Netflix "Watch Instantly"

Netflix "Watch Instantly"

I just recently rejoined Netflix and was pleased to see they have added a "Watch Instantly" feature where you can stream a movie over the internet. The selection of movies/shows is subpar, but it's free baby! Well, free as in no extra charge. You can watch 1 hour for every dollar/month your subscription is and it doesn't affect your queued/shipped movies at all. Minuses are that you have to be running Windows and Internet Explorer, but the quality is great! I have a garbage laptop, but it looks the same as a DVD to me and it hasn't skipped/paused/hiccuped once so far.

Baby Reindeer cleaned up at the Emmy's, the male and female lead both won and the series.

Jean Smart for Hacks and Jodie Foster for Night Country.

Well deserved for Shogun

I thought Jodie Foster was terrible.

This season of Industry has been great, another best of the series episode tonight.

This particular episode was being called their “Uncut Gems” and the following episode was sort of their “This Is Not For Tears”. Last night’s episode is setting up for them to have their “Ozymandias” by the end of the season and I couldn’t be more psyched!

Yea, I see the last episode got a rating of 9.5 on IMDB with 94 votes, which is the highest of any of the series.

Now the next episode is the penultimate episode, so that should be a really good one.

Nöthin' But A Good Time: The Uncensored Story of '80S Hair Metal

3-part Doc on P+, if you were an 80's Hair Metal fan then this is good.

I watched the first 2 and would’ve finished it if it wasn’t 5am when I finished the 2nd. It’s so freaking fun! The animations are a great touch.

I was a teenager at the time but I started sneaking out to go to shows when I was 15 and saw pretty much all of the main bands of that time. Some multiple times. I started getting into way heavier stuff right after GnR’s put out their EP but I still kept a toe or 2 in all that stuff. **** still holds up for the most part!

Yea, the hair metal and the 90's music was great, not many good songs come out these days.

A couple times a year I get a month of Amazon music and of course the several hundred songs I have saved are great but there is rarely any good new ones to add to the mix and I spend a lot of time searching. lol

Looking forward to the new FX show tonight, Aaron Hernandez American Sports Story, it should be good.

If by some chance you are not familiar with the story, maybe it's better to not look it up and be surprised.

Please let us know how it is.

I enjoyed the Netflix documentary from a few years ago.

Watched them both, really good.

The comments on X are hilarious. #AmericanSportsStory

Chimp Crazy was, well, crazy.

For anyone who's seen it, the directors were just on the Joe Rogan podcast. Don't normally listen to him but was an interesting interview.

Also, Rogan + Chimps, he's in his element! He also managed to get one of his other favourite topics, psychedelics, involved, but sadly no aliens...

i used to hate on rogan so much but he's really good at interviewing people because he's not afraid to look dumb

i do hate how someone can say something like "and then aliens built the washington monument" and he'll do his "oh wow i never heard of that before but it makes so much sense" but if you ignore the carte blanche he gives the crazies and realize he does that with all his guests then you see how well the system works when he has a normal hinged guest

Nah, Rogan sucks.

Final ever episode of The Grand Tour. Standard car silliness and banter as they travel across Zimbabwe.

I watched the first season of The Industry because of what has been said about the latest season here, but found it semi boring and ridiculous. Is it really gonna get that much better it's worth to keep going?

Yes, I didn't really find season 1 or part of season 2 that great.

Like I mentioned before if you want to get where it's really good, you can jump to season 2 finale and beyond.

First episode of The Penguin was solid. Cristin Milioti was good.

Got to wait 10 days for episode 2 though, when it moves to normal night Sunday.

Ooooh, Cristin Millioti is in it? Did not know that. Lover her.

Oh that's cool, I thought it was a movie that I most likely wouldn't have watched.

Cristin Milioti is my pick to definitely pull off a career EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony) if she keeps spreading her talents around.

I saw her on Broadway, she was so good, and can really sing.

I finished the new season of the anthology "Monster" on Netflix called Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

It was good, not great, of course Javier Bardem was great as the dad. I would give it a 7.2.

The first season was about Dahmer and it was good.
