US Immigration Crisis

US Immigration Crisis

I didn’t see an immigration thread so I figured I would add one. This problem seems to be worsening everyday of the current admin. Hopefully some of our new elected officials can help with this. Mr. Luttrell is a great start

Wow 5 migrants beat up two police officers and within hours 4 are out on no cash bail .
The moment they were arrested deport them

Senate democrats it’s the GOPs fault . No it’s Bidens open border policies

Whatabout Abbott. Pretty sure these guys were bused to NYC from Texas by Abbott. I think it's his fault.

I am looking forward to you providing a link or proof that this occurred. Which we know you can not. So you are making up shxt as usual .Reality is remain in Mexico was a good policy

WOW. They were kicking the officers in the head. The cops could have shot and killed them and they would have been justified legally and morally.

When I heard they were out on bail I assumed the video was going to show a lot of pushing and shoving, but there is a reason that kicks to the head of someone on the ground is illegal in the UFC.

If they were bused to NYC from texas I would say texas did the eight thing. If you can't deport them then the least texas can do is get them out of their state.

Whatabout the normal Losern **** you make up all the time? Have you produced any videos yet?

wait i was under the impression that asylum seekers who trespassed the border were an economic resource for the country, so why are you condemning Texas generosity in sharing that resource with other fellow states that aren't as lucky as Texas and don't get as many free resources?

I'd be fine if they came here, but I don't like people being shoved on busses and taken places against their will because I love freedom.

Is that happening though? I'd have to imagine there would be some legal pushback if that were the case.

So your justification for your lies is but you lie? Hmm what do we call that .

Back to the insults .

I'll be pleasantly surprised if people are just given a choice of staying in Texas or taking a bus wherever. I keep looking and I just see it being described as people being "sent" without really getting into whether the people being sent know what's happening and if it's optional.

If they can just stay in Texas if they don't want to go to NY, then awesome and very generous of the Texans.

by lozen P

So your justification....

But whatabout Hunter's laptop, his artwork, Joe not back acknowledging his grandchild, and the horde approaching the border?

Was talking with a Guatemalan guy a couple days ago whose brother is in the US without the proper documents, and he was saying that if Trump won the election that his brother would likely leave the US out of fear of being deported-- which I thought was a bit interesting because it wasn't like there were mass deportations in 2017.

They were lied to and given false promises of help if they got on the bus.

A lot of people talked about leaving the US if Trump won.

Maybe they are given a choice. It's a problem that it's illegal to hire them, but that's not Texas' fault.

Yeah sure perhaps in 2017 when the situation was a bit more unknown.

Point being that the Guatemalan in question might not actually leave either. If it actually looks like mass deportations are happening then, sure, but if not, people don't often uproot their lives based on the mad Tweets of the Idiot King.

I'm close with someone who works for Denver Housing Authority and they told me busses have been coming in from Texas and dropping migrants off in town. Don't know if there are articles on it but I trust the source.

Do you know if the people on the bus were given a choice? (also not lied to about where they were going, what awaited them, what would happen if they didn't go, etc). That's the question.

I'm seeing some anecdotes of people going because they have family in the area, which is great. It's just like how most of the people came to the US and how this became such a successful country.

Notice how Bill the Butcher sees "trespassers", same as some people in this thread?

I wish more people in the country actually loved freedom. Don't just say the words. Learn the meaning of them.

I don't know any of that background, just that busses are coming in from Texas and dropping migrants off near homeless shelters.

So it's false that democrat led cities and states treat asylum seekers better?

Unless the governor is lying explicitly about these matters, yes it's fully voluntary

/The migrants who are sent to other cities are apprehended and background checked by immigration officials at the Texas-Mexico border before they are released. The bus trips are voluntary and require migrants to sign a consent waiver, according to the governor’s office./

"Every migrant bused or flown to New York City did so voluntarily, after having been authorized by the Biden Administration to remain in the United States," Abbott said in a statement. "As such, they have constitutional authority to travel across the country that Mayor Adams is interfering with. If the Mayor persists in this lawsuit, he may be held legally accountable for his violations."

https://www.texastribune.org/2024/01/04/....

Texas has no obligation to guarantee free transport to anywhere, but if it chooses to offer transport to place X, and the asylum seekers accepts that, walk me through what's bad in this mutually voluntary arrangement.

Yes they can stay in Texas, they aren't being forcibly deported.
