ex-President Trump

ex-President Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at low-info Boomers like my religions aunts. I have two questions:

a) Is anyone here who supports Trump bothered by lies like this?

b) Does anyone know what he's even talking about here? Like is there some grain of truth that he's embellishing on bigly?

Btw it is NOT corruption to donate with the explicit intent of getting political favours, if the political actions you donate for are legal.

I guess you are correct, if you are using "explicit intent" to mean "uncommunicated hope or expectation."

But if you are imagining some sort of communication whereby you tell a politician, "I will donate this money, but only if you agree to sponsor XYZ bill," and the politician agrees, that most certainly would be corruption. And in many cases, I imagine that it would be illegal as well.

lol it most certainly is not

He’s actually a pretty good golfer according to Tiger

DJT is not a golfer. He is a confirmed cheater on the course. Tiger was being kind in his assessment... as would I in the same situation.

His swing is lol. Someone that plays several times per week will hit some good shots. But on the whole, he has no chance of being a good golfer (with a 5 or less accurate handicap). I rarely play any more, but I would bet I could beat him on a legit course with each participant being infracted for each "misapplication" of the Rules.

Witch hunt!

Yeah, well what does Tiger know about golf? He should stick to Frosties.

"i will donate this money to you because I know you will not vote for XYZ, unlike your opponent, as you understand and know that is bad for the nation" isn't corruption in the USA afaik.

no need for the politician to "agree" explicitly to anything

It's definitely not political Playbig. Eventually they'll go after everyone who overvalued their property to secure loans. Now that governments sees what sorts of awards it can get it'll want that money.

even if it is political, isnt the dude a politician? Even if it is political, trump still did it and needs to be held responsible. Should politicians be held to lower or higher standards than everyone else?

Trump gets forced by the judicial system to sell part of one of his companies and you are claiming corruption?

If you want to talk about social media and corruption you need to look at social medias massive role in our last election by dems pressuring social media to block the laptop story.

cant he go to jail instead of paying? Also, dems pressuring twitter is nothing compared to the russians paying fb to run fake ads against hillary

Sorry for believing what Tiger said. Tiger covered a bunch of Presidents and had no issue saying Clinton was creative with his score.

I did see Trump drive his cart over a green which I thought was bad

Amazing you know how good he is . Have you played a round with him ? Tiger has

jail has nothing to do with this pointless, I don't understand why you don't understand what we are talking about is a civil matter.

if he doesn't have enough money to pay he goes bankrupt at most, there is no jail in the picture, not from that trial

good point

Jail? What exactly did he do to deserve to go to jail?

If President Trump doesn't get "re-elected", you're life in 5 years will be just like living in a jail (if we're not wiped out by a nuclear war by then).

Odds you said exactly the same thing 5 years ago?

Actually no but we all know the left said that about Trump if he got elected and it never happened . He didn't even prosecute Crooked Hilary πŸ˜€

Yet here we are 3 wars/conflicts later under Biden

Good thing he and kim jong un don't play on the tour. Nobody else would ever win.

You mean they said he was a fascist and an autocrat and then he refused to concede the presidency and then tried to stage an insurrection to steal the election? Sounds like they were right to me.

When have i heard this before? hmmm.....

from what i've read, trump is "too busy" to compete in the club championships, so he golfs one round on his own at some random time and if he records a lower score than the person that won the tourney trump claims it as his own.

You have to love the lefts die hard commitment to "knowing" there is no way trump is good at anything considered positive.

Even in the face of the GOAT golfer saying trump isn't bad at golf we have someone here who claims he rarely plays golf, but is convinced that he can watch trump's swing and knows without a doubt that trump is terrible at golf. You must think that Tiger isn't knowledgeable enough at golf to realize that trump was cheating when they were playing together?

by lozen P

Biden ended America's useless occupation of Afghanistan despite rabid opposition from Republicans but OK.

Loozen to the rescue. Anything bad said about trump and Loozen defends him.

"Trump doesn’t just cheat at golf," Reilly wrote. "He throws it, boots it, and moves it.
He lies about his lies. He fudges and foozles and fluffs. At Winged Foot,
where Trump is a member, the caddies got so used to seeing him kick his
ball back onto the fairway they came up with a nickname for him: 'Pele.'”

after his first round with Trump, O’Donnell couldn’t resist asking.
β€œSo, does he improve his lie?”
Eddis looked at him and threw his head back in laughter. β€œEvery shot but the tee shot.”

I'm not sure how or why you would consider russia trying to influence an election somehow worse than a large group of dems and intelligence agents getting together to influence an election. What happens in the US economy is too important to the world economy for countries to not try to place influence in the election since they benefit or are hurt by our election.

I'm not sure if russia running fake ads is even illegal in russia - if it is it shouldn't be.

Either way, I will compromise with you and agree that both russia intelligence officers and all dems that knew the laptop was real should receive a 10 year bad on holding any US public service job.

by d2_e4 P

You mean they said he was a fascist and an autocrat and then he refused to concede the presidency and then tried to stage an insurrection to steal the election? Sounds like they were right to me.

What do you think had a better chance of influencing an election of the most powerful country in the history of the world? (Please answer what you think likely had a better chance of influencing an election AND also if you ran a million simulations of each of the following 2 options which do you think has a greater chance of succeeding):

a) a few hundred un-armed people breaking some windows and running into the capital building to protest
b) the dem party and ~50 intelligence agents coercing media companies that a laptop that would have made one candidate look really bad was fake right before an election

I earned a PGA card in my twenties and have given countless lessons. Does THAT give my opinion some credence?

Some, but not enough when compared to the literal GOAT of golf.
