So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?
I wonder if anyone can tell us with a straight face how that support is going to look after the tapes of him using the N-word while working on The Apprentice come out, though.

Well, sure. Don't get me wrong, as I said earlier, I have little faith in the US electorate not doing something bizarre at this point. I'm just not convinced this verdict moves the needle much in either direction.

There are definitely people that may have been convinced to vote Trump for whom this is a disqualifier now.
There are also definitely people who might've sat this one out who will now certainly go out and pull a lever for The Don, 34 time felon. For the lulz, of course.
A large portion of DJT support comes from people disillusioned with the uniparty and RINOs. It's Trump on the ballot or the country completely disintegrates in short order.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Somehow this inevitable outcome was avoided in the last 4 years:
Burning down innocent businesses and inciting looting is much worse than demanding accountability from corrupt politicians for allowing a fraudulent election to get certified that will ensure the demise of the Republic and usher in a worldwide Communist technocracy.

Anyway I’d be surprised if a conviction got him more votes. 100% of MAGA is going to vote for him regardless. It’s not like some red hatted clown going to these rallies was going to sit this out but now that he’s been convicted it’s a bridge too far!

To inso’s point ya I’m sure a couple of people will vote for him now for the lolz but it’s definitely more likely people who were leaning to voting for him won’t vote at all or will vote RFK or someone else.
I think what’s really going to be apparent is trump is now actually staring down the barrel of a situation where his options are to either become president or die in prison. And that makes him a pretty scary option as far as what he’ll now do to get power, what he’ll do when he gets it and what he’ll do to stay in power and I do believe, also to inso’s point, this will be the absolute line a not insignificant amount of would be trump voters won’t cross
