[Bodog/Bovada/Ignition] Unofficial Thread

This thread is to separate the Bovada-related comments and questions from the Official Bodog Support Thread, which is there only for questions or concerns about anything Bodog-branded.

There is no official Bovada Rep at 2+2 at this time, but perhaps if discussion is effected in a civil manner, one might arrive in due course?

Thank you.

Are there bots at .25/.50 blitz or do i just punt?

Yes

If you own a good bot, why wouldn’t you employ it on multiple accounts at every level? The answer is you would.

I mean you'd probably employ a bot at whatever highest stake it could beat. But if you had a bot that won at 50NL and lost at 100NL, you'd definitely deploy it at 50NL.

So, I think a bunch of the colluders were possibly banned during the week, or they certainly disappeared for maybe a week/slightly less. Seems like some have reappeared today. There is clearly at least 1 player blatantly using rta though.

by Unguarded P

I noticed that the 200-500z pools had been fairly dead the past week. I wonder if it's because of bans? It seems unusual to have a decline in traffic just as the Super Bowl is approaching.

Yeah there was a massive difference in games running for a brief bit when bots seemingly was gone. Think they are back again though from the looks of it.

the bots play soooo weird, they have to be severely exploitable no?

I mean, It's difficult to know in anon games. I can't say that i've spotted any of the bots (with any confidence at least, i know they're there). The colluders are very easy to spot now (for a couple of reasons not just their river play).

I assume these are the same bots as on ACR? What are the bots doing that make them so obvious? I'm happy for someone to dm me rather than post publicly.

A few years ago I would’ve said that it’s probably unlikely that bots are infesting the site. Now I feel the exact opposite. It really does look like there are quite a few bots here

what stakes are the bots at? i havent played much above 10/25 cent , just a few times at 50c/$1(high roller)....theres no bots down this low at 10/25cent

There are heaps imo. The games feel very robotic, lots of weird lines, insane hero calls, folds, and insane bluffs. If you think thats just normal 25nl players then lol. No wonder the botters are getting away with things so easily when regs are so stupid they can't even notice. The bots anyone can buy easily are actually designed to exploit micro limits so there would be more of them there than higher stakes. 25nl is huge money for many poor countries even 5nl is...

The bots are the colluders. You can dm me if you want info, but the most obvious thing is that they clearly don't adjust in any way. They play with a static strategy. Which just become so unique as we all know that have played the games there are some extreme player types out there.

Yeah, so I had a few dm conversations, I was thinking the colluders and bots were separate, it's clear they are two and the same. We all seemed to have much the same read on them.

fwiw, the games right now at 1k are horrendous. About 4-5 days ago I didn't see them at the tables but I currently have 4 of them at 1 table alone, 3 at another.

I never played them hu before either, but I was playing them hu earlier. They were playing super funky strategy HU, mixing limps and opens, still donking a bunch too. When table filled they reverted back to the usual strategies.

Did catch one malfunctioning in the wild though.

It's absurd how fast they are multiplying. A few years ago it would be possible to open sit and wait for action, however now everytime I sit if there is not already someone sitting one person will sit and be followed by 2-3 right after all playing the same botty style. If i quit, they just quit as well and same thing will keep happening over and over.

They're probaly running house bots, there are sites that make em and sell em for online operators. Guess there's a small chance it could happen with sports betting getting legalized all over here but still wouldn't hold my breath but federal regulation needs to happen in the US now more than ever

I experience this to a degree and I chalk it up to the software just being so bad that it doesn't queue you properly. For example I can be sitting a table alone for 30-60 seconds, and then fire up another table and be immediately sat.

See what comes of this.

I am wondering if anyone from Ignition will go public with their findings and potential fixes. I've heard they're working with some high stakes players to fix the bot/collusion issue, so it would be nice if they came out like " hey, yeah, we know we ****ed up, but it's safer now".

Wow that is wild.

LOL i wouldn't count on them doing that. When's the last time anyone here was issued a refund for shady activity? I've already said it in this thread and some reasons why but again i wouldn't be surprised if they're in on it as long as been going on and as rampant as it is, also wouldn't be surprised if they're segregating players either. Their "security" can not be literally as dumb and as blind as they're appearing to be

I am convinced there is a group of colluders that play 200NL Full Ring starting at round 2-3pm EST time. They all go to the flop with you and either high card you or squeeze you out later in the hand if they can trap you in the middle. I might be wrong but I have seen this same stuff for months now. I thought playing Full Ring was good idea to protect myself from being caught in a 6 max game against a team but I can see the same stuff at FL.

Just be careful in multiway pots vs guys with non rec stats.

I started noticing this in early 2023. Got so bad I went from playing almost exclusively on ignition to playing 0 volume there in the last 9 months.

I play full ring 200 and everything seemed to change in december and January was just awful, back raising, squeezing, over 3b hopefully
Ignition is looking into this. I agree their seems to be some type of collusion going on....

so weird you say this, because I have also expected something strange going on for the past few months. Things have seemed super unusual

I know it’s stupid but I play blackjack on ignition once in a while. I had $325 on there yesterday and now it is completely missing. Has anyone had an issue like this in the past with ignition?

started in december, there are probably easily 20 accounts playing at all time on a variety of stakes

Just saw all my tables pretty much die and I cant join others. Anyone else have this problem?

Played for an hour at 7:30pm cst. Left for a quick break and could not get a table to seat.
