ex-President Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:
a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?
b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

Yes he should be able to use the shares as collateral for a loan/bond, but the discount factor would be huge, because the stock is presumably very volatile and clearly overvalued. We are talking ballpark 5bln market cap, with ballpark 3bln in Trump hands, negative profits and decreasing user engagement.
So even if he is willing to commit 1bln from that to get a 500m loan, which is usually an abundant cut for stock collateral, for this specific stock he won't necessarily find takers
Sorry to say, looks like someone else...I'm sure they're just as legit and above board as the ones you mentioned though!
DWAC was created with the help of ARC Capital, a Shanghai-based firm specializing in listing Chinese companies on American stock markets that has been a target of U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations for misrepresenting shell corporations.[3][4][5] Some investors were surprised to learn that their investment money was being used to finance a Trump company.[6] In 2021, the DWAC Trump venture was linked with another company, China Yunhong Holdings, based in Wuhan, Hubei,[7][8] until its lead banker who was running the merger promised to sever ties with China in December 2021, stating that Yunhong was to "dissolve and liquidate".[9][10] In February 2022, Reuters reported that the connection between Shanghai-based ARC Capital and Digital World was more extensive than thought, with ARC having offered money to get the SPAC off the ground.
Oh no! Not the polls!
He was suggesting violent people only vote for trump by saying he isn’t surprised a violent person like Tyson would vote for trump. I was just pointing out how dumb it is to suggest all violent people vote for one party or the other.
On the other topic of who the blm rioters voted for: are you honestly trying to suggest that you don’t know which way a huge majority of them vote for? Did you notice a large chunk of one political party supporting blm and the majority of the other party not supporting them?
a huge majority of the people who rioted during the blm protests *do not vote*
each and every one of the people who spent their own money to travel to DC on Jan 6 vote.
We aren't talking about who supported blm. We are talking who rioted at the blm protests. And no, I did not notice a largue chunk of one political party rioting, unless you are specifically referring to the white supremacists who repeatedly were found to be instigating those riots.
White supremacists are pretty universally conservative republicans.
I hope that helped.
Lol
CNN proves Letitia James wrong.

I can't even view this video, it says it's restricted.
Don Poorleone is pretty damn funny.
Donald Trump had been facing the prospect of forking over nearly half a billion dollars today.
But now he has been given 10 more days, and that sum has been reduced down to $175m.
I would be interested to learn how much he's spent on lawyers in his lifetime.
Since he doesn't pay his bills, probably less than you think.
for the hush money trial, can someone tell me why the statute of limitations doesn't apply? afaik the contested actions happened on 2016 and there is a 5 years statute of limitations, what am I missing?
That was before he could get his MAGAt following to pay his legal fees.
The last $100 million or so in legal fees have been paid by his MAGAt adherents.
Damn, Agent Orange caught a massive break in the appeal, huh? Shame.
I may have this wrong, but I think the clock wasn't ticking during his presidency because he couldn't be charged during that window of time.
not the appeal yet, this is pre -appeal maneuvering
