Netflix "Watch Instantly"

Netflix "Watch Instantly"

I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.

The best show none of you have watched, Interview with the Vampire, is back for season 2. First season was phenomenal.

Interesting modern adaptation, but I've forgotten how Season 1 ended.

The actual best show no one is watching, is Pantheon.

"A sophisticated treatise on consciousness and mortality, this absorbing mind-bender earns its own place in the pantheon of exemplary animated television."

Only available in Australia, for some reason AMC has it buried. Available by slightly nefarious means, but give it a try if you have the opportunity.

That looks great

Yea, I watched a few episodes of Pantheon, it's good and then they took it all away so never finished it. lol

Love Shane Gillis so I look forward to this and hope its as good as his series on his website

Broken YouTube Link

I really liked his Netflix standup and SNL episode this season. Habitual line stepper, but he’s good at it. Looking forward to the show

Has Ricky Stanicky been talked about here?

I had never heard of it until yesterday and it’s pretty damn funny

This line cracked me up but was said so fast I wonder how many people heard it:

He has curly eyes, Long blond lips,. He talks with a limp…

So... Man In Full... That was a.... A show...

I had to struggle to get through it but I'd heard that the ending was bat ****, but in the worst possible way. For the show itself, it was a "satire" that forgot to be satirical, which made the ending ridiculously stupid instead of stupidly ridiculous. It is not worth watching at all, but it's worth knowing how it ended, so I'll put it in spoilers.

Spoiler
Show

Jeff Daniels is able to live another day and the main enemy, still holding a grudge, works with his ex-wife to take Jeff's prize possession from him. Jeff bursts into her house and walks in on the enemy and his ex-wife banging. She's sent off while they "have a discussion" and since the enemy took two performance enhancing pills, he becomes his own "Man In Full" while they argue. Jeff grabs him by the throat, and since earlier in the show, his hand locked up, it does here as well. As he is choking the enemy inadvertently to death, he himself, has a heart attack and also dies.

And that's it... There was a decent sub-plot that ended well, but it didn't really belong in this show. It was probably the only reason I stuck around instead of skipped around.

Has anyone else seen the three-episode "Secrets Of the Octopus," a National Geo production on Disney+?

It is absolutely magical. These creatures are so alien and yet so intelligent and interesting...very cool show.

Awesome will check it out. I'm not a conspiracy nut, but do like the idea that aliens are regularly visiting Earth - they just ignore us because we're stupid, and hangout with the octopuses and mushrooms instead.

You might enjoy Resident Alien on Netflix.

I really enjoy Shane Gilis's stand-up but watched the first episode of Tires and it was god-awful. Will not watch more episodes.

^^^same

Guess I have a warped sense of humor, I liked Shane’s new show, had plenty of laughs to keep me watching

I like Shane's "Tires". More anti-woke comedy please.

I binged the 6 episodes, some good laughs, I need Season 2, it won't be until next year though.

Lol watch d like 20 minutes. Wasn't for me.

Looks awful. Best part of the trailer was Stavros.

New South Park special on paramount is great. Hardest I’ve laughed at SP in awhile.

That was great. They rarely miss

Godzilla minus zero is now on Netflix. Absolutely a must watch. The best Godzilla movie I’ve ever seen by a wide margin.

the woman reminded me of the micro forum and the journal forum. Delusional people telling themselves positive things after a decade of failure 😃 It's a really good look into how lots of people think.

Ditto. Wife and I watched it. Thought it was very good.

Hit Man is pretty good
