ex-President Trump

ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:

a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?

b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

btw you're off the ignore list now, that's an avatar I can go with

This doesn't give any reason for the extension and reduction in amount.

Was this decision made by a Trump appointee?

The decision has been made by a new York state appeal court.

It was a 5 judges panel, state judges not federal, this is a state case.

Trump never appointed any new York state appeal judges.

State appeal judges are appointed by New York governors, from a list crafted by judges themselves, and confirmed by the NY state senate.

Tl😃r more experts judges evaluated as utterly grotesque the size of the fine, signaling at the very least Trump will be able to reduce it by a lot in appeal.

Keep in mind according to NYS law experts interviewed by various media in the past couple of months, the statue used to fine trump 365m is almost never used for that, and the amount is unprecedented.

By anyway let's wait for the whole appeal to happen

I don't know how you came up with this. They very clearly said if he didn't post the new amount in 10 days the entire fine could be enforced.

what other reason can there be for the reduction, if not a high probability the final fine will be lower than that?

this is a tough situation. blahblahblahmickey is an authority on stupid things to say

😂😂😂😂😂

Since they gave no reason, we can only guess. They ordered the amount needed to be posted for appeal but let the full amount stand if the new amount is not posted in ten days. I think the court recognized that the full amount would be difficult to impossible for Trump - or anyone, even people that are actual multi-billionaires - to post and would interfere with his right to appeal. They heard no arguments on the merit of the verdict or the correctness of the fine. They made no comment on that.

It's so sad that all the liberals that hate President Trump don't care about the basics which is what this case was all about because if they did, they would be outraged that a government can do this against a political opponent.

This case is about President Trump over valuing the price of Mar a Lago. The state of NY arbitrarily said it's work 18MM. Zillow is estimating it at 60MM. Turmp knows it's worth much more because he knows what the property contains and consists of (what you see above ground is probably at least mirrored below ground, maybe to 10x from what's I've heard. It's a fortress, it's not a house).

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1100-...

How on earth can a government request out of the blue (because there were no complainants or reporting parties), documents that a certain individual emailed to a bank while asking for a loan. The banks were happy to do business with him, made money, got paid back, and furthermore, if they really wanted to know what the property was worth don't people understand they would get it formerly appraised?

The banks don't take what loan prospects "tell them" with more than a grain of salt. The state of NY fined Trump a half billion dollars for "under estimating the value of his property" (in a civil case, because they have nothing to charge him with criminally), only because he's running against the establishment deep state criminal satanic cult who are the ones that bought off the judge and the communist AG (who the fake mockingburd media calls "trish", a hero to them) because they know their power structure is being heavily challenged.

People are OK with their state's attorney general going to their current employer, and pulling your resume and saying "You didn't work at Burger King from 2014 to 2019, you worked there from 2014 to 2018, got fired, and was on unemployment for a year" then taking you to court, winning, and being fined 500 thousand dollars for "defrauding your employer", even though they loved you and considered you their best worker (as with Trump, the banks loved him too and never accused him of defrauding them).

If you can't wake up now, the future is gonna be a lot harder for you that I can assure you.

TLDR.

If it's worth as much as you say, why did his own company value it at 27m in 2020? You must be saying he committed tax fraud rather than bank fraud, then.

Don't you think if he committed tax fraud (they've searched high and low for 3 years, then high and low again and again) that he would of been charged criminally for it? Don't spin the facts of the case in question. Treason is being committed in front of everyone in plain sight by a criminal regime. The penalty for treason is death by hanging. She committed treason a lot more than trump committed fraud by a million light years.

it wasn't convincted of tax fraud, it was a civil fraud case

So then if he didn't commit tax fraud, it really is valued at about 27 million? Otherwise he would've been charged with tax fraud, right?

It's definitely not political Playbig. Eventually they'll go after everyone who overvalued their property to secure loans. Now that governments sees what sorts of awards it can get it'll want that money.

For now his business gets the verdict and I guess in the end trump will eat it too ?

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/12/06/polit...

A Manhattan jury has found two Trump Organization companies guilty on multiple charges of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records connected to a 15-year scheme to defraud tax authorities by failing to report and pay taxes on compensation for top executives.

The Trump Corp. and Trump Payroll Corp. were found guilty on all charges they faced.

Seem the problem I see all his lawyers , accountants etc accept to pleaded guilty by suspecting if trump gets elected they will be pardon right ?

Like all others « friends » of trump previously condemn …

It just amazing how many criminal trump surrounded himself with but him personally is as pure has Virgin Mary huh ?
A true mob boss …

Or trump is just an idiot and see absolutely nothing and gets screwed by everyone or his just a mastermind in using people for personal benefits.
Certainly not great qualities to run a country imo.

Montreal, Trump can't pardon people for state crimes if he becomes president, only for federal crimes.

it's the New York governor that can pardon people for NYS crimes.

Zillow says my house worth 48.9% higher than what my house is tax assessed at. Do you think I am committing property tax fraud? Please note that I have never once argued the assessment - they send the bill and I pay it.

It's just like stealing, ain't it?
How do you sleep at night?

That reminds me, when is the next liberal satanic cult meeting anyway?
I must have forgotten to put on in my Google calendar. I think this month is my turn to bring the child for sacrifice and I don't want to let anyone down.

50% is not 5,000% dude. 18m vs 27m is whatever. 27m vs 1.7bn is quite the disparity.

I didn't really read PB's post properly but I guess he's saying there is a Disney world-sized but nuclear bunker in the basement that nobody knows about or something?

If that were the case, personally, I'd be hiding my stolen top secret documents down there... Not just strewing them about the place where every Tom, Dick, and Harry (or should I say, Chinese, Russian, and Saudi agent) can see them!

If you want to talk about social media and corruption you need to look at social medias massive role in our last election by dems pressuring social media to block the laptop story.

Btw it is NOT corruption to donate with the explicit intent of getting political favours, if the political actions you donate for are legal.

And i am not sure democrats want to sum up billionaires donations and check which party is getting more
