most people is that most adults are parents, and they just selfishly want money to be taken from other people and given to them.
