Very deep $2/5 game, effective stacks $2,300. I am new to this table don't know any of the players but have seen the limper play fishy One limper to me on the btn with T9c I open to $20 get called from the sb and the limper calls (utg).
Pot ~60 Flop: 6c,7c,2h Sb checks, limper donks $30 ( he is not a thinking player) I just call on the btn with my combo draw. Sb CR to $130, limper calls I overcall.
Eff stack 5K. Hero/villain are the two biggest stacks at the table and have been playing quite a bit against each other. Villain is a LAG opponent playing down in stakes (typically a 10/10/25 player).
Preflop: Villain (UTG+3) raises to 35 Folds to hero (BB) with Q♥Q♦ Hero 3 bet BB to 150. Villain calls.
These are acronyms that you'll see often in posts ITF (In this Forum). If you think of one that should be added, or run in to one that isn't on the list, please post ITT (In This Thread), and we'll add it.
2p - Two Pair 3-bet - A re-raise. The third bet on a given street 3b - 3-bet 3! - 3-bet 4-bet - a re-re-raise. The fourth bet on a given street 5-bet - come on. You get the pattern. o - (eg JTo) The cards are not suited
I am thinking that the biggest likelihood here is that I am probably up against a flush. There is the possibility of 2 pair or a set however I think that most of the t
Villain (UTG+1) is relatively new to the table, no significant reads but I've seen him before at these stakes. Seems to be a capable, thinking player. Young-middle aged asian guy.
UTG limps Villain raises to 50 UTG+1 Hero calls with 2♣2♥ in CO. SB calls. BB folds. Limper folds.
Sort of an offshoot topic. I've never been on a cruise but a guy in my room recently went on one to St. Kitts and said he played poker the entire time and that it was the easiest winnings of his life. Is it possible to pay for your entire cruise by crushing old geezers at the SS poker table?
Playing four handed at my local casino, 3 Regulars and 1 Spanish "fish", this guy bluffs a lot and can have anything..
relevant HH vs him, UTG straddles he makes it 30 with 23o in SB, I 3bet to 100 with AJs in BB he calls, I remember I lost the bare minimum as the final board was Q42 A 2 with a flush and I value betted river small and he just called afraid of the flush or something like that..
Hero is 30s white guy. I probably have an aggressive image compared with the rest of the table.
Villain is a middle aged white woman. Prior to today she was unknown to me. She is mostly passive and pretty loose. I did see her 3bet 99 from the BTN in one hand.
Hero and Villain played a big pot last orbit. Hero opens QQ UTG. Two players call. Villain 3bets to $45 from BTN. SB (fishy old guy) cold
I was playing some $1/$3 at my local casino last night:
PREFLOP
Folds to the LJ, a new young player who's finding his feet. He opens to $12 and the C/O and BTN both call. I'm in the SB with K♣J♣ - and figure this is a good opportunity to squeeze, so I raise to $70. Only the button calls. He has $320 behind and I have him covered.
FLOP ($152 after rake)
T♥ 7♦ 6♣
I've whiffed, but I have backdoors and overcards, and I've seen villain make sever
8 handed, 500 cap, utg limps, hero in utg+1 raises to 18 with 4d4h, utg+2 calls, CO calls, BB calls (~500 main villain, male around age 45, put together, wearing a Packers shirt), and limper calls
Flop (90) Jh4c5s
Checks to hero who makes it 30, folds to BB who calls, utg folds
Turn (150) 8s BB check, hero bets 145, BB looks at cards and ponders over it for about 20 seconds and calls
River (440) 3s
BB has roughly 320 to 325 behind BB checks, hero??
Im unsure if we should be betting this flop im thinking with K or Q of clubs I should
Turn Ks (8.5bb) Straddle bets 5bb Hero calls
River 4s (18.5bb) Straddle bets 15bb Hero ??
On this river I was partly wanting to fold since it looks so much like I have a k and my opponent is still barreling, But I also dont have a lot of strong hands
