President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden

Right now, we need VP Biden, we need him to step down and drop out so Bernie sanders can save this country from this global crisis just like FDR.

A thread to debate the efficacy of a Joe Biden Presidency in the midst of a global pandemic and impending Great Recession/Depression.

Where is Joe Biden? Can he beat Trump and is he even trying to? What would a Joe Biden Presidency look like in these times? Where is he and why isn't he leading?

We were both responding to this comment from chillrob

I never heard anyone questioning the 2016 election results or calling Trump an illegitimate president. Claiming that there were improper outside influences on some voters does not imply either of those.

by Luciom P

Man your claim was they didn't talk about election fraud after the election.

My claim is that they did for 4 years constantly, using the house for it.

I don't consider investigating a definite problem like foreign influence into our national elections has anything to do with claiming someone was fraudulently elected and constantly talking about a stolen election.

Trump was elected according to the rules in 2016. I think the rules are bad and should be changed and that foreign influence might have helped him, but I didn't seek a change in the results, and neither did anyone else.

I am no fan of a "trifecta" either. The less the government is able to get done the better and having one party run all 3 offices is scary.

I posted yesterday when someone claimed dems didn't encourage violence and I think dems announcing they will pay rioters bail if they get caught rioting is another way they encouraged violence.

I still have seen no evidence of this and strongly doubt it happened, certainly among prominent democrats.

If they did do that, I agree that was bad, though still not the same as calling for violence.

One is currently vice president.

And please stop the cable news references. I don't watch them. I just have a well crafted Twitter feed.

I don't use Twitter either.

What you posted here does not say that Harris paid anyone's bail, or even contributed to the fund.

I would also disagree with her talking about the fund, but that still does not fit your previous claim.

An extreme right wing AG appointed a special counsel to investigate pro right wing 2016 election interference because the evidence was so overwhelming.

I will be dancing in the streets ( living room ) when Trump wins and Democrats as clueless as they are go how ?

Lol

Oh yes, the ol' "are go how ?"

If humans go extinct, this will probably be the inscription on the cosmic headstone.

Joe Biden again will not be doing the traditional Superbowl interview again
Last year the excuse it was Fox
This year CBS
Must be scared of a real interview

"traditional" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that post.

"traditional" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that post.

Well since 2004 . How many years do we need for a tradition? 30,60, 100??

Why the **** would the POTUS get interviewed at a football game? Does he usually talk about football? If so, that's really stupid.

but if he doesn't complete his march madness bracket how can u vote for him?

Yes it's exactly as traditional as having a black president ie only 1 person in history did it every year he was in office and it was Obama.

Well then I expect the interview as I've heard that Obama is really still running the show.

Its CBS he can reach a ton of voters and secure a soft interview. Not sure what he would be scared of.

Is it fair to say Joe finally has the USA in another war ?

To get yourself in front of the most eyeballs you possibly can? It's an election year, too.

Literally a third of the entire US population will be watching. Companies are charged literal millions of dollars per second of air time for this kind of exposure. POTUS gets it for free.

I've never even heard of this, it can't be that much of a tradition. I didn't realize it had been that long since I watched a super Bowl, but I guess maybe it has.

i've watched all of them during that time frame, am fairly politically aware, and also didnt ever hear of it until it was brought up in this thread.

So Biden is passing on the ancient tradition of getting a free campaign ad?

And this bothers lozen.

Its clear they just can not risk putting him out there due to his cognitive decline . Funny how upset you get when Trump doesn't honor the tradition of releasing his taxes but defend Biden when he doesn't honor traditions .
