I think DeSantis might have at least some supporters that would go to Trump. Granted there shouldn't be many, because I don't think there's a whole lot of policy difference. I don't think as things currently stand, she has any chance. The slight glimmer of hope I see is that if an "anyone but Trump" sentiment ever materializes, now it won't be divided. The problem is there just doesn't seem to be enough time left for such a thing to happen.

Objectively, they are not in any way the same in terms of destruction. So the fact that in my mind if I was forced to vote that I would have a hard time choosing goes to show the effectiveness of Western propaganda.

Or the effectiveness of Russian propaganda on you to be so confused :p

i have no idea where people think more republican Haley votes are going to come from.

Educated people on the right desperately need to convince themselves that the GOP is about *something* other than nativism and Trump worship, so they've convinced themselves that there's a quiet group of sensible anti-Trump Republican voters out there. I look forward to seeing the excuses after she loses her own state of SC to a senile gameshow host.

that's what new hampshire is. independents voting in the primaries. and she's still going to lose bigly.

what's not to love about her, she is indian and a woman so you can feel progressive but she's also a republican doing her darndest to cosplay as a white woman so you know she's not going to ruin the country and make this country unrecognizable

much like how a lot of the people who go out of their way to have "a black friend" coincidentally make friends with one who is culturally white having grown up and gone to school in predominantly white communities

Blows my mind to see so many people of color voting for trump .

this is obvious trolling

you absolutely know who victor would support in an upcoming election

I can't imagine Victor voting for a major party candidate in any future U.S. presidential elections. I'm sure he has voted for Democrats in the past, but at this point, I honestly think he would rather watch the world burn than try to work within the existing U.S. system.

I guess DeSantis finally woke up.

DeSantis was a bad candidate with a lousy message, as unlikeable in person as he was on television.
He was, in the memorable words of GOP consultant Stuart Stevens, “Ted Cruz without the personality.”

Trump gave them the show. DeSantis was stiff, shrill, unlikeable and, worst of all, boring.

Why the end of DeSantis' 2024 campaign is only the beginning of his political humiliation.

+1

I'm not sure he's ever voted. I thought he said something to that effect in the past, or perhaps he was making a reference to more recent elections.

I expect even Victor will agree with this.

Edit to add: I guess not. :p

Watch the world burn? I dunno man, I think not voting for the guy doing genocide and a ground invasion of Yemen is the opposite of that. Oh and don't forget the Ukraine proxy way but thankfully it seems the Biden admin has forgotten it.

I voted for Kerry and Biden lol. woat voting record of a millenial.

The worst presidential campaign in American history?

Micky kicked DeSantis in the balls, and now they sing in the same octave.

It wasn't even the worst campaign of the 21st century. Jeb's campaign was worse. I could argue that the campaigns of Rick Perry, Kamala Harris, Howard Dean, and several others also were worse.

I don’t know if it was the Desantis campaign, it was just how fundamentally unlikeable the person of Ron Desantis was. Don’t think we’ve ever seen a “top tier” campaign flame out like this one.

Jeb is a good comparison

My point wasn't specific to Biden or the current election. You have an unshakeable conviction that both major U.S. political parties are evil incarnate. Unless you change your perspective, I think it is all but certain that you will have nothing but contempt and hatred for every major party nominee for the presidency for the rest of your life. Your reasons will vary, but your contempt and hatred will be a constant.

wreckem, without limits that list is meaningless

are they booking $100 wagers or $50k

Jeb had the biggest war chest and was perceived to be the favorite during the summer. He hung around until South Carolina, but it was obvious even before the Iowa caucus that his campaign was circling the drain.

Jeb was seen as weak, boring and feckless and saddled by name and birth to the worst president of anyone's life at the time. Maybe the closest guy to just being so gross, weird and unlikable was Rudy G.

I dont disagree with that perspective. I disagree with the contention that not supporting a Dem (or Repub) is akin to wanting to watch the world burn. in fact, I would claim the opposite.

heh as if on queue
