Lol, remember trying to look at a playboy at the magazine rack in a corner store or drug store while your mom was shopping?

My local shop had the hardcore stuff on the top shelf and he was happy to sell them to me (as well as cigarettes) since I was about 12. What can I say, I was a precocious kid.

Sure sure it's "one catholic priest only" who is a pedophile as well.

Man I have been very close and still I am to come to your country with my kids, as an adult son of a citizen that can sponsor financially I just need to enter a queue basically

Again, pretty inconsistent with your desire to have private schools replace the public ones.

He just knew you would be a lifelong customer.

I’m going to bed but you guys realize you’re comparing an award winning memoir with porn magazines and much more egregiously catholics abusing children right?

It’s one of the most controversial nonfiction books of our day. In 2010 2p2, that would have compelled some of you to actually read it.

It’s objectively a good book.
but carry on.

Most memoirs do not have pictures, and great ones certainly wouldn't need them.

Objectively a good book, eh? 🙄

Lol award winning, radical leftists give awards to themselves and that's not going to be worth anything for anyone who isn't a radical leftist.

Award winning roflmao.

eh, I don't know. Maybe 99% of kids are not influenced by a book like that at all. There is a very small percentage of people that are unduly influenced by stuff they are exposed to for various reasons. There are much higher rates of young people identifying as gay, non-binary, etc., and at least some of that has to be because of much more open exposure to those things (though obviously not all of it).

Yeah I'm gonna need some actual evidence that books are turning kids gay.

It’s objectively a good book.

There's no such thing.

Graphic novels are not my thing, but this is a pretty ridiculous statement.

You should check out Maus before it gets pulled from your library. And Peresopolis.

Elizabeth Berkey never did anything for me, even going back to Saved By the Bell days. But I always found Gina Gershon very attractive in a sultry kind of way.

You need to see Bound (1996) she goes chick on chick with Jennifer Tilly.

Trying to pollute the forum to with teh gay, I see.

Lol Showgirls. That's what our generation had to make do with. And our parents, with top shelf mags from the corner store. Kids today have it easy, 2 clicks and you're away.

And make do with it on VHS where you'd pause it only for that crappy snowy tracking line to obscure Elizabeth Berkley's ta-tas. Same with Basic Instinct during that leg uncrossing scene. 😡

Ah, Basic Instinct. I think I actually wore out my copy from all the pausing on that one specific scene.

by Victor P

ok well make sure you dont leave out the 'h' in gerson jfc I think I just got traumatized.

I was like wtf is Dunya into.

Whoa I just googled Gina Gerson without the H. Thank God it's my day off and I didn't google that $hit in work yo. 😮

"Showgirls" was a truly wonderful, god-awful movie. Would watch again.

Saw this on twitter, but i don't think it's true for either Bryce or Victor

did you read the book?

by spaceman Bryce P

did you read the book?

By definition, the quality of a book, any book, is subjective. Unless you mean it has a very nice binding and proper copy-editing, then carry on.

Oh wait, are using objective to mean subjective like with literally/figuratively?

This doesn't answer Bryce's question.

Are you sure quality is subjective? If you're convinced that the quality of my paintings compared to those of Van Gogh is subjective then me thinks you are missing something very important.

Try zen and the art of motorcycle maintenace. A book full of quality. No pics afaik

by Trolly McTrollson P

This doesn't answer Bryce's question.

Why are you such a dishonest poster? Bryce's question was in response to "there is no such thing" as an objectively good book. I made no claim about the book in question. I assume Bryce is smart enough to follow along. But for those that are not as smart as Bryce - No, I have not read it. If I did read it, what I thought about it would have no bearing on my point. So there was no reason to answer.

I am positive that there are at least 10 people in the world, should they have a chance to view them, that would find your paintings to be of the highest quality and van Gogh not so much.

I'm sure you can find more than that who think the world is flatf

TIL that unless you read Mein Kampf in full with the annotated version that explains all details to you, you can't claim it's a Nazi book

What I get out of this is that no, none of you have read the book.

Luciom, the book isn’t ideological in nature and that is clear to anyone who has actually read the book. It’s a book that is a self discovery journey. The art is superb, and the story is honest and compelling.
The weird thing about this puritanism is that more graphic and adult content is routinely praised on here- things like the sopranos , pulp fiction etc. People play games like grand theft auto and amnesia the dark descent on here. Some people on this site even frequent casinos. But when it comes to a book you haven’t read it’s probably evil because it has a non binary character in it. 🙄 gmafb
