2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of January. Through 95 drafts, my exposures are below. The player order is based on current ADP. Some of these ADPs have been quite fluid over the last 3 months, with FAs and rookies moving the most. Most of my exposures are structurally driven, rather than player take driven. Especially at this point in the game, pre-draft.
But there are some players I simply couldn't avoid going heavy on, like McBride and Andrews in the 5th round. I'm actually quite heavy all of the top TEs, minus LaPorta and Kincaid. I also tried to make sure I had at least 1 TE by the end of round 8, with Ferguson being the last of the group.
Also took approaches like attacking Nabers and Odunze harder than MHJ, at their relative prices.
What do we like and not like?
Rookie season is also upon us. Redraft is still 3.5 months away from heating up, but there will be rookie drafts, dynasty startups, and best ball drafts leading up until then.

I just have trouble believing the upside case.
I just drafted Zamir at 95. I like him a lot there.
Zamir is better in best ball bc he has a decent base projection and is cheap. He’s most likely a 2 down back though on a team that likely won’t score a lot
It’s counter intuitive but in best ball getting those 12pt games is valuable, whereas in season long you really want to hit home runs on guys and keep churning the wire until you get there
I only took him bc I may need some production until I can get a good back
I don’t really draft him in best ball though either tbh (6%) bc I like pollard, Warren, etc better
So not only did I accidentally enter a slow draft what feels like 3 weeks ago. I'm also in round 12 and just now realizing it's a Week 1-4 tournament.
So my DET/SF stack is pretty useless.
In an auction draft Wednesday where if everyone kept the keepers they were supposed to, only 1 1st rd pick would be available, but someone kept Mahomes for $30 over CMC for $60 and another person seemingly forgot they can keep Puka for $5, so now AJB, CMC, Puka are all available
I’m keeping Chase for $35 (god I hope he signs) and Rashee Rice for $1 (thought he was $5 but turns out only $1) and I start with more money than everyone els
The deadline just passed and someone decided to keep swift for $6 over Achane for $5, tank for $5, and G Wilson for $11

I think Malik was and I would have taken him if I didn't already have Wright and Jonnu.
I have some shares of Whittington, mostly in stacks, but I'm not a big believer that the Rams will strike lighting in a bottle 2 years in a row with a rookie WR.

I mean you coulda had a major tua stack along with hill and if waddle gets hurt you woulda had a nice piece and if they rest mostert down the stretch that woulda been fire .. I might try that lol

Like before, you really need 3 QBs here. In the event that Russ does get benched/injured you're in a lot of trouble going into week 14 unless you somehow have a huge lead. Even then, you won't be hard to overtake when you're putting up 0 at QB.
The main issue is that it doesn't look like you have any value. If I'm tracking correctly, you drafted Jayden in the 5th round?
It's nice to get the players you like, but sometimes you have to take what the board is giving you. I just went triple RB to start a draft in the Milly because I got such a good price on my RB2 and RB3.

Nah the fifth I took a reach for Brian Thomas jr the board wasn’t going to have him available at 6-8 like he usually would have been so I took him in the fifth I didn’t take Daniels until maybe round 8 or 9 I believed .. and the thing is later in the drafting for best ball I’m just out for a target of my guys . They say draft like you’re right I’m putting that to good use lol

Not a huge deal having Daniels unstacked, but having him with Terry or LMC would've made this team even nicer.

Love Jayden Daniels terry LMC along with breece hall . I even like brooks and shakir. Not sure what schultz and jonnu brings because shultz could be fazed out with the diggs acquisition. Jonnu I have a hard gauge on because the dolphins throw the ball a lot with 3 wr sets and rarely look at tight ends even when they had mike gesiki whose a decent pass catcher

You could have stopped after two QB's but if you got Darnold late it makes sense with the stack.
I don't like the Rice pick even with Herbert. He barely made the team.
I don't like Musgrave outside of Love stacks and even then I prefer waiting for Kraft.
Overall this is a good team that I think could have been better.

You need all three RB's to go nuclear for this to work. It could happen.
The WR's ended up pretty good. Who is thrash?
The TE's are not great. I think Cade Stover is gonna earn some playing time and could eat into Schultz. I prefer arbitrage Musgrave...Tucker Kraft.
