How long does it take the bullet to travel that distance? I'm surprised there is time for him to move his head after the trigger is pulled. Or is he moving his head before the trigger is pulled? ELI5 pls.

That movement doesn't take long, and could happen anytime between when the shooter decides to take his shot to when the bullet hits. It wouldn't need to take any longer to move one's head than to pull a trigger.

by Bluegrassplayer P

That makes it look like two bullets hit his ear. Is that likely to have happened?

I have no clue how accurate that is.

by housenuts P

I don't know what your definition of often is, but only 30% of starters were taken in the first round. 70% of starters were taken outside the first round.

Yeah, rosters have like 50 players and you have to field 22 starters and you only get one pick per round. This isn't exactly rocket science.

50% of All Pro players are selected in the first round. Thats an incredible hit rate

I would not trust that account sight unseen

As the shooter was pulling the trigger he needed to be moving his head. The fact those 2 things happened at the exact same time is wild.

you are the one making the swipes, but yet again fail to see that because of your smug false superiority that clouds your brain into mush where you honestly think saying men are physically advantaged over women in things like security detail is mysoginistic

and you still haven't pointed to a single post that is because then your attack would have something tangible attached to it and everyone would see through your facade of bs - that is why

Lol what on earth are you rambling on about? I noticed a pattern on twitter. I posted about it here. If that wasn't clear in the first post it should be ABSOLUTELY clear in the second. I have no idea why you have gotten so insanely sensitive and feel the need to go on these insane rambly personal attacks to my posts that have nothing to do with you.

dude, you're just addicted to being a judgemental smarmy prick

take a break

The Secret Service Director said it herself.

"I'm very conscious as I sit in this chair now, of making sure that we need to attract diverse candidates and ensure that we are developing and giving opportunities to everybody in our workforce, and particularly women," Cheatle said.

Rather than hiring the best candidates for the job, she wants to hire a diverse work force. Reap what you sow I guess.

Although it turns out not just on right wing twitter but here in the thread there are people just shitting on the idea of trying to hire woman into the SS as well.

How sad.

Ty. I'm not on twitter, is the right wing derposhere saying baby jesus done it?

I was asking you what it means to be a registered republican

It means you're registered to vote. It means when you registered to vote, you clicked a box saying you choose the Republican Party as your preferred political party. That's all. It doesn't mean anything beyond that.

by MoViN.tArGeT P

What's the process of staying a registered republican?

Do nothing. You would have to actively update your voter registration to change it.

by MoViN.tArGeT P

is there a monthly fee?

No.

by MoViN.tArGeT P

I think in most county's if your a member of a political party you donate a monthly fee.

I assume you mean most countries, but either way, this is irrelevant. You don't have to donate to the Republican Party, Republican candidates, or Republican causes to be a registered Republican.

by MoViN.tArGeT P

but if that's true in America why has this not been brought up.

It's not true in America.

by MoViN.tArGeT P

If this is not true in America is it not possible he simply joined at 17 and forgot about it never to caredagain?

Yes, this is possible. It's also possible he remembered it, but his party affiliation didn't mean that much to him.

by MoViN.tArGeT P

Because all signs point to him be apolitical

Why is this so hard for you to believe? You want his motives to be political; maybe they were simply psychological.

Have you ever seen Taxi Driver? On some level, that movie is about an attempted political assassination that gets thwarted. Watch it and tell me what you think Travis Bickle's political motives were.
you honestly think saying men are physically advantaged over women in things like security detail is mysoginistic
Oh hold on - here is ANOTHER rando in the thread who turned the assassination attempt of the president and all the myriad security problems it revealed into some culture war discussion about women being physically disadvantaged. Yikes, that shoe sure is fitting multiple feet!

As is the shoe about being a judgemental smarmy prick. The only one who immediately dived into some long deeply personal deeply judgement post was you buddy.

If the answer is "Jodie Foster", I think there are some real life examples you could have chosen from.

dude, you have only posted slander and insults here, this is embarrassing for you

In Taxi Driver, the would-be assassin even supported that candidate, having volunteered to work on his election campaign.

I'm confused. Wasn't the person who randomly came at me being all deeply personal with the "slander and insults"....uh.....you?

Like buddy, I wasn't even talking to you or about you in any way, yet you still went off into the looney lands. Again.

rickroll & uke's friendly banter is a welcome sign that 2+2 is finally back to normal after the traumatic and almost tragic events of this week.

maybe he just wanted to cosplay the film?

not once did i ever say you went after me, i even specifically stated that you were intentionally vague about it

you don't need to be a victim to understand you get off on attacking and slandering people

by uke_master P

Pretty ****ing sad that the right wing crazies are trying to turn the assassination into some anti-woman nonsense. Like of all the outrageous SS fails in the attempt, that one of the people surrounding trump in the iconic fist photo happened to be a woman is like 99th on the list of bad ****. But of course it is turned into some culture war moment.

nowhere here are you talking about twitter like you claim you are now

people had literally just been commenting about that woman

it's obvious you were attacking all those people as right wing crazies who hate woman

then when pressed for examples you go to the "i was kidding" defense

you know who else does the i was kidding defense don't you?

not a good look but par for the course for you

First they vaguely attacked the phantom right wing crazies, and I did not speak out—because I was not a right wing crazy.

Then they vaguely attacked the phantom misogynists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a misogynist.

Then they vaguely discussed the culture war, and I did not speak out—because only idiots talk about the culture war.

Then they said they were just kidding and talking about twitter all along —and there was no one left to speak because by then they'd ruined the thread.

Not completely true. I'm a registered democrat which allows me to vote in democratic primaries. I can't vote in republican primaries.

lay off the drugs, man

Really? Are you really drunk when you act like a crazed right wing lunatic or something? Maybe I'm confusing you with someone else.

this varies from state to state where it's sometimes open and sometimes only registered party members vote

it's not unheard of for people who despise a particular candidate on a party they wouldn't vote for to register for said party to vote for "a lesser evil" in the primary, i've known people who were in closed states and voted in both primaries by switching their party in between

i checked and pennsylvania does not have open primaries, you need to be a registered party member to vote

I was a registered republican for many years. It's pointless in NY. I switched maybe 6 years ago? If a dem is going to run for president I'd at least like a say in who it's gonna be.

Ah, maximising EV. Good work.
