When I click on a news link here most times it’s blocked due to a policy that Justin put in place that social media must pay CDN news media for posting it . Since most have refused they block it .
No post that is blocked tells me why but 99.9 % of the time it’s due to the policy

Bill C-18 requires precisely two companies to pay for links to Canadian news sites - Meta and Google. Google eventually agreed to a deal, leaving Meta as the only company the bill would impact.
The only links I've ever had a problem with are paywalled sites and Youtube videos. The paywalled sites are of course a problem for anyone who doesn't have a paid account on said sites. The Youtube issue has existed for years, and is simply an issue of attempting to play a video in a country where the content isn't licensed. Pretty standard.
