Ukraine-Russia War Take 2
Here is what the preliminary take on the Ukraine thread disappearing is:
The site was hit with a massive spam attack where hundreds of spam threads were created. In the case where, for example, I see a single spam thread and delete it, that is called a soft delete, and mods can still see them but forum members cannot. Those deletion can be undone.
When a massive attack hits with hundreds of threads, an admin uses a different procedure where the hundreds of spam threads are merged and then hard deleted, where the threads are gone, and no note is left behind. As I have mentioned with my own experience of just soft deleting a large number of posts, sometimes a post or thread gets checked or merged accidentally and is deleted by mistake. Dealing with hundreds of spam threads takes a sledgehammer, not a scalpel.
It appears that our Ukraine thread may have gotten caught up in that recent net of spam threads. If so, it is likely gone for good. I cant say this for sure, and am awaiting comments from admins on this issue. Yes, this sucks. And hopefully there was some other software glitch that caused the disappearance, and we may recover it in the future.
But in the meantime, I have created this new Ukraine-Russia War thread to enable the conversation to continue. Obviously continuity with earlier discussions will be lost. There is no way around that. So as best as possible, let's pick up the conversation with recent events and go from there.

We had a whole back and forth about it. After claiming you never meant that I went back and found like 5 quotes where you clearly meant it. You then said "Well my views change" despite the fact that one of the quotes was 3 days prior. You then kept posting the same takes. You were straight up saying that Zaluzhnyi is a neo-nazi warmonger who is running the show.
You said that Zelenskyy is an amoral warmonger backed by "banderistas" (because you'd just come across this term in your Russian propaganda and didn't realize it was actually 'banderites').
Now that he's been fired you're pivoting to "I just meant he had some power" while posting Russian propaganda saying that he's shoring up his neo-nazi base to enact another coup.

the rest is pretty much true. I walked back how much Zelensky was involved with the far right. it looks like he was beholden to them but not agreeable. and now he has loosened their grip by removing Zaluzhny.
all I know is that Russia is winning. Zaluzhny is real friendly with neo-Nazis. and questions dont mean claims.
It's pretty incredible that the narrative has switched so drastically that the "Zelenskyy is a covert Jew Nazi elevated to president to control Ukraine" crowd now has to create narratives where Zelenskyy is twice the hero as the non-bs narrative since not only is he fighting Putin but he's doing it at the same time as he is prying the government back from his Nazi puppet masters.
Maybe questions don't equal claims, but are they a way to voice increasingly ridiculous conspiracy theories while trying to not be held accountable for them?

well they offered to leave Donbass back in April 2022 in exchange for a cease-fire. Ukraine was like lol no.

You're saying that they should have elections because some people say they are fighting for western democracy? But also they're not actually fighting for western democracy but they should still have elections under the logic that they're fighting for western democracy and that means they should have elections?
