2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.
Good luck to all, and may injuries and variance be kind.

Draft rookie WRs, especially those drafted highly. It really is that easy.
This is kick the tires time.
I think Davin’s tires are flat.
Superflex Dynasty TE premium - Drop at least 3
Jeudy, Kmet, Mooney, Palmer, Malik Washington, Tracy, Downs, Sean Tucker, Kendre Miller
I'll definitely take a few shares if he signs with DAL.
I think that's a much better environment for him than NYJ or BAL last year.
Sean Tucker for sure and maybe kendre miller .
Tucker, Palmer are the easy ones
Probably Malik for the last one but I could see kendre (id just rather wait and see on him)
Yeah, I think I’d keep wanting to find out with Kendre, knowing Allen is a dead man walking.
Shaidy shouting out the sims. Different sport, same result.
Sharks are out tonight. 8 rounds in and there's been ZERO value. I think the best I've seen so far is Watson was 5 spots past ADP.
I just did a Flock draft and there isn't a bad team in the pod. I guess that means I'm the fish.
Did the best I could. At least every QB is stacked and correlated.
QB - AR, Watson, Levis
RB - Achane, Najee, Singletary, Roschon, Shipley, Akers
WR - Wilson, Pittman, Flowers, Ridley, Addison, AD, Gabe, Malik
TE - Njoku, Sinnott, Juwan
It's tough because you have to pay some dough to get those sims. I don't think I will be doing the volume to make it worth my while.
I almost won one last year all by myself. I was in first winning 4k out of several thousand with about a minute left in a tied game. I had all the Jacksonville players and they were about to get the ball back. The other team threw a pick six and all the teams with the Jacksonville defense leapfrogged me.
This may have been two years ago. I don't want to talk about it. 😡
Might have better luck in the Schnauzer.
Oh yeah, it’s a big time and money investment. I think the bankroll has to be pretty large to survive the variance plus other costs.
And damn, that sounds like an annoying beat. That’s another reason I don’t care to fire DFS. The beats can have massive swings and would be so tilting.
Shaidy finished third in last year’s BBM. Dude has been smashing.
Also think he’s the one who mostly built the LegUp Sidekick.
They have micro stakes contests on FD. $0.25 with $3k to 1st.
It looks like SaberSim has a 5 day free trial. I might actually try it for the first month of the season, and see how it goes.
This was my best result a few years ago. Tied for 1st. No optimizer for this one. Just entered by hand lol
Nice bink. 1st out of 50k is sick.
And yeah, suppose I could fire the micros. Would just have to view it as a fun sweat and not worry about $s or hourly. And then if I happen to bink, good **** haha.
Let us know what you think of SaberSim. It seems legit.
More sims for everyone!
OK! It's time for me to go to bed. I just drafted a team with both QBs on the same bye and both TE's on the same bye. I also have 10 players on bye week 12. I better have a big lead heading into week 12.
One adp discrepancy I’m noticing is Jaleel McLaughlin is rated 185 and Jaylen Wright is rated 148 how is this possible ?? I believe Jaleel should be ranked much higher especially over a rookie back that’s possibly 3rd back on the depth chart.
Not sure what ADP source you’re looking at, but they’re way closer on UD and DK. A few picks apart on each.
Jaleel is decent and probably has a nice complimentary role. But he’s undersized and never has a chance to be a workhorse. He’s never going to be a goal line guy, so his path to TDs is tougher. His offense is worse.
Wright has way more upside at his size and in the scheme he plays in.
I'm not going out of my way for either one, but Wright is on the better offense, both rushing and overall. Players on teams expected to score a lot of points will be ranked higher than those on teams with offenses that are expected to be bottom tier.
Estime has been getting more run and hype so it's possible both Wright and Jaleel will end up as RB3 on their team's depth chart.
On DK jaylen Wright 148
Jaleel 185
Even kendre miller is ranked higher , tell me why ?
Undersized? We all seen what Darren sproles did in a Payton offense I just say why second guess it
When has estime played with the 1st team? I didn’t recall him getting more meaningful snaps in preseason or training camp news. It’s been all Jaleel . And that’s not always true, the players whose the most explosive even on lesser teams tend to outweigh their circumstances
Sorry I’m going off of original adp rankings and projections . I apologize but the point still stands that Jaleel went in undervalued I believe he’ll be a great back in zero back teams
