2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.

But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.

Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.

What do we like and not like?

Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

In my 8 BBM's I have zero percent Chiefs. I guess I'm not doing anymore BBM's since I am officially out of it.

I was planning on completely fading Kelce, but ended up with a few.

Pretty sure I have no Pacheco, and then a lot of Hollywood and Worthy with some Rice sprinkled in as well.

I think I'm gonna target Rice and Worthy heavily. They look unstoppable. Kelce will be fine but might leave us wanting more. Hollywood might be the odd man out(MVS).

I’m even with the field on Kelce. He’s a tough read. On the one hand, he doesn’t have the ceiling or expected production he used to. On the other hand, he costs a 4th instead of a 1st or a 2nd. He could still pay off his price, even if it’s not as good as he has been, and even if that leaves us wanting more.

I wouldn’t be surprised if KC runs a lot of 11 personnel with all 3 guys out there. Hollywood won’t have a high target volume, but he will have a lot of spike week shots, with both ceiling and floor games.

Just double checked my KC exposure

Hollywood 16%
Mahomes 10%
CEH 10%
Worthy 6%
Rice 6%
Toney 5%
Wiley 5%
Hardman 3%
Kelce 3%
Pacheco 2%
Prince 1%

So yeah definitely all-in on Mahomes, Rice, and Worthy from here on out.

I’m something like

18% Worthy
14% Rice
9% Mahomes
8% Kelce
7% Pacheco
6% Hollywood
4% CEH
1% Prince

I wonder if Carson Steele should be draftable.

Well I won't be getting my Chiefs stack in this one.

Looks soft.

Looks soft.

Yeah I decided to try Mike Clay's PPR rankings, and it screwed me up with how RB heavy he is, so I just put that one on Auto Draft and moved on to the next.

I have 56 pct rice
20 pct Hollywood
12 pct Xavier worthy

I was very high on rice when I figured he wasn’t getting suspended and his adp never moved back

Hot damn! Nice read haha. I didn’t draft him enough during that uncertainty, but I’ve been smashing in the 6th and 5th.

Here's my **** auto draft to give everyone a good laugh.

Other than missing out on a 3rd QB, feel great about this one.

From 1.12

QB - Mahomes, Baker

RB - JT, Najee, Pollard, Wright, Irving, Dillon

WR - Wilson, Rice, Godwin, Worthy, Palmer, Mims, McMilan, Whittington, P. Washington

TE - Ferguson, Muth, Sanders

by tarheels2222 P

I’m even with the field on Kelce. He’s a tough read.

Have pick #31 in my 12-team PPR

Kelce or LaPorta might be there.

Any strong opinions on this one?

Pushing it in redraft. TE is strong enough this year, you don’t have to lock in the top guy.

You **** me, I **** you. I like the team.

Kyler, Maye, Nix

Conner, Brooks, Moss, Ekeler, Gibson, Estime

Puka, Nico, Rashee, Flowers, Worthy, Legette, Dortch

Andrews, Muth

Starting a guillotine slow draft tomorrow

16tm .5ppr

I have consistently dominated most of these ppl in regular fantasy football but have lost in the first 3 weeks of guillotine every year for the last 3-4 yrs

Here’s my thoughts on strategy, am I thinking about it wrong?

1st rd - I have the 3rd pick and the 2nd pick told me they’re not taking CD. Is CD too risky with the hold out or do I just take him and pray that missing camp doesn’t destroy his early season production

Qb - my thoughts last year were to pay up at qb bc the floor of the top guys is so ridiculously high and this is a maximizing floor game. Should I try to get top 4 or push it to Dak/Love/purdy range?

Definitely fading the high upside rookies in this

Rb - my initial plan was Breece or Bijan at 3 but with CD falling I’ll likely take him there. If Kyren comes back to me in the 2nd, he feels like a great pick in this format but it seems unlikely. I think I may reach for Pacheco if Kyren is not there

Wr - planning hero rb so will likely take a lot of WRs early. fading all the rookies most likely unless they fall extremely far

Te - I think te is going to be top 8 minus Kittle but adding Njoku for me. Ferguson as a worst case scenario.

First DK Milly in a while. Missed out on Worthy who got drafted at 50, because that's a thing now.

1.09

QB - Mahomes, Bryce, Maye

RB - Walker, Javonte, Singletary, Gus, Irving, Dillon

WR - AJB, Deebo, Rice, Diontae, Hollywood, Polk, Chark, Baker

TE - Kincaid, Muth, Sanders

10 team, Super flex, half PPR.

Had the 3rd pick. People went RB and QB crazy the first couple rounds, so ended up with kind of a zero RB lineup.

Tyreek - Josh Allen and CMC went 1/2
Anthony Richardson
Kyler Murray - Stroud, Dak, Burrow, Tua went in between my two QBs
Olave -
Kupp - over DJ Moore, DK, Deebo
Kamara - last decent starter RB left. Not super hyped about having two NO guys.
Trey McBride
Tee Higgins- felt like this guy dropped way too far
Diontae Johnson
Zack Moss
Courtlan Sutton
Jerome Ford
Geno Smith
Houston D
McPherson

Feel pretty good about most the picks except Kupp over a bunch of other WRs.

Seems very good

Kupp over those guys is completely reasonable. I have Deebo as better but it’s basically the same tier

Tee and McBride prices are amazing imo

Not the biggest fan of the Kamara pick

I also would’ve taken CD over Reek, but not a huge deal either

With it being 16 teams, is there a multi week finals at the end?

I’d probably avoid any type of uncertainty, especially for your top draft picks. Those guys will end up on the waiver anyways, if the downside hits.

And for redraft, I’m still torn on if CMC, Breece and Bijan should just be the top 3, anyways.

One of the top 4-5 QBs seems like good strategy.

I’d probably try to lock up RB early with high snap share projected guys and ideally play RB in your flex. Especially with it being .5 PPR. You want all of the projectable volume on good offenses. Don’t really want to be chasing split backfields like the Steelers, Titans, Commanders, etc.

Chase receivers with nice floors like Olave, Kupp, etc. In theory, that’s CD too but there might be a chance he’s not even out there for w1.

The Texans and Bears guys don’t seem super attractive at the beginning. Neither does Aiyuk, Pickens, etc. types.

You’ll be able to add all the upside you need from the waiver along the way.

All that matters is being no worse than second to last each week.

What’s the starting lineup?

Lineup for guillotine is qb/2rb/2wr/te/flex/k/dst

We just end it early instead of a multi week final

Just did my first season long draft

$100 ypl auction (I do these basically as practice for my home league auctions)

Not the best draft. I messed up taking Waddle for $24, not bc that’s not good value, but bc other guys go for so much cheaper (Nabers and Rice both were under $10)

Rb 2 is pretty bad here too haha, hopefully my upside guys hit. Definitely a bit best ball brained here haha

$200 auction budget, .5 ppr, qb/2rb/2wr/te/k/dst

Qb - Hurts ($21)
Rb - CMC ($69 nice)
Rb - Chandler ($1)
Wr - CD ($61)
Wr - Waddle ($24)
Te - McBride ($13)
Flex - Worthy ($3)
K - Moody ($1)
DST - None will pick up
Bench - Nuk ($1)
Bench - JSN ($1)
Bench - BTJR ($1)
Bench - Corum ($1)
Bench - McLaughlin ($1)
Bench - Lloyd ($1)
Bench - B Allen ($1)

No one is running an auction this year ? I’d love to do an auction .

Holy hell you smashed on the $1 guys. $3 Worthy is real nice too.

Waddle for $24 when those others when for $10 is pain haha.

Fun team.

And I don’t do auctions, but I do have an opening in a soft home league if anyone is interested.

$100. Pays weekly high scorer weeks 1-14 for $25 each week. $375/$175/$100 1st/2nd/3rd in playoffs.

QB/2RB/2WR/TE/Flex/K/DST/6 bench/2IR.

The league is on Sleeper. The draft is a fast draft at 8:30 pm eastern on Sunday 9/1.

Let me know if you want to join.

Sure I’ll play
