The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet...i'd be shocked if they lost the election now.

Just shows just how incompetent Conservatives are.

You gave one example and from what I read he was prescribing excessive amounts of drugs. He never was forced to undergo social media training

What you talking about ?
We talking about Birju Dattan and his posting on many social media’s that cost him big ….

The other case was about orders ban bad members for different reasons and the one u and I were speaking of (I suppose?) been suspended or five for terrible controversial arguments on radio , tv and other media’s .

If you can’t see that Peterson isn’t a special case but many others got problems with their own professional orders or future jobs applications it’s fine shrug .

Keep getting monetize by so called prosecuted millionaires /billionaires (trump, musk, Peterson) …

The butchering of children is illegal in majority of the world, are the doctors in those countries less moral than Canadian Doctors? They've all sworn an oath.

It's always so cute when you guys try to be clever.

Also "butchering of children". Yikes.

Alberta and the cons ITT should be genuflecting endlessly at Trudeau. This is the guy that got the pipeline expansion built in Canada and look at the reward it is reaping. When the pipeline wasn't yet completed it was easy for you guys to pretend like he wasn't the massive pro-oil prime minister he is because the big reward hadn't come, but now that it is here the only thing out of your mouths should be "PRAISE BE TO THE RIGHT HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER JUSTIN TRUDEAU".

Not another word.

Poilievre will probably sell the thing at a huge discount to value, but at least for now projections are to generate 4 billion a year in toll fees to the federal coffers.

Not cute, you claimed to have the moral high ground, defend your position and stop being a coward. Do these doctors sign the same oath?

https://www.city-journal.org/article/a-c...

In July, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a major medical association representing 11,000 members and over 90 percent of the field in the U.S. and Canada, told me that it “has not endorsed any organization’s practice recommendations for the treatment of adolescents with gender dysphoria.” ASPS acknowledged that there is “considerable uncertainty as to the long-term efficacy for the use of chest and genital surgical interventions” and that “the existing evidence base is viewed as low quality/low certainty.”

by uke_master P

Yeah, what would you call the chopping off of body parts? Also you claimed gender affirming surgery is rare and "Boogeyman by transphobes":

A new analysis by the Manhattan Institute, using a more up-to-date all-payer national insurance database from 2017 to 2023, found evidence of 5,288 to 6,294 “gender-affirming” double mastectomies for girls under age 18. This includes 50 to 179 girls who were 12.5 or younger at the time of their procedure. (“Top surgery” on 12-year-old girls has been reported in the medical literature.)

Lol. When a medical doctor performs a surgery they and the patient believes is in the medical best interests of their patient, that isn't the same as "butchering". This is choosing the most ridiculous emotive and exaggerated language to describe the situation. Personally I'm not a medical doctor, and unlike some I don't pretend to play one on the internet, so I have basically no medical claim on the efficacy and think this is likely to evolve as information comes in and I"m equally happy whichever way the medical consensus shifts. What's inept is for people to try and play some "moral high ground" game as you are doing where if doctors don't act as you imagine they should you are going to call it butchering and claim they are violating their oaths.

As for frequency, I've talked about this before on the forum that it appears to be a sliding scale. Bottom surgery is tiny in under 18s, top surgery overwhelmingly done in older teens and most importantly for fighting the transphobic tropes bottom surgery in young children is absolutely a boogeyman. Doesn't happen effectively ever. So yes, if you want to be mad at a small but non-zero number of breast surgeries in older teens have at it hoss but the whole lopping of genitals of children schtick My basic view here is that this is a choice not to be made by GOP politicians but by patients, their families, and their doctors.

Take it to the trans thread if you want to "discuss" more.

I wonder if they think circumcised is butchering too ?
It’s certainly isn’t a necessity from nature that’s for sure …

Wow record oil production plus record exports of domestic and US coal. Now Uke should be able to confirm Justin is a climate phony

Canada is indeed on an exports whirlwind. Up 45% from 2015!!!

You’re totally right lozen. Conservatives should be ecstatic with Trudeau who has been among the best right leaning PMs delivering for big oil and big business in Canada. Progressive like me can be disappointed, but you should be genuflecting.

Why aren’t you?

Tax carbon is phony too I suppose .
It’s so phony u get angry very hard about it .

Some of us are capable of holding two ideas in our head at the same time. Trudeau has done a lot of tremendous work on climate changing, and promises a lot more through 2030. That’s good. He also has expanded oil exports dramatically and this while great for the economy cuts against the climate change work. I can acknowledge both sides.

Why can’t you?

No the carbon tax is real and hits us all in the pocket books and does absolutely nothing to reduce wildfires or bring back white Christmases

Why can’t you?

by uke_master P

Why can’t you?

Because its not true. Yes the new pipeline has increased capacity but we can use more capacity and a Energy East Pipeline would provide that. Never should a government be buying pipelines but Trudeau was forced to as the private sector got tired of all the hurdles . Take a company like Tech that went through all the hurdles got all the approvals and Trudeau would not approve. They bailed as did investment dollars.

Trudeaus climate promises are like a obese person stating ill lose 30 lbs by 2035 and cuts out salads to start

So you are saying a DRAMATIC increase in oil export - directly due to actions the Trudeau government took to ensure the pipeline was built - isn't something you are willing to give Trudeau credit for?

It is times like this where your hopeless partisanship and unwilling to give an iota of credit when credit is absolutely due really shines through.

Sad.

Of course Ill give him credit for increasing capacity but blame him for putting the government in the position it had to buy the pipeline which maybe you can remind me how many billions over budget was it ?

Heck if he can turn around and flip it for a buck ill give him credit for that also

"Of course I'll give him credit" - buddy you were dodging and dodging for post after post. Don't say of course. It is pulling out teeth to get you to give even the most muted acknowledgement that by YOUR STANDARDS as someone who advocates for dramatic increases in oil production that Trudeau has accomplished precisely that.

So seem Trudeau isn’t a phony about fighting climate changes if you will feel it huh ?
seem your fossil fuel consumption will be lower in some way or another .

So u can believe it won’t work , but you can’t say Trudeau is phony on fighting climate change .

See the difference ?

It’s a super big super impactful thing making huge consequences to Canadians everywhere……that doesn’t do anything. Never doubt conservative logic.

The private sector wasn’t interest at all to buy it ….
They saw it would cost too much and not enough profitable ..

Of course they had no interest in buying it as the hurdles were to great and delays after delays. You fail to realize the private sector started it

These mines that are going to produce all the components for the battery plants you think they will be fast tracked? Not a chance

Resource development in Canada faces to many hurdles and many put in place by Trudeau

So in the end Trudeau did right to help oil business .
No idea why u gives **** for it .

At least it seem the stupid narrative of Trudeau being anti oil as drop down a lot …

Probably the worst decision I ever saw in my life .
Make pay tenants horrible investment mistake by landlords….

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c...

Are they going to reduce rent when rates will go lower ?

I mean how in the hell a judge can make a decision like that ….

Their mortgage was owned by one of the big five banks. According to court documents, the landlords had a variable mortgage rate of 1.9 per cent, which stayed stable for months — until suddenly, it shot up. By July 2023, the mortgage interest rate had gone up to 6.65 per cent.

According to court documents, the financing costs for the home that year had shot up to about $80,000 — a big jump from the previous year's financing costs of about $46,000.

The tenants did not agree to the $500 rent increase. Some offered the landlords a $50 increase, and the landlords did not respond to that request.

Maybe I should intent a suit when my stock shares goes down against the bank and get my money back ?….

Bad management of capital is now the responsibilities of tenants lol.
Seriously get that judge clown out of there .

Ps: and seem the landlord is a bank, it’s even worst a decision because they should know better .

Pps: smell like a bribe more then anything else ..

Bad management

So read the whole story and yes the landlord speculated with a variable mortgage he is facing higher costs. I am not sure what going rental rates in Vancouver are but those units seem very cheap . Also note the judge instructed the rent increase be over two years which is 11.75% a year

Myself being a landlord with my Edmonton house and a carriage suite above my garage it can be stressful as your costs keep going up even with a locked in Mortgage. YEG Mayor id proposing a 13% property tax hike . Of course the landlord will pass on that increase

BC limiting rental increases at 3.5% is just nuts as well it should be tied to the property tax hike rate

Judge taking a bribe ?

Let me add the best tenants are immigrants from my experience and a buddies . Had a buddy that had 35 rental units and the worst are white folks and Indigenous . The best he said Filipino

He also mentioned there are professional renters that know how to rent and stay and never pay rent for 9 months

Tax is another matter .
But interest rates speculation being tied to rent by the landlord is pure bs .
It’s 100% the responsibilities of the owner not the renter .
